Layout Tuesday: Christmas Day Fun

The holidays may be over, but that doesn't stop Creations Galore from carrying Christmas themed items! Plus, we have so many photos to scrap now! That's why today's Layout Tuesday is dedicated to this fun layout using Crate Paper's Peppermint Collection and highlights our favorite kids on Christmas Day!

We love the fun mix of colors in this collection which coordinated perfectly with the bright colors in the photos. The title came from the 12x12 Chipboard Stickers. We added a few more chipboard pieces to the layout to coordinate with the stickers and brads. But our favorite part of this collection and layout are the Stand Outs. They're self adhesive, quickly adding dimension and interest to any project!

Have you documented you holiday yet? Bring your photos into Creations Galore and let us help you find the perfect paper and embellishments for your project!

Using 6x6 Paper Pads: Inspiration for all Paper Crafters

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday! Today we're bringing you a few projects using 6x6 paper pads. Why you ask? What makes them so great? Well, sit back as we discuss ways to incorporate this product into your paper crafting.

SCRAPBOOKERS: We understand that you scrapbook in 8.5x11 or 12x12 sizes, making 6x6 far too small for a background page. But what about layers? On the page below, Nicole used several pieces from a 6x6 paper pad to create all the fun layers. Notice, she cut the brown floral paper in half to appear as though she used additional pieces. Since all of the colors and patterns in the pad are part of one collection, all of the guesswork is taken out of the design process.

PROJECT LIFERS: Did you know you can cut one 4x6 piece or two 3x4 pieces from one 6x6 sheet and have a 2x6 strip left over for punches, borders, and layers? Sure, you can get six 4x6 pieces from a 12x12 sheet, but that's six of the same pattern! We love the variety in a 6x6 pad, along with cheaper cost and less scraps! In the spread below, you can see how multiple patterned papers were used to fill the pockets. Do you see the middle 3x4 card that uses all those 2x6 strips? So much fun!

CARD MAKERS: We've saved the best for last! 6x6 paper pads were made FOR YOU. For all of the above statements, you could easily say, just cut a 6x6 piece from a 12x12 patterned paper. Sure... But then you would have a piece with the larger pattern. All the designs are shrunk down and sized perfectly when it comes to 6x6. In the card below, you can see how important this becomes. Instead of one large red flower, you can see the full design with lots of flowers. A smaller project calls for smaller designs, and 6x6 pads are your answer!

We hope this has inspired you to take another look at these miniature paper pads. As previously stated, they're one of Creations Galore's most treasured items. We love them in all colors, styles, and themes! Below, you can take a look at just four of our recent go-to paper pads.

Do you create with paper pads or do you mostly buy in individual sheets? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below!

To order any of these products, simply click on the link below each item to be taken to our online store. You can see these paper pads, along with many more, in store too at 3164 Coronet Way in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Hello bloggers! We hope you're having a great weekend so far. Because of our wonderful customers, we've been having a GREAT weekend ourselves. Yesterday and today we've enjoyed the sweet company of many scrapbookers working away in our crop room, card makers learning new techniques at our Make N Take station, and shoppers taking in all the new products we've received. Thank you so much for making us your go-to paper crafting store!

Let's continue all this paper fun, shall we?! We have so much paper here at Creations Galore, we're never sure if you'll be able to see it all! With 10,000 square feet of paper crafting goodies, we know it can be overwhelming. Therefore, every week we bring you another paper for your consideration.

Today, we're showing off Present, a 12x12 double sided paper from the Peppermint Collection by Crate Paper. You may not want to think about Christmas just yet, but it's only a few months away. If you're making your Christmas cards, gifts, or gift packaging, you'll want to take a peek at the Peppermint Collection. This paper that we've selected for today has a whole lot of tags to cut out and attach to your gifts. Boy, are they adorable! What do you think?

Time for more scrapbook inspiration! Nicole, here, sharing a fun layout using paper and embellishments from Crate Paper's Farmhouse and Peppermint Collections.

The orange patterned strip toward the bottom of the layout is actually the piece you cut off the 12x12 designer paper that holds the UPC code. I love finding ways to use every last scrap.

Gather your Holiday photos... It's time to Scrap!

Hello Crafters! Christmas has passed and the new year is upon us. You may have taken down the tree, put away the gifts, and eaten all the left overs, but the fun isn't over just yet. It's time to start scrapping all those holiday pictures and preserve your precious memories. Here's a little Christmas layout inspirations brought to you by Nicole, our Creative Genius, using the Peppermint Collection from Crate Paper.

I sometimes feel like I'm creating the same holiday layouts year after year. This collection from Crate Paper is perfect, as some of the paper and embellishments are untraditional. I was instantly drawn to all the embellishments and had to use them all over this layout.

Take a look at the embellishments from Crate Paper's Peppermint Collection below. All are available online and in store at 3164 Coronet Way, Green Bay, WI
