Once again I'm late posting this - you can tell we're back to school because the sun has been shining all day and I'm making powerpoint presentations on reflexive verbs(!) instead of making cards. Anyway, LotV presented the challenge of dots and circles this week and because it looks more like summer now than it did when we were actually on holiday, I thought I'd use sunny yellows for my card.
The base was cut with my new Go Kreate circles dies (I love the size of the new Concentrics dies) and I cut slightly smaller circles for the inside and front using Pink Petticoat papers. The lovely stamp is, of course, Lili of the Valley and I've coloured it with my Promarkers and added stickles round her petticoat and skirt. The ribbon is American Crafts and the flowers and pearls are from the one and only Wild Orchid Crafts.
In my rush to get this photographed and posted before bed I had to resort to putting a glue dot behind the yellow open rose because it kept falling off (more haste, less speed, Tracey) and then when I uploaded the photos I realised that the angle I had taken the piccies at made it look like the wee girlie is sliding down the wall! I hope she's wearing padded knickers!
Night night!

Magnolia Stamp Lovers Challenge - Turquoise and Brown
This challenge was completely out of my comfort zone and I readily admit that I found this one really difficult. I settled on the image straight away as it's one of my favourites, but I struggled to find the right colours in my stash.
The ribbon is adorable but I've had it ages and can't remember where I got it. I loved it from the minute I saw it but it's been sitting in my ribbon box until now as I never make cards in these colours. Apart from Tilda and the ribbon, though, I was stuck.
Tilda is stamped with Memento ink onto Craftwork Cards white card and I've coloured her with Copics and Promarkers - I prefer Copics for skin tones but I love Promarkers for blending larger areas of colour. I softened the edges of the card and paper with distress inks after cutting out the shapes with my Nestie dies.
I eventually found the dark brown paper among the last couple of remaining sheets of a Basic Grey 6 x 6 pack. The bluey greeny paper is Bo Bunny from the Back to Basics range and this was the nearest colour I had to turquoise paper-wise. The "best friend" embellie is by KI Memories and the flowers are by Wild Orchid Crafts. Amazingly, I didn't have any turquoise flowers - I say amazingly because over the course of the summer holidays I think I've bought most of their online store! So I took some pale blue roses and went at them with my promarkers and there's no denying, they're turquoise now!
Take care,

Lili of the Valley Challenge - Bev's Sketch
Feeling a bit more organised now, although after today I may not be! School starts again this week so my crafting time is going to be limited again. It's a pity that the weather, for the second summer on the trot, has been a bit disappointing but once we get back to school it will be the countdown to Christmas! How's that for a scary thought!
So, on to today's card. Not an easel card, for a change! I really enjoyed working with Bev's sketch - it's only really been this summer that I've started to follow sketches more and I'm getting the sketch bug, I think.
I used Bazzill card for the base and last year's Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses papers. The image is one of the new Lili of the Valley Christmas stamps - in fact, I think this one is my favourite (and trust me, I've bought quite a few!). Again, I've coloured the image with my Prismas and added Glamour Dust for a bit of sparkle. The gems are Doodlebug and the ribbon is from my stash. I used my new Martha Stewart border punch on the card and my Nesties to cut out and mount the stamped image - and that's about it!.

Last Minute Dot Com! Lili of the Valley Challenge
Talk about rush! I've been without my beloved computer for a week as it had a virus and boy, did I miss it. Of course I had no way of knowing what the card making challenges would be, so I was delighted to see that Lili of the Valley's challenge was based on the four seasons. As I've been stamping away with their lovely new Christmas stamps (more out tomorrow, folks!) I've just managed to put this one together at the eleventh hour.
The papers are Basic Grey, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the punch is Martha Stewart (as seen in Dawny P's blog!) and the image of course is Lili of the Valley, coloured with Prismas. I've got 5 minutes to link this to the LotV Challenge Blog!

Lili of the Valley Challenge - Bev's Sketch
This card features one of the lovely new Lili of the Valley Christmas stamps which came out recently. Bev provided a brilliant sketch for this fortnight's challenge and I really enjoyed following it.
I used Magnolia papers and distressed the edges with my Tim Holz thingy. The border punch on the contrast paper is Martha Stewart loops and the stamped image has been coloured with Copics. The snow on the image is a mixture of Flowersoft Polar White and Glamour Dust. The poinsettias are from Wild Orchid Crafts (where else?!) and the candies are from Craftword Cards. I didn't have candies in the right colour as mine were too pink for the paper, so I coloured them with Promarkers which gave a really good match. I went a bit overboard with the snow and wish I hadn't, but I won't do it again!
Take care,
Tracey x
