Treasury Feature...

I am so excited to be featured in this wonderful caramel treasury that Miss FancifulFluff has put together. Thank you so very much for including this Caramel Cameo Choker Necklace that I created.

How fun to be part of a treasury and this is a first for me. I am very grateful.

Please check out FancifulFluff and her wonderful etsy shop. There are lots of great gift items to be found there. Yes, in my etsy shop also you can find gifts for all occasions and just because you want it, need it, like it etcetera.

This is the beginning of a very busy weekend and I hope you enjoy every moment of your time.

Happy being grateful...

Caramel Cameo Choker...

I have been busy in the studio with needle and thread and beads and lace. I call this Caramel Cameo Choker. The color is between caramel and butterscotch. Vintage lace is handstitched to grossgrain ribbon. Some gold toned beads are added to embellish the lace flowers and encircle the cameo.
Ties in the back with gold toned satin ribbon so it fits all sizes.
The look is very vintage and very feminine. I can see this worn with so many different looks from jeans to velvet. It would look especially appropriate with a Victorian costume don't you think?
I am thinking I should make some cuffs as they are so popular right now. I could make a Caramel Cameo Cuff. What do you think?
There is so much joy in making something with my own hands and stitching loving thoughts into each and every piece.

Happy Creating...

Happy creating is my signature line however I let too many things each day get in the way of doing just that. So here is a choker I made before my Southern venture I have just returned from.
This choker is completely stitched by hand (the red tie ribbon is pre-stitched) and made with the finest materials. I pay careful attention to detail and quality which should make this something that will last for a really long time.
I am very pleased with the final look of this unique Roses on Red choker.
I have promised myself to get back to my focus and therefore have listed this in my etsy shop.
There are so few hours in each day and I intend to utilize them being creative and feeling the joy that comes from making beautiful things with my hands.
Did you notice the tiny "dew drop" Swarovski clear crystal on each rose? It is in the details. :o)
Happy creating...

Blushing Pinks Choker-Lampwork and Lace

Blushing Pinks Choker - Lampwork and Lace. This is my newest creation. Burgundy grosgrain ribbons with Italian lace ribbon and green leaf ribbon all hand stitched together. The lampwork button focal piece is artisan made by Carol Rose. I purchased it a few years ago at our local artisan boutique held Thanksgiving weekend not knowing what I wanted to do with such a special piece. The obvious was to use it as a button on a sweater or something but that never really interested me as I hardly ever wear sweaters. Then one day the choker vision came to me and I really like how it is the focal piece.
I like to hand stitch my pieces together as I believe it is so much more hand created than mass produced. This choker has a lot of dimension with the Italian lace ribbon that is ruffled and stitched atop the leaf ribbon. I also hand stitched some lovely 6.0 seed beads to add interest and dimension. The choker ties in back with soft grosgrain 1/2" ribbon so the size is adjustable.
This is listed in my etsy shop and I would love to have you pop over and take a look for yourselves.
I am so pleased with how this turned out. From my vision to a finished piece.
I see this being worn with everything from Prom dresses to bridesmaid dresses to sundresses to tank tops and of course with elegant Victorian costumes.
What would you wear this with?

Choker Completed...

This feels so good to have it finished and ready for an event quickly coming up.
I handstitched this choker out of black lace and black grosgrain ribbon. The red rose braid is also handstitched on the black grosgrain. This choker ties with black velvet ribbons. I love how this lace really spreads out around the neck.
Then I made a fabric envelope to keep the choker in. It ties with the same black velvet ribbon as the choker.
I am so pleased with how this project turned out and the fact that it is ready for giving. I made it for a raffle which is coming up in early May. Proceeds not to benefit me but a fraternal organization.
I just know this will look amazing on the lovely lady who's number is drawn.
