New Release and Hop with Sassy Studio Designs!

Hello!  If you’ve been hopping along you will have come here from Lindsay’s blog.  If not, you’ll want to start at the beginning at Sassy Studio Designs.  There are trivia questions at all of the stops, so you’ll want to visit and comment on them all for a chance to win one of these fabulous new images!  Plus, you really don’t want to miss out on the gorgeous projects from the DT!(they’re so very talented!)

Here’s the card I made using the new Frankenstein image…

I tried to color him to look like a black and white movie.  I used foam tape to pop him off the page a bit.  Paper is from DCWV and Martha Stewart.  The printed words are actually the concluding words from the novel Frankenstein.

Now for my trivia question:  How old was Mary Shelley when she began writing Frankenstein?

Here’s the hop order just in case you need it…

(Yes, I know the spider is stamped wonky.  I had some stability issues when I stamped it.)

Card deets:  Paper from DCWV, Echo Park, Martha Stewart.  Spider stamp from Inkadinkado, gothic girl image from Torico, gothic sentiment from Meljens.  Paper frame from Creative Memories.

I would like to submit this card for the following challenges…

Forever Night’s Freaky Friday #6 – Too Cute to Spook

HDH104 – I was Framed (I hope this isn’t too cutesy for this challenge…I’ve heard Barb kicks the Minions if the entries are too cute)

The Corrosive Challenge #131 – Come to the Dark Side

And yes, I did color her hair to be similar to the Amazing Alison.;)

Thanks for looking!

Forever Night Challenge

I stumbled across the Forever Night Challenges blog a few days ago and I was definitely intrigued.  Then I saw what the current challenge was and I decided I had to play along.:)  The current challenge is Mystical Women, you have to create a project with a mythical or magical woman in it.  I chose to use an oceanid or water nymph.  I decided that in this project she would be the famous Calypso.(the card shows her name in Greek)

I know it’s probably not as “dark” of a project as they were hoping to elicit, but she does fit the mythical category.:)  And I was dying to use this Water Nymph stamp I just bought.  I’ve been having fun with the mosaic stickers lately, too.

Hope you like my project, thanks for looking!
