Yellow Roses Sympathy Card

This was a difficult (emotionally) card to make, one for my Uncle who lost his wife of 50+ years.
She was one of my favorites, such a sweet lady, and always loved my hand made cards.

I only recently found out that yellow was her favorite color. She called to thank me for
the birthday card I sent her and mentioned that yellow was her favorite color.

Knowing that she liked flowers, I decided to make this card for my Uncle. It's pretty "froofy" for a car guy. I was originally going to make a card with a cardinal on it so it might be a bit more masculine for him. I changed my mind in the end because I know she would have loved this card had it been given to her.

Supplies:
Rubber stamp images, DD Cottage Rose by Stampin' Up!

Floral embossing folder background, We R Memory Keepers

A few sequins leftover from my beaded felt ornaments were attached here and there with clear tacky glue

Sentiment was found by searching down an image I saw online. It came from jamieandjenn.com

Card stocks, inks, scallop edge border punch and dimensionals from Stampin' Up!

This is a 6" x 6" card

I'm entering my card in the following challenge:
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes Dec 11th
