Happy Watercolour Sneak Peek!

Good morning!
I got my delivery of my sneak peek items from the Spring/Summer catalogue yesterday but I only had time for a very quick play with them today. Here is a card I made for a dear friend who is going through a very tough time right now.

I have used the lovely new set Happy Watercolour and stamped it with Pool Party and Basic Black ink.

The sentiment is from Petite Pairs.

Winter Blues for Less Is More

Good morning!
Oooh it's good to be up early on a Saturday, making that quick card before I go to work!

I have some wonderful news too! I am honoured to have been asked to sponsor Less is More for the month of January! How wonderful is that?! Thank you so much Chrissie and Jen!

I am offering a £15 Stampin' Up! voucher to the winner!

This week's challenge at Less Is More is

WINTER BLUES

So here is my entry...

I used one of the Designer Frames Embossing folders for the frame, a sentiment from Petite Pairs cut our with the Elegant Label punch and stamped some ink spray using the Gorgeous Grunge stamps....a set I have totally fallen in love with!

I finished with a retired embellishment, some Whisper White Baker's Twine and some Crystal Effects dotted around the card.

I have to dash now...whatever you're doing, have a fab Saturday! :)

A Christmas flower

How is your week going? Mine is very busy, but looking good!
Here is a card I made for my Stampers 6 this month...I'm only showing one because, as usual, I packed them all before photographing them!

I love this colour combo! I have used the Winter Frost papers and punched out the main flower with the Blossom Punch, and cut the middle out following the pattern.

The ribbon is Coastal Cabana Stretch Ruffle Trim and I finished with some Silver Glass Glitter in the centre of the flower. The sentiment is from Pretty Petites.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White, Smoky Slate
Stamp - Petite Pairs
Ink - Basic Gray
Designer Series Paper - Winter Frost
Ribbon - Coastal Cabana Ruffle Stretch Trim
Punch - Blossom Punch
Glitter - Silver Glass Glitter

A Partial Cut Framelit Christmas Card!

Hello!
I'm here to show you the other card I made on Monday night, this time using one of the sets from the carry over items from last year's seasonal catalogue.

As much as this looks like the bauble is white, it's not...I have heat embossed it on Basic Black card with Pool Party Embossing Powder, then Iridescent Ice to give it some sparkle, not that I can get it to show on the photos!

I did some light embossing on the right of the inside of the card by just rubbing the card between the Mosaic EF, rather than running it through the Bigshot.

So are you wondering how I created the partial cut bauble in the card? You can find a great tutorial by Paula here, that will work with pretty much any framelit!

Supplies
Stamps - Ornament Keepsakes, Petite Pairs
Dies - Holiday Ornaments
Embossing - Pool Party EP, Mosaic EF

More Simply Pressed Flowers...handmade roses this time!

Good morning!
Yup, I have been having a play with this lovely, incredible light and easy to use Simply Pressed Clay, and here is what I have made...

I stamped Flowering Flourishes in the lovely new Pistachio Pudding and I used Coastal Cabana and the Gingham Stampin' Around Wheel for the border.

Now to the roses...I coloured them Strawberry Slush by pressing the clay into my ink pad and working the colour in. I then made lots of small balls which I pressed into circles (about 8 or 9 for the large rose, 3 or 4 for the buds) Then simply roll the first circle into a cone shape, then gently wrap the other circles round the edges, building up your flower. Once the flowers were almost dry, I then cut the bottoms to allow them to sit on the card better.

The fab sentiment is from Petite Pairs, which are two part sentiments, and the other half is stamped inside the card 'to someone who makes other so happy'
This lovely set of sentiment is part of a promotion and you can get them at 25% off in the month of July!

If you would like to order these sentiments, any of the products I have used, or any of the other fabulous new products, please do contact me and I will be very happy to place your order for you.

Simply Pressed Clay Flowers!

Good afternoon!
Sorry I am so late with today's post...I had my parents over for tea last night and by the time they left I was sooooo not in a crafty mood...might have something to do with the 3 bottles of wine we drank!

Anyway, I have made a card this afternoon using the fantastic new Simply Pressed Clay. It is so easy to use and so versatile! Oh and so very easy to colour!

I have used the Simply Pressed Clay Moulds to make these gorgeous flowers. The clay is naturally white but as I said, to colour it is very easy. There are many ways to colour it...you can add a few drops of ink from a re-inker and massage it in, you can make your embellishment, and then colour it with Stampin' Write markers, or you can do what I did. I simply pressed my clay into a 'pattie' then pressed each side onto my ink pad, in this case the brand new yummy Strawberry Slush! Then just work in the colour until it's all even. You can then add more colour in the same way if you wish.

The clay is then 'simply pressed' into the moulds and popped out.
*TIP - if the clay sticks to the mould a little, pop the mould with the clay into the freezer for about 10 mins. They'll pop out no problem then! :)
One thing I really love about this clay is that when it dries it's very, very light, and soft...it has an almost 'soft foam' like feel to it...great for embellishing cards without adding weight to the postage!

Supplies
Cardstock - Basic Gray, Whisper White
Embellishments - Simply Pressed Clay and Moulds
Embossing - Fancy Fan EF
Ink - Strawberry Slush, Basic Gray
Stamp - Petite Pairs
Punch - Elegant Label

A Flutterby Sketch

Hello!
I made this card really quickly last night...I just seemed to have a spark of inspiration!

I used some of the new In Colours and the new Artisan bundle for this card, teamed with the Woodgrain EF and Scallop Trim Border Punch.

Oh and not forgetting Papillon Potpourri and Petite Pairs! I stamped the butterflies onto vellum for a softer look.
That's about it, other that to say the colours are Baked Brown Sugar, Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe.

Goodbye Twitterpated :(

Good morning :)
Here is a really pretty card I made in an attempt to use up some Designer Papers that are retiring soon...

I have used Twitterpated paper here...such a shame this one is going as it is sooooo pretty!

The doilies are cut out of vellum using Large Delicate Doilies. The Papillon Potpourri butterfly is stamped onto vellum and heat embossed with Iridescent Ice EF. I finished with a few pieces of ribbon.

Supplies
Cardstock - Raspberry Ripple
Designer Series Paper - Twitterpated
Stamps - Petite Pairs, Papillon Potpourri
Ink - Basic Gray, Versamark
Embossing - Iridescent Ice EF
Punches and Dies - Elegant Butterfly, Large Delicate Doilies

Although it's sad that Twitterpated is retiring, it is still available to but until 31st June AND it is reduced! It is now only £4.98 for 12 sheets of gorgeous 12x12in papers! So please do contact me now to order your pack before it's too late!

Isn't it gorgeous??
in fact, whilst I was making this card I decided to use some of the paper for a more 'everyday' item, just so I don't miss it too much!

Yup...that is my mobile phone with it's new look! Like it? I was inspired to give it ago by one of my fellow Demos, Nicky Bailey.

A Little Robbie & a Card

Good morning!
I am a little tired this morning after a really good night last night...more on that shortly!

For now, here is a card made using an image I had lying on my desk, left from when I made the large Father's Day order...

I had tried 'stamping off' this image to see how it looked; it's much softer than the pure black silhouette look, don't you think? The sentiment is from Petite Pairs but I re-arranged the layout to fit my panel better.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Designer Series Paper - Neutrals
Stamps - Serene Silhouettes, Petite Pairs
Ink - Basic Black, Basic Gray
Other - Whisper White Baker's Twine

So...
Wow! What a show we were at last night! Robbie sure does know how to put on a show! And Olly was just fab too...he is a real entertainer. Robbie said that Olly is his successor and while I thought that was very big headed, I do believe he could be right!

Here is one pic from the night...

I will post some more pics later today, when I have sorted them out!
Bye for now!
