christmas morning at our house

our family time included leaving out our santa key.

 leaving some treats for both santa and his reindeer.  ali left santa a letter telling him that one carrot was him because she wants him to be healthy.

 this has been a normal face for pictures lately. it cracks me up.

 i made this sign for ryan. it says "when joseph went to bethlehem". he really loves that song, it is the only song about joseph. ryan hung it up in the garage by his tools because in the song it talks about how joseph took great care to put his tools away before he left to take mary.

 charlie got livy a new cinderelli doll

 i got me a new hat and gloves. love them!!!!!

 miss maggie is so beautiful!

 ryan got the shapes blocks that you used to play with in school form santa. everyone loves them so much.

 here are the kids trying out their new m&m plates, cups and bowls. their clothes that they happen to have on matched their color too.

 joan made ryan & i a "go broncos" sign. we also got blue & orange m&ms and matching bsu sweatshirts. it was awesome!!!!

 here is a better one showing their shirts. they all have an assigned color and they have their name printed on their shirts. one of the best presents ever!

we celebrated christmas eve with my family. here is our big family picture

 it was so great to have all my siblings together again.

maggie kept trying to attack macy. she was terrified of her.

 we made my mom a gratitude book. it had pictures and letter from us about how much we love her. she had no idea what she was getting herself into.

 there we go.

 we were so mean and we made her read it. it was a very emotional time for all of us. we don't all get together that often anymore but every other christmas. in the book we talked about how much we love and miss our past, but how excited we are about my mom's future (her and alvin). it turned out great.

we had such a wonderful christmas with the shaffer family. let's do it again, say in 2 years.

 the cast was getting restless, especially the happy shepherd

 since our christmas this year was spent with the shsffers grandma & grandpa came over to do presents in the morning on christmas eve.

 all the kids got something that goes with a remote. ali REALLY wanted a helicopter.

 maggie was very happy with her glowing stuffed animal

we seemed to have not taken any pictures of ryan & i went we opened our presents. ryan got lots of tools including a drill and a table saw. i got some great scentsy plug-ins for the bathroom, a cd and an apple peeler. together we were given a food dehydrator. we are really excited for that one.

thanks for a really great christmas grandma & papa head. we love you so much.
