Special xmas cards

Hi everyone, hope you all had a lovely Christmas and are on the road to recovery!!  Today I'm going to post pics of the cards I made for the special people in my life. Couldn't post these before xmas as one of them was only finished on xmas eve!!!
This one was made for my daughter with a Molly Bloom stamp which I coloured with Promarkers. I mat and layered papers (which I think are from a Fizzy Moon paper pack) and added stickles around the edges. I finished off with flowers from Wild Orchid and a greeting from Lily of the Valley.
This next card is for my son. The image is from Teddy Bo and again it was coloured with Promarkers. To add a little sparkle I covered the image with double sided sticky paper and added Glamour Dust. Again it was mat and layered onto fancy papers, stickled around the edges and then I finished off with some Organza ribbon, coloured with Promarkers, a greeting and a little silver hanging snowflake.
This card was for my darling mum and dad. The image is from Gayle Bond and can be found on the Scrapbook Sisters website. Again I coloured it with Promarkers but chose to black out the male image. I added some Glamour Dust to the dress and then mat and layered and finished off with stickles around the edge and the greeting.
This card was made for my boyfriend using a picture taken when we had a Christmas visit to London to see the lights and we visited Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park. I used a holly wreath image from Meljen's Designs and coloured with Promarkers. I then layered it over the image and mounted with 3d pads, finishing off with a greeting.
The last card today was one I made for my daughter from her brother. The image is from Digital Doodling and once coloured I glittered the wings with Glamour Dust. I also used Glamour Dust around the edge of the picture rather than stickles and the effect is still amazing. This is the first time I have printed an image with the greeting around it, after a bit of practice I'm sure it will get easier and the sizing will be better. Turned out ok in the end though I think!! I finished off with the snowflakes which were diecut on the Cuttlebug and added some glitter to give them some sparkle.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my special cards and please visit again to see what I will be doing next. I have lots of new craft goodies to play with and will be getting to work with them very soon.

Happy New Year to you all.

Kenny K for twins!!

Hi all, just a quick post im afraid tonight as I've been working a long 13hr day today and have just realised that I didnt do the 'tomoro' post as I said the other day!!!
I have 2 cards for you today that I did for a friend's twin boys. I always try to do something different for them as they are both individuals. This first card is made using an image from Kenny K. The alphabet is the Olivia on the Cuttlebug and I mixed upper and lower case for a change. The backing paper is from my stash and it was edged in orange stickles once mat and layered.
The second card is using another Kenny K image, the same alphabet dies and paper from my stash. This time red stickles were used to outline.
When both cards are stood together this is the result!!! Both boys were impressed and pleased with these thank goodness lol.
Please feel free to leave any comments, I do read them all.
Happy crafting

Fizzy Moon Birthday

Hi all, as promised I am showing the card I made for my nan's 97th Birthday yesterday. Im hoping that I scheduled this properly to post as I will be going to London with Sophie & Connor for the day to see the Christmas lights and displays and have a look round Covent Garden. My wonderful boyfriend and his sons will also be with us so it should be a very nice day out.
The image I have used is Fizzy Moon bear. I think the backing papers are also from a Fizzy Moon pack. I mat and layered the image onto the centre of the backing paper and then finished off with flowers and brads from my stash, lilac card candy and then used letters and numbers from the Olivia set on the Cuttlebug. As usual I've added some 'bling' with pink stickles!
I hope you like this and come back again tomoro to see my next creation. Tomorrow? you say, yes, I have plenty more to show so may do this regularly for a change!!!

Martini Girl digi and candle

Good morning everyone, hope you are well.
Today is a day of celebrating birthdays. Firstly it is my darling Nan's 97th Birthday (card to be posted here tomorrow) and it is also my dear friend Katie's birthday. The card I am going to show today is Katie's. I have also done a candle with a design to match the card.
The Girl in Martini Glass digi is from Sassy Studio. I coloured this with Promarkers. The backing papers are from the Docrafts Tatty Teddy set. I mat and layered the papers and then edged in pink Stickles. I finished off by adding 'Special Friend' which I cut out using the Olivia letters on the Cuttlebug. These were glittered also.
For the candle I used the same digi image and a greeting and printed these onto white tissue paper. I then coloured (very carefully!) with my Promarkers. I then added it to the candle in the usual way and finished off with some organza ribbon which I coloured to match and a few little gems. I then placed it into a clear bag and tied with ribbon as this is for decoration only.

I hope you like these 2 items and please come back tomorrow to see the card I made for my nan.

Ruby Anniversary with doily die

Hello everyone, happy Thursday!!
Today's card is one I made for a friend's Ruby Anniversary. The doily die heart was kindly lent to me by my dear friend Eileen. Please take a look here at a card Eileen has made for Christmas using this die. She also has a wedding card on her blog using it. Her blog is lovely so please visit her.
The backing picture and topper came from Making Cards Special Occasion edition. I matted these onto red card, coloured some organza ribbon for the edge and finished off with a greeting on the computer.
Please come back tomorrow as I do have another card to post. I know its strange but there will definitely be another one to view!!!!!
Happy crafting.

Tealight Card

Hi all, Im back!!!!!!
Sorry its been so long but lots to do and lots I cant post until they've been given. Hopefully will now have chance to publish them all. The first card is one that I saw on this site here. I made it for my good friend Tina on her birthday and she was delighted with it.
The image is from Lily of the Valley and coloured with Promarkers. The papers are from Docrafts Tatty Teddy range. I finished off with some flowers from my stash with a brad and some gems. The card is tied together at the side with some organza ribbon which I again coloured with Promarkers.
This is the inside of the card and has a tag on the left hand side which I finished off with a greeting. I needed to make a box for this also and for once I managed to do it right the first time!!

I hope you like this long awaited post and come back soon for the next one. I have a few ready and waiting!!

Thinking of you card

Hi all, hope you are well.
Thought I better post one of my latest cards again as its been a while and I was so pleased how this card turned out. This is another idea I pinched from Julie's Crafty Creations. She makes some wonderful cards, please take a look. Her link is on my last blog entry.
This card I made for a competition at our monthly Allhallows Crop. The category was a thinking of you card with flowers in a vase.
I coloured the image using Promarkers and I also coloured the organza ribbon. I added some glitter on the tulips to give them an extra sparkle and finished off with some gems and a greeting.
I hope you like this creation with a difference. I will be trying it again with some Christmas cards I hope.
See you soon, happy crafting

Quad Easel Card for 70th Birthday

Hello everyone, hope you are well.  Today I have a different card to show you which I made following inspiration from Julie's Crafty Creations. Please pop over and take a look at Julie's blog as she has lots of lovely and different cards.

Looking down onto the card. When assembled all sides hold each other up!
I made this card for my darling dad on his 70th Birthday yesterday. The card and papers were out of my stash, unfortunately I cant remember the make of the papers. I printed the photos and then mounted, finishing off with card candy. I added the computer generated text and then added gems as a final touch. Its a bit of a puzzle to put up when complete but when its all in place its great.
Thanks for taking a look today, hopefully I will be back soon with another different card.

Birthday Girl

Well a big hello to you all and sorry it has been sooooo long. I havent been making that many cards lately to be able to blog regularly which is a real shame as I do miss it. I have noticed that I'm still getting lots of viewings and have now hit 3000!!!
Well back to a card or two! Yesterday it was my darling daughter's 15th birthday. This card I made using backing papers from a magazine, flowers from Wild Orchid, clear gems, Tokyo Girl digi image, stickles and numbers from Dimension Fourth.
This next card I made using a digi image of a chocolate bar from Meljen's Designs. Sophie is partial to a bit of chocolate every now and then!! The backing papers were again from a magazine but cant remember which one. I used chipboard letters for SISTER and coloured these with Promarkers. I finished off with pearls.
I'm hoping Sophie had a lovely birthday although we will be celebrating in 2 wks time when I take her and a friend to Adventure Island in Southend so they can go on lots of frightening rides!!! I will be quite happy to stand and watch lol.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read this. I wont leave it as long next time as now its time to start making Christmas cards!!! lol
Bye for now,

Birthday Boy

Hi all, sorry for such a long delay in getting back here but its been a bit hectic this week. It was my son Connor's 10th birthday last Monday (2nd) and he received some lovely handmade cards which he really does enjoy looking at. They have pride of place on the mantelpiece and all other cards are moved to the windowsill!!

These cards were made by my crafty mum! I think she has done a really wonderful job and receiving these personalised cards really makes Connor happy as they are made with things that he enjoys in mind.
Sorry for the delay in posting this but when I tried to post at the weekend I was unable to load pictures on here. It just kept churning away and didnt do anything. Ive now got a few days off work again so hopefully will get posting some more cards for you to see.
Happy crafting to you all, please visit again soon

Post-It Easel

Hello everyone, hope you have all had a lovely Sunday. It has been nice and sunny here again. Today I took my son, Connor, and daughter, Sophie, to our local ski centre to go tobogganing as it will be Connor's 10th birthday tomorrow. They had a lovely time but unfortunately did not get chance to go on the Sno-Tubes as it was closed to individuals and only open for parties. Afterwards we went for a lovely dinner at the Harvester and then had a cuppa with some great friends. Connor is now tucked up in bed waiting eagerly for his birthday to arrive!!!! lol
Well today's creation is something slightly different again. It is an easel card with a post-it holder. This one is quite small but I have adapted the pattern to the size of a 15cm square card and am in the process of completing this, so once done will post here.
I used backing papers from Dovecraft, white card which I embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots, flowers from my stash (the darker ones were coloured with Promarkers to blend in), brads and Stickles around the edges. I also edged the box in the backing paper. The size of the Post-Its is 3"x3" so that might give you an idea on the overall finished size.
A side view. When it lays flat over the Post-Its there is a 1cm spine so that it lays flat and isn't pulled out of shape.
I hope you like this, please leave any comments.
Please visit again soon, bye for now x

Young love

I was asked to make this card by my friend for her fiance. She wasnt sure what she wanted on it then decided to have a pic of them both. As usual I used Bazzill card which I love and backing papers from Summer Driggs. The corner embellishments were cut out on the Cuttlebug and the greeting was done on the computer and glittered around once mat and layered.
Thanks for stopping by today and looking. Although my posts are only short I have managed to be here 3 days running!! At least Im not boring you with long detailed posts!!!
Please come back soon x

....to watch the wedding with my son today so am posting this early! My daughter isnt the slightest bit interested in seeing it but my son and I will be glued to the tv watching it all, after all its not every year there is a royal wedding this spectacular!!
Todays card is a digi image which I coloured with Promarkers. Backing papers are from Summer Driggs, computer generated name and age and card candy from Craftwork Cards. I chalked the background of the image in pale blue also.
Not a lot else to write about this card I'm afraid, I just love the car image!
Please visit again soon.
I hope you all enjoy watching the wedding if you are, and happy crafting to those of you that arn't and will spend your day in the craft room!!!

Its now come to an end!!!!

Hi all, hope you are well.
Well as you can see the challenge I set myself has come to an end. I lasted 51 days of continuous blogging but this week it has gone to pot!!! I wont say now that I will blog every day but I will try my best to make it every other day in future, providing the crafting continues at a regular pace!
Well today's card has been made as an engagement book. I used Bazzill card in a gorgeous cerise pink and the papers are again from Summer Driggs. After assembling the book and adding the backing papers I glittered with Black Diamond Stickles around the edges. I mat and layered all the pics that were needed and after adding these I finished off with some card candy on the inside pages and some prima flowers and a brad on the front page. I added a ribbon under the Bazzill card so that the book could be held together.
To finish off I made a nice sturdy box to put it in as it was too thick for an envelope!
Please leave any comments as I read them all.
Thanks for stopping by x

Happy Easter....

...to you all. I hope you have had a lovely day and not eaten too many chocs!! I'm also hoping that your eggs looked a bit better than this one which my son received. This was how it was when it came out the box before he even started to break it up!!
Well onto what I have been making today. I have had a very productive day. I have finished 2 birthday cards which are for Wednesday so Im unable to show until then, I've made an Engagement celebration book with a box and I have also made another one of these lovely stepper boxes.  This one I made for my son as a little extra something for Easter.
After making the box I decorated with a Hanglar image of a boy with a skateboard which I coloured with Promarkers to match the backing papers. I then filled the boxes inside with some mini eggs.
An inside view of the box
I added a football embellishment to the top as I thought my son would prefer that to flowers!!! lol

Thank you for stopping by on another lovely day.
