this was livy in the waiting room. i think she was getting a little nervous as to what we were doing there.
she was fine once she saw all the toys. they had this huge toy room for the patients. it was a good thing because our surgery was delayed by over 2 hours.
i got to wear these beauties. i was able to carry miss livy into the operating room and hold her while they gave her the gas. after she started to fall asleep they took her from me and put her on the table. it was weird, scary and cool all at the same time. guess what i am going to be for halloween next year???
livy had to have her tonsils and adenoids out and also a tube put in. dr. beck said the surgery would only take 20 minutes. we got worried after 40 minutes had passed. after an hour the dr finally came out. she said they spent over 20 minutes pulling puss out of her lungs!!!!!!! the dr said she was so so so so sick. she said if we wouldn't have done this surgery something major would have happened this winter. something really bad!
here is the poor little liv after we got up to our room
we finally made it out of the chair and into the bed. she was NOT happy. lots of moaning, crying, and a sad little voice saying, "mommy, i not feel good."
we decided that she needed a change of scenery.we took her to a playroom that the hospital offers. we had to convince her to have fun.
she finally gave in
the next day she still wasn't doing super great so we had to stay through the afternoon.
once we were home she started to feel a lot better. she still wasn't very nice to anyone, but baby steps, right?
she has clung on to cinderelli like never before. it has barely left her hand in the last 4 days.
but look, she can smile. she goes through stages where she feels really crummy, then good, then bad again. very bi-polar right now.
poor little livy, i know you will be a thousand times better in a week or so. i just wish that would get here faster!!!!
