Little Miss Muffet - Chili Pepper

Well, it is Thursday once again and there is a new challenge at Little Miss Muffet.  The theme for the next 2 weeks is Fireworks and the inspiration photo is below.
The image I used is Chili Pepper from the Sugar and Spice Doll collection.  I thought the "POW" on his t-shirt fit with the theme and took the colors from the photo - Red, Orange, Yellow, Blue and White.
The patterned papers are Fancy Pants Beach Bum.  I used several different dies for this card.  The flag is a LMM banner die, Nestabilities Ovals and Die-Namics Stacking Stars.

I also used a sketch this week from Crazy 4 Challenges.

Little Miss Muffet: Celeste Fairy

Happy Thursday!

There is a new release today at Little Miss Muffet - new Halloween themed digis and a brand new banner die too!  This is Celeste Amberglow Fairy by Pollycraft.  She is a sweet fairy princess.  The patterned papers are from Fancy Pants "Childish Things".  I thought this paper was perfect with the castle and frog prince (see second card).
The Party Banner is a new die released today, I thought it went perfect with this image carrying through the hearts and stars.  The cardstock for the banner is a linen texture ivory. The colored hearts and stars are the cut outs I colored with Copic markers and set back into the banner.

I have a sneak peek card for this banner that was posted Tuesday, using Paprika as Raggedy Ann.  See it HERE in case you missed that post.
This is a layered image. I printed out the image twice, colored the background on the base image, colored the image of the second, cut it out and layered it on the base image.

This next card is actually the first card layout I made.  When I sketched this layout I had the flower paper in front but that blocked the castle and frog so I put it behind.  Then, I could not get the banner to work.  It was late.  The next morning {after I took these pictures} I realized that if I switched the papers and was able to use the banner I created.  Anyway, I like the frog in this one.
I stole the colored and matted image from this card and put it on the new layout with the banner at the top of the post.
I added some sparkle to the crown, star, wings and tutu skirt with Spica pens.  This picture shows the sparkle the best.

LMM: Park Glen Door Die

There is new release at Little Miss Muffet.  I have been SO excited about this one - Barbara has designed this fabulous die!  There are more dies in the works we are told.  Can't wait!  This is Park Glen Door Die.
I used all the pieces the die punches on this card.  There is the screen door frame, 3 hinges (that work), the door plate with keyhole, door handle and key.  This was SO fun to play with!

The designer paper is My Mind's Eye "Howdy Doody".  I cut the door opening in the patterned paper. I also cut a door out of Bazzill Walnut (Door frame) and Java (hardware).

To add the screen (thanks Barbara!), I add some double sided tape to the back of the brown door, then laid it on the mesh screen material.  Then I could trim around the perimeter of the door.  This is a 5.5" square card.  The door is approx. 2-9/16 wide x 4.5" tall.  It would make a lovely window too.

I added a couple mini antique brads to make a door knob and hook for the key.  Last night, when I was lying bed I got to thinking it would be pretty easy to make the door latch and the handle work - hmm - next time.  The verse is from a TAC stamp set.

One other thing - I used my Grand Calibur with this die (normal base and cutting plate) and it cut and embossed all at once.  Love that!

Challenges:
Catch a Bug - Anything Goes
Secret Crafter - Anything Goes
Great Impressions - Use a die cut or punch

Thanks for stopping by today...
