new family pictures

our new family photo
we got our pictures taken about a month ago by Jon Ball. he is in our ward and he did an amazing job. he just did the family ones. later on that week i took the kids individually and took the ones of them by themselves. wow, i have the cutest kids ever. instead of posting all the pictures just take a gander down my sidebar and see my favs. my absolute favorite is at the very top of this blog. that photo is the true "us".

p.s. ryan has posted on his blog. it has been over a year and a half since his last post. let's all show our support. you can go here to read it. trust me, it's a good one worth reading.

maggie has a tooth

not the best picture, but if you look real close you can see her one tooth. another one is starting to come. i totally win mother of the year award because i had no idea she had gotten a tooth. our pediatrician found it at her 6 month check up. just wanted to mark the occasion.

Livy's story

this was livy in the waiting room. i think she was getting a little nervous as to what we were doing there.
she was fine once she saw all the toys. they had this huge toy room for the patients. it was a good thing because our surgery was delayed by over 2 hours.
i got to wear these beauties. i was able to carry miss livy into the operating room and hold her while they gave her the gas. after she started to fall asleep they took her from me and put her on the table. it was weird, scary and cool all at the same time. guess what i am going to be for halloween next year???
livy had to have her tonsils and adenoids out and also a tube put in. dr. beck said the surgery would only take 20 minutes. we got worried after 40 minutes had passed. after an hour the dr finally came out. she said they spent over 20 minutes pulling puss out of her lungs!!!!!!! the dr said she was so so so so sick. she said if we wouldn't have done this surgery something major would have happened this winter. something really bad!

here is the poor little liv after we got up to our room
we finally made it out of the chair and into the bed. she was NOT happy. lots of moaning, crying, and a sad little voice saying, "mommy, i not feel good."
we decided that she needed a change of scenery.we took her to a playroom that the hospital offers. we had to convince her to have fun.
she finally gave in
the next day she still wasn't doing super great so we had to stay through the afternoon.
once we were home she started to feel a lot better. she still wasn't very nice to anyone, but baby steps, right?
she has clung on to cinderelli like never before. it has barely left her hand in the last 4 days.
but look, she can smile. she goes through stages where she feels really crummy, then good, then bad again. very bi-polar right now.
poor little livy, i know you will be a thousand times better in a week or so. i just wish that would get here faster!!!!

dive class

ali and charlie started a dive class twice a week. i think i might have already said that in a previous post. anyway, i took pictures the other night. the kids start out on the mats practicing their posture, balance and form

they get to go to the real dive board for the second half of the class. look what great form and great patriotism ali has.
charlie gets so serious when he is on the dive board
ali kinda giggles when it's her turn
they love to practice
just love how this one turned out
the next micheal phelps
such good form
maybe not as good as other times....
but hey, he's still smiling and that makes this mama happy
the kids are just loving this dive class. i hope it sticks because they could be really great. the advanced class meets next to them one of the days and it is so fun to watch them and to see how amazing they are at such a young age.

happy diving!!!!!

anyone hungry????

my friend, Kate, and i turned this:

today this kids had no school so we decided to go to the Y for a swim. we took along some fun playmates too!!!
ali & charlie started a dive class so they were all practicing together. they look synchronized. the girls have beautiful form and the boys look like frogs.
so much fun playing
love the color on this one

charlie likes to just chill
i loved this one of my miss ali
we had so much fun today with uncle toby and aunt sandra. thanks for playing with us.

p.s. we did take the other children, but i didn't take any pictures. i exercised first and while I was working out toby & sandra came and took the big kids to the pool. that is when i shot all these photos. the little ones were still in the child watch.

halloween post

our halloween started with a halloween party for charlie's class. we made oreo pops. eyeballs, mummies, and pumpkins.
maggie wanted one too!!!!
here is the plate of all the oreo pops
charlie and his teacher, mrs. holland have matching shirts.
here we have it, our traditional "lets all stand together in our costumes" picture.
maggie is the prettiest bee
my 2 princesses - grandma johnson made their costumes. so adorable, we loved them! thank you grandma!!!!!!
my 2 bumblebees
and buzz
livy's bucket was just sitting there upright before i put mags on the floor. she wiggled over to it, pulled it down and started pulling out all the candy, found the chocolate and dug in. this is SOOOOO my child!
love halloween, but love it more when it is over. now we need to get rid of all this candy.
