Here is my project for you today! I made an advent calendar for my little boys. It has pockets to tuck in little toys or treats or you can take a little puppet on a Popsicle stick and move it to each pocket. I made the black background with just yardage of felt material from Joann's that was on sale for 50% off so it was only a couple dollars =D I purchased some Halloween theme wooden pins to attach to some of the pockets. I used the " All Mixed Up" Cricut cartridge to create the numbers. I used Little Scraps of Heavens "Its on the calendar October" to cut out the title all with felt. I used the "Hello Kitty" Cricut Cartridge to cut the title Happy Halloween"

Thank you so much for hopping by to see my Halloweeny project =D I have a fanpage on Facebook and would love for you to come by and "like" my page and keep in touch!

My project for today is a witch hat that I altered. I found the chipboard hat at Michael's and decorated with K and Company's "Ghostly Greetings" specialty paper. To make the cone shape on my pattern paper I used a party hat svg cutting file that I found free on line.

For my Haunted house project...I had fun creating this 3d paper piecing Haunted house. I bought this black plastic bin at the dollar section at Target. I created this as a gift to give to my son's teacher when we have the class Halloween party. I plan to have a gift tucked in. The trees where from the "spooky" collection over at Treasure Box Designs.

Thank you so much for hopping on by my haunted house!
I would love for you to keep in touch and become a follower of my blog =D Also I have a fanpage at facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Dreamscrapbooks/161518573921032

Halloween Banner For Fireplace Mantel

My son Jayden who is in Kindergarten helped me make this banner. I had him help me with the orange paper rosettes....folding the paper like you do a paper fan back and forth. He had so much fun doing this.

I then used my Cricut Cartridge Accent Essentials for the scallop circle and for the letters on "Spooky" I used the cart Printing Press. The Spider web is an svg file that I made and will share it with you on the next post...stay tuned =) Happy Creating!

Pumkin Craft Using Dryer Vent Ducting

Materials:

  • 4" flexible vinyl ducting (like they use to vent dryers and appliances)
    • white works better than metal...I used the metal because I couldn't find the white at my Home Depot
    • a 20 foot length of it will make 18 - 2' pumpkins but I made 3 large pumpkins with mine
    • scissors
  • hot glue gun/ glue

  • orange, high gloss spray paint

  • green and brown felt for the leaves and stem

  • wire cutters (note: I had to use a branch cutter to cut the wire it took a little work lol)
Instructions

  • pre cut the vinyl ducting into 24 inch sections (you will need scissors to cut through the vinyl, then a wire cutter to snip the middle wire apart)
  • Using orange high gloss spray paint, lightly coat the entire pumpkin.
  • Let dry 30 minutes.
  • Then use hot glue gun to secure pumpkin closed
  •  I then used the hot glue gun to glue the felt leaves and stem
