Little Miss Muffet: Build a Monster

Happy Thursday!

We have a new release at Little Miss Muffet.  The set is called Build a Monster.  There are a few combo sets and monsters to choose from...See them all HERE.  It is a huge set and so fun to play with.  I created several monsters, but today I have a pink and purple octopus-like sea monster.
I had been meaning to use a embossing technique I saw back in March.  I punched out several circles, multiple sizes and different colors.  Adhered the circles to the background cardstock, then used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the whole background.

Supplies --

We have a new challenge at Little Miss Muffet - Anything but Square.  I chose a scalloped circle for my shape card.  The image is one of the new images released last week - "Firefoot" by Simply Sophia.

I created a meadow using a PTI die "In the Meadow".  The pattern and solid color papers are from the BasicGrey collection "Picadilly".  Then, I used Nestabilities Grand Circles to finish the background for the image and Grand Scalloped Circles for the base card.

Mabelle RO: Snowball Boy

Happy Monday,

Mabelle re-released her Fall and Winter digis a few weeks ago.  This is Snowball Boy.  I fell in love with him last year, but it has taken me this long to use him.  I know it is only September, but after such hot summer and the cooler temps moving in now you can smell Fall in the air.  The snow will be flying soon enough here in Wisconsin.
This is a super simple card.  I found my DCWV Christmas Stack from several years ago and there was this wonderful snow fall background paper.  I used my Nestabilties Grand Circle die for the background and Grand Scalloped Circle die for the base card.

I colored him simply, then added some "sparkly fluff" for the snow on the ground and snowball.

Supplies --

PaperTrey Ink: Little Bitty Bird

Happy Sunday!

Today, I have another card I created for the homebound ministry.  This is September's card.  I used mostly PaperTrey Ink products for this months card.

The images are from PaperTrey Ink "Little Bitty Bird".  The cardstock is PTI White and Blueberry Sky.  The inks are also from PaperTrey - I'm really loving their line of inks.  They don't stain clear stamps and they give a really nice image!  So Happy!

The embossed foliage is a PTI impression plate called "Vineyard".
I stamped the branch in PTI Dk. Chocolate ink and colored in the leaves with a green colored pencil.  The bird is stamped in PTI True Black on the blue cardstock and then again on PTI Harvest Gold cardstock.  I made the stamped birds into a sticker by running it through my Xyron machine, then cut out the bird and a wing and paper pieced it onto the blue stamped scene, to create some layered dimension.

The window die is not PTI - it is from Poppy Stamps "Small Madison Window".  There is a large window too.  It is a really great die - it cuts and embosses the detail all in one time through the diecut machine.

Inside, I used a Clear Dollar Stamp.  I have the actual stamp, but it is available in a digi collection now - Value Verses 1.  Love this verse...

For I am persuaded
that neither death,
nor life, nor angels,
nor principalities,
nor powers,
nor things present,
nor things to come,
nor height,
nor depth,
nor any other creature,
shall be able to
separate us from the
love of God, which
is in Christ Jesus
our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39

Clear Dollar Stamps: God Is Love

Happy Saturday!

Today was a productive day - finally finished staining our house - we only started at the beginning of August. Uugh. It has been a long process and about 5 Saturdays of hard labor.  I'm just not use to that - LOL.

I had some time to make some cards this evening.  I actually stamped this image about a month ago.  It was August's homebound ministry card.  The image is from Clear Dollar Stamps "Peace for the Journey".  When I saw this set I knew it would be perfect for the homebound ministry.

This is really a simple card.  I used my watercolor crayons, which felt good considering I had not had them out in years.  I decided to experiment a little and filled my Ninja water brush with Potion #9.

At the last Angel Company Seminar {June 2011} one of the guest speakers was from Tsukineko and she shared all sorts if techniques using their products.  The advantage of Potion #9 over water is that it doesn't wrinkle the paper believe it or not.  I didn't need to use watercolor paper; I used PTI white cardstock.  I had been meaning to try this technique for over a year and finally did - it worked really well.

Inside, I used another Clear Dollar Stamp; I'm not sure it is still available though.
The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness
He will quiet you with His love
He will rejoice over you with singing.
Zephaniah 3:17

Supplies --
