Another Easel card

Thank you for all those who have sent me well wishes and healing cyber hugs. I am feeling a bit better today and have now got the right balance of painkillers which are keeping me comfortable.

My daughter Safiyyah will be 7 on the 27th June and is absolutely horse MAD!! She goes riding every week at a local stables and would love nothing more than her own pony - the chances of her getting one are not likely!!! This Mo Manning image of Shire with her horse is just perfect for my daughter as the little girl in the image looks just like her - pony tail and all!

I coloured the image in using Promarkers. Papers are Basic Grey Lemonade and I dry embossed some Core-dinations cardstock. Yellow ribbon and blue lace from stash. Paper flower was made using a punch and the large blue netting flower is Prima - Madrigal Blossom in Nocturne which are available at Creative Craft World.

I am entering the card into the following challenges:
Digital Tuesday - Easel card
Mo's Digital Pencil - Dry embossing
The Pixie Cottage - Sketch
Cooking it up with Katie - Recipe ingredients = Use some Green
Add some Embossing and include a little ribbon!
Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Nice and girly
Mark's Finest Papers - Embossing

Creative Craft World DT easel card

Gosh it is that time again, where is the time flying to?

I have made this easel card for the challenge over at Creative Craft World and this challenge is to make.... yep you guessed it, an easel card. Just in case you have never made one before I have put a step by step tutorial over on the challenge blog and I have also put it on the tutorial page.

Before posting the tutorial my 6 year old daughter tested it out and here is what she made, I think you will agree it is FAB!!! I am so proud, well done Safiyyah Rose!! Obviously if she managed to make this (with very little help from me as she is stubborn and would only let me unjam the Martha Stewart punch, can't think where she gets her stubborn streak from) then it should be easy to follow!

The image is "Ole Grey Mare" Digi Stamp from Stitchy Bear Stamps and with its little plasters is FAB for a get well card, I coloured the image with promarkers. Papers are Basic Grey “Lemonade” and I made the little "flags" using scraps - one of the flags is a bit wonky on this picture but I have sorted it out on the card LOL!

I followed Amanda's' sketch over at Allsorts and got the inspiration from the Basic Grey challenge which this week is a photo inspiration.
