ODBD May Challenge at OWH - embossing

May Our Daily Bread Design Challenge at Operation Write Home:
embossing ! It can be dry embossing, heat embossing or both !

I did both on my card (which was actually already created for the sketch challenge last week but never posted!). I'll use the two cards I created as Any Hero cards.

I ran a 4" by 5 1/2" piece of red card stock as well as the same sized piece of blue card stock through embossing folders. I used a stripes embossing folder on the red and stars embossing folder on the blue.

I carefully laid them on top of each other with the edges aligned then trimmed out a portion diagonally from the middle, point to point. These create the two corner pieces that I mounted on my white card base - after I heat embossed silver embossing powder over the "thank you" image from Stampin' Up! that was stamped with Versamark ink.

I adhered the diagonal trimmed pieces inside the cards.
