Be Yourself - )Floppy Latte - OSAAT

(aka Challenge 124)

Hi there all you lovely people!  It is Sunday, which means that beginning of another challenge at One Stitch at a Time Challenges.  Our theme is 'Use a Digi' - so other than that, the doors are wide open for your own creativitiy to run free!

This week's sponsor is

and that image I got to work with is Funky Floral VI by Floppy Latte Designs.  I thought I would have a play with the image in Craft Artist Professional to see what I could come up with....and this is it!

I used the image once as line art and converted it from black to white, enlarged it, and added it to the background.  Then I printed the image as black line art (as it would be out of the tin so to speak). The image made me think of peacock feathers a bit, so I went with the purple and teal color scheme with pink accents - using Flex Markers for the coloring of course.  The only non digital element is the flower next to the sentiment and the coloring of the smaller image.  I think the overall effect turned out very nice - I hope you agree.

I am going to keep this short and sweet, as I forgot to schedule my blog post ahead of time and am now running late!

Do be sure to visit the main blog, and if the mood strikes you, show the other design team members some love!  Their creations are beautiful!  Also, link up your own digi image projects for a chance to win a set of digi stamps(if you use a Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps image in your project) or to win $3 to spend in the Stitchy Bear shop if you use a non SBDS image.

I would like to enter this creation in the following challenges:
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #196 - Bright and Cheerful
Crafts and Me Challenges - Anything Goes
Operation Write Home Midweek Throwdown - Encouraging Challenge
ATCs and Cards with Attitude - Anything Goes
Simply Create Too - Use it Two Times (at least)

Right, the longer I ramble, the later this post gets, so I will shush and post this now.

Take care and I hope to see you back soon!

Crafty Boots - Babies

Hello everyone.  It is time for another fun challenge over at Crafty Boots Challenges.  This time, the theme is 'Babies'.

I have been doing a lot more of my card elements digitally lately.... ever since I started using Craft Artist Professional to draw my own digi stamps.  It was a world I had never really explored or embraced other than the odd card or background etc.  Anyway, as I am becoming more familiar with the software, I am able to achieve the effects I want for my cards.  At the end of the day, I will never give up my 'dimensional' crafting.  I am way to addicted to papers and embellishments!  I do see myself incorporating more digital elements however, if for no other reason than everything can be customized just the way I want it.

Enough blathering .... here is my card.

and here is the inside...

I used CAP to design and layer the card front and inside.  The cute little carriage is a free digi stamp from Broken Box Stock.  I used the CAP software to size them so I could have a bigger one on the card front and a little bitty one on the inside.  Both carriages are colored with Flex Markers.  I added the little yellow flower on the front and really that is all I had to do.  I have gotten much braver with putting digi stamps directly into designed card fronts etc.  On this card I could have easily printed the carriage on the front separately and attached it as a topper, but I thought - why use an extra sheet of my Crafty Boots Deluxe Crafter's Card.  I love this card for coloring, and it is also lovely for printing with my inkjet printer.  The colors really are true, and that is really important to me.

Okee dokee.... that is really all I have for today other than to ask you to consider popping over to the main blog to see the beautiful work from the rest of the design team and to link up you baby themed projects for a chance to win a prize.  Might as well go for it, right?

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:

The Paper Shelter - Anything Goes
My Heart Pieces - Anything Goes
The Squirrel and the Fox - Kids or Babies

Thanks for looking and do please leave a comment if you like what I have done.

Take care and I hope you can visit again soon.

Space Judes Blog Hop - Simply Betty Stamps

My name is Denise, and I have a Simply Betty Stamps addiction!  If you have not checked out the wonderful stamps, take a cyber trip over to her web shop here.  There are some really lovely digi stamps, but also a full line of rubber and clear stamps.  You can now even commission a custom 'headshot' digi.  Believe it or not, I am in no way affiliated with Simply B Stamps, so all this gushing is actually coming from a place of love.

Anyway, to celebrate the release of a new line of digi stamps, which are for sale for a limited release, Betty's facebook group is having another Blog Hop.  The hopping starts at the Simply Betty Stamps Blog, so if you just happened here as one of my followers, or a new visitor, you might want to pop over to the main blog to hop along from beginning to end.

If you are following the hop, you should have come here from Olivia's blog.

Anyway, here is my creation.

I used two of the new Judes digital stamps, Outta this World Ali and Battle Galactica Lilly from the Space Judes set which you can see here.  I merged them in Craft Artist Professional software.  They are colored with Flex Markers.  I cut out some glitter and holographic card and paper using Nestabilites and Grand Nestabilities dies, put the lovely space ladies on top and viola!

I was really pleased with the final result, and I can't wait to work with the other Space Judes!

Right, this is a blog hop, so your next stop is Michelle's blog.  As the hop is not live yet, I have not seen the other people's creations, but I can't wait.  These digis are a joy to work with and I love getting ideas for different ways to use them!

It has been a busy blog week for me, so if you haven't caught up with me for a while, check out the current challenges of the blogs I design for including Crafty Boots Challenges, Just Inspirational Challenges, and the newest addition, One Stitch at a Time.  All three have fun challenges going and some great prizes...so definitely worth throwing your hat in.

Take care and thanks for stopping by.

OSAAT - Summer Breeze

Hello everyone.  This is my first post as a participating design team member for the team at One Stitch at a Time.

The theme for the challenge is Anything Goes and it is being sponsored by Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps - and the image I got to work with is 'Window' by Priyanka.

Here is my design team card....

The image is colored with Flex Markers.  I cut out the image, including the fencing, the lattice work and the birds.  The image is mounted on a card from a Hunkydory kit.  I repositioned the birds in the image around the birdhouse on the backing paper.  It is difficult to see in the picture, but the fence is mounted on foam so it is sticking out a bit.  I added some Dazzlers flowers for a bit of bling and dimension, and a bit of vintage ribbon on the edge to balance the whole thing out (and also because the flower pattern on the paper does not continue on that edge as the original was A4).

Please do pop over to the main blog to see the work from the rest of the design team.  Don't forget that it is an Anything Goes Challenge, so it should be easy to come up with a project to link up!  I can't wait to see all your lovely creations.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges as well:
Paper Crafting Journey - Summer
Digi Doodle Shop Challenges - Summertime
The Poodles Parlour - Use a Digi Stamp
Cardmadfairy's Digi Days Challenge - Summertime
Pattie's Creations Design Challenge - Summertime and must use a digi or image
Digi Designs Challenge Blog - Pile on the Flowers
Everybody Art Challenge - Summer
Jackson's Digital Expressions - Anything Goes and optional color inspiration
Incy Wincy Designs - Summertime
Stamp and Fun = Creativity - Summer

Thanks so much for looking, and please leave a comment if the mood strikes you.  I'd love to know what you think!

Take care and I hope you can visit again soon.

JIC Challenge - Two for the price of one!

Hello everyone!  Due to a happy accident, this week's challenge at Just Inspriational Challenges has two wonderful sponsors....

and here is your inspirational photo.....

Here are my contributions for your considerations :)
This card was made using a variety of digikit elements, most of which were from a kit by Scrapper's Delights.  The digi stamp is also from Scrappers Delights.  I made the layout using CAP, and inserted the digistamp in line art form for coloring with Flex Markers after printing.  The only non-digital aspect besides the coloring is the striped backing card, which is from a Hunkydory set offered as the free members gift at C&C.  It went perfectly with the challenge colors and my layout.  It is nice when things work out that way.

This card layout was also done in CAP.  The only non digital element is the coloring of the Stamp n doodle image, which was again done with Flex Markers.

I have to say I am becoming quite addicted to using Craft Artist Professional for my card making.  I tend to think of things that might look good 'after the fact', so doing the layout digitally allows me to put a ribbon underneath a layer that on a normal card I might have already glued down..lol.  Saying that, I did consider a ribbon under the image layer on my first card, but I had already glued the striped card down..... so I still have work to do with my planning!

Please stop by the main challenge blog to see what the rest of the design team have created and to link up your own wonderful projects!  We also have a facebook group if you want to join in there.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you can visit again soon.

Betty's 3 Blog Hop

Hello lovely people!  I am very happy to be taking part in a special blog hop.  A bunch of fans of Simply Betty Stamps were lucky enough to get a hold of a pre-release set of the Betty's 3 digi stamps.  They are Movie themed and you can get them here for a limited time.  They will only be digis until they go into production as clear stamps I believe.

You should have come here from Leslie's Blog.   If you just happened here by chance and want to complete the full blog hop, it starts at the Simply Betty Stamps Blog.  There are some very talented folks and some adorable Bettys 3 along the way, so it is well worth the time to hop through.

Anyway, the pre-release set had six in the series, but as there are only so many hours in a day, and so much cooperation from my back, I only managed to color and card up these two adorable Bettys...

As you might have guessed, the first Betty is Lord of the Rings themed.  I colored the image with Flex Markers and used Papermania metallic markers for the headpiece and the belt buckle.  For the insert, I took the sentiment, which is also a Simply B Stamps design, and gave it a textured metal appearance in Craft Artist Professional.  It doesn't come out very well in the pic unfortunately.  The swirl paper is from Hunkydory, and the other papers are just random bits from my stash.  The circles are all cut out using Grand Nestabilities dies and the border is punched with a edge puncher.

Next, please say hello to Sherlock Holmes Betty.

Again, Betty Holmes is colored with Flex Markers.  I used bits of card and ribbon from my stash.  The black card just under the image has flecks of gold in it which you can just make out in the photo.  I added the gold corner flourish stickers to pick the shiny gold up a bit.

I've not finished the inside of this one yet, but as I have company, and the hop is starting in two hours I will have to leave it there.  I can assure you it is going to be lovely.  Actually, I really can, because the sentiment is another by Simply B Stamps!

Well, as this is a blog hop, you should get hopping....(but I would of course love for you to leave a comment before you go).  The next stop on your hopping tour is Teresa so stop by to see her Bettys 3 creation(s) and let her know what you think.

Take care and thank you so much for visiting.  Please come back soon if you can :)

Use it Up #4 - Sugar and Spice Chef

I just wanted to share the next card in my 'Use it Up' series.  Before I had my back surgery I made a goal for myself to use up the bits in my scraps box.  After making 4 cards already, I don't think this is going to happen anytime soon, but I can at least say that more is coming out of it than going in!

Here is the card...

You might recognize this little chef from the Simply B Stamps range.  She is colored in flex markers as is my usual.  The photo doesn't show it well, but the backing paper or background layer is a light green marble.  This didn't come out of my scraps box, but it did come from a pack of Glitter Girls paper that I have had over a year.  I used some smaller scraps to make the woven panel and some larger scraps for the yellow matted polka dot layer panels.

Lastly, the sentiment came from the Crafter's Companion 'Little Treasures' embellishment set, which I have also had for over a year.

I am quite pleased with the way it turned out.  I find it a fun challenge to look at the scraps and try to come up with ways to use them.   It gives me the excuse to try combinations and layouts that I might not otherwise.

Anyway, I shall leave it here for now.  I hope you like the card.  by the way, don't forget to check out the current challenges at Just Inspirational Challenges and Crafty Boots Challenges.  It is so lovely to see what you all come up with.

Take care and I hope you can come back to visit soon.

Just Inspirational Challenges - Crosseyed Butterfly

Oh dear, I have just now realised, that although I got my design team card in to be posted in the challenge blog, I completely forgot to do a post in my own blog for the challenge and my card.  Actually, I thought I had done one, and distinctly remembered doing links to the sponsor etc., but maybe I dreamt that.  Anyway, better late than never.....

This week the challenge at Just Inspirational Challenges is being sponsored by Squigglefly.

Squigglefly.com Digital Stamps
Check them out for a wide range of digital stamps by a variety of wonderful artists.  I was happy to find one of my favorite artists, Cheryl Alger, among them.

I used the adorable Crosseyed Butterfly image and colored it with Flex Markers.  The card layout was done in Craft Artist Professional.  I added some punched butterflies and thought that was all it needed.

The inspirational photo for this challenge is....

You can probably see that I chose to use the colors, but you can take whatever elements you like to draw inspiration for your project!  There is plenty more inspiration from the rest of the design team over on the main blog as well.  Do pop over to check them out, and of course to link up your own projects.

Right, well that's my 20 minutes done, so must take a break from the computer.

Take care and thank you so much for looking.

Just Because

Well, I seem to be on a roll with making cards thanks to Craft Artist Professional.  It is so much fun to work with and it is quick and easy to design what I hope are lovely cards.

This card mainly uses elements from the Melon School Digikit.  I love the color scheme - green and pink look so nice together!

Anyway, here is my card:

I inserted this adorable Simply B Stamps digi image into the project, and added her 'painting' using the CAP software as well.  The rest of the digi image is colored with flex markers.

Well, I must keep this short, so I will say goodbye for now.

Thank you so much for looking and I do hope you like my project.  Please visit again soon!

Take care,
xx Denise

Anything You Can Do - Crafty Boots Sport Challenge

AKA - Use it Up Challenge  #3

Good Monday Morning everyone out there in crafty blog land.  A fortnight has passed since the last challenge over at Crafty Boots Challenges so it is time for another one!  The theme this time was chosen by our lovely DT member Zoe, and she wants to see your sports themed projects.   There is lots of inspiration over on the main blog from the other design team members, but I hope you also get some inspiration from mine.

I decided to use this great digi from Simply B Stamps.  I am addicted to her images and thought this one would fit in perfectly!  She is colored with Flex Markers.  All the papers used on the project were from my 'cut offs' box so this card also makes #3 in my personal 'Use it Up' Challenge!

The sentiment and the green dots came from the Crafter's Companion 'Life's Little Treasures' embellishment set.  I love the sentiment, and thought it went well with the sport theme.... you know how boys always think they are better at sports..lol!

Anyway, please visit the main challenge blog to link up your own creations and to check out the work from the rest of the design team.  If you have time, also pop over to the Crafty Boots Shop to check out all the great stuff they have, including digital stamps and papers!  The shop sells my own Daffy's Digis - only at Crafty Boots, as well as digis by our talented Zoe - aka- Crafty Gashead Digital Designs.  In fact, her new Sporty Boots Digi is making her debut in this challenge on the main blog.

Thank you so much for looking, and if the mood strikes you I would love to know what you think of my creation.

Take care and I do hope you visit again soon.

Some Odd Girl - Thanks a Whole Bunch

This is going to be a very sweet and simple post as I am only allowed to sit up 20 minutes at a time while recovering from my back surgery - which went reasonably well luckily.  Two weeks out and I am feeling much better, but I still have a long way to go.

I wanted to make a Thank You Card for the lovely Nurses at Sarum Road BMI Hospital in Winchester who took phenomenal care of me before and after my surgery.  I thought I would go ahead and do it now after seeing the current sketch challenge at Emma's Cards UK.  Also, I have just started doing a bit more than drawing digi stamps with Serif Craft Artist Pro, so I thought this card would be a good chance to have a quick play with some of the digi kits.

Anyway, without further ado, here is the card.....

I used CAP for pretty much the entire card other than the paper flower and the 'dew drop' embellishments.  The image is from Some Odd Girl, and she is colored with Flex Markers.  I was brave and printed her uncolored directly on the designed card, so good thing I didn't mess up.

Although I am just finding my way around the software, I certainly can see the potential for hours and hours of crafty fun with Craft Artist Professional.  I will just have to be patient and try not to forget about the Dr's orders to only sit for a max of 20 minutes while I am playing!

As you might have guessed, I would like to enter this card in the current Sketch Challenge at Emmas Cards UK.

I hope the nurses like it.  I will be giving it to them when I next see the doctor.  Hopefully I will be up to doing a little baking by that time so the card can be accompanied by some cupcakes.  I really am so thankful and impressed with their hard work and dedication.  I definitely would not want to trade with them.

Ok, well my 20 minutes is just about up, so I shall post this and link up to the challenge at Emmas cards.  I hope you like the card, and would love your comments.

Thanks for looking, and I would love it if you could come back soon.

Take care today and always,
Denise xx

Organza Tizzy Dreams

Happy Monday everyone.  I am writing this post way ahead of time, because by the time this challenge goes live, I will hopefully be recovering nicely from my back surgery!

For this fortnight, Crafty Boots Challenges would like to see your projects using MATERIAL.

Here is mine...

Side view for beter view of candi and insert
The digital image is from the Tumble Ted and Tizzy CD, available at Cupcake Crafting.  I colored her using Flex Markers and used a white detail pen to accent her pearls. I used a lovely floral pattern paper, matted with dark purple paper and put them on an 'On the Edge' Card blank from Crafty Boots..  I can't remember where I got the paper floral from, so apologies for the missing 'shout out'.  I wrapped some organza around the square card layers, leaving it loose so I could bunch it up and tie it with a purple organza bow.

I used the same floral patterned paper on the card insert with a square of white paper in the middle, matted with purple, for the sender to write on.

I thought it needed a little something more, so I added some white and pale blue card candi, which I also got from the Crafty Boots Shop.

I seem to be going through a purple phase, which is odd because my favorite color is green!  Anyway.  I hope you like the card and I hope you will pop over to the Crafty Boots Challenges blog to check out the creations from the rest of the design team and link up your entries!  I can't wait to see what you all come up with!

I would also like to enter this card into the challenge at: Forever Friends Fortnightly Challenge - Anything Goes & Take care and I hope you can visit again soon.

xx Denise

'Owl' Be Seeing You

Just Inspirational Challenges
Hello again.  It is Thursday, which means there is a new challenge starting at Just Inspirational Challenges.  This time our sponsor is Doodle Pantry.  These are the photos our DT have chosen to inspire the challenge.  You can use elements from one or both of them so go wild!

Right, so that is some inspiration for you, and here is some more.....

I used this adorable owl digi image from Doodle Pantry and colored him with Pro Markers and Flex Markers.  I cut out the image layer with a Nestabilities die.  The gold accented layer just behind the image is Glitter Girls 'pabric'.  The bright pink layer is Create and Craft Topsy Turvey card.  The other two layers are just assorted card and paper I had in my stash.  I think I got the mauve patterned paper from last year's summer crafting in a pick and mix bunch.  I am doing pretty well using up bits from my stash, but there are always new and beautiful things that I can't live without..lol.  The ribbon is also from my stash, so lord only knows where I got it from.

Well, I hope you like the card, and that it has given you a bit more inspiration so you can create something yourself to enter the challenge.  Don't forget you can join our group and enter the challenges on facebook as well.

Take care, and I can't wait to see what you all come up with.

Happy Birthday to Nina Collins!!!!

This blog post is extra special because it marks the birthday of our dear friend Nina Collins!!   I actually have a lot to thank Nina for (even though she may not know it), because it was her birthday card that got me in gear with drawing digi stamps.

Although there are a plethera of fairy themed stamps, both digi and rubber, and I do own many of each, I was given the challenge by my other half to draw a fairy image especially for Nina.  Some of you may have seen the image in the Crafty Boots Shop already, but this is her debut in colored form.

The image is colored with Pro and Flex Markers, and it is one of the (now many) Daffy's Digis available only @ Crafty Boots.  I am sure Nina won't mind if her special fairy is available to others :)

The flowers are from a bundle I got from Create and Craft.  As I said in a previous post, I love these flowers and should have bought two bundles...or three...or four.  The colors are gorgeous and the detail is really amazing.  I used various papers from my stash including K&C, Create and Craft.  The sentiment is from Hunkydory.  I cut the shaped layers using a Grand Nestie.  Since I didn't particularly want to make an enormous card, I decided to have the layers extend over the top of a half A4 landscape card.  I still had to make a custom envelope, but I was hoping the entension would give it a bit of 'lift'.

Happy Birthday to you Nina!!!!  I hope you have a wonderful day and an even more wonderful year to come!!

Crafty Boots Challenge - Good Luck

Hello crafty people.....

This Monday marks the start of another 2 week challenge at Crafty Boots Challenges.  This time, the theme is 'Good Luck'. Please check out the challenge website here to get some inspiration from the lovely creations the rest of the design team has come up with.

As for my creation, I have to be honest and admit that I remembered the DT cards were 'due' at the last minute, so I worried that I wouldn't be able to put anything together that I would be happy enough to share.  Had I been a clever girl I would have held off on posting the Good Luck card with my own piggy digi image.  Guess I am not a clever girl!  Luckily (see what I did there).. luckily I had this lovely digi image in my files, courtesy of Hope Jacare Doodles from Stitchy Bears, so I was able to make a card that I ended up being very happy with!

Without further suspese, here 'tis....

I colored the image in with Pro and Flex Markers, then cut the layer out with a Grand Nesties Die.  I thought, what is a wedding without a bit of shimmer, so I added holographic mirror card behind both the image layer and the swirl paper layer (which by the way is from Hunkydory).  I very nearly left it at that, but I thought it needed just a little something extra.   I decided to add the beautiful paper flowers that I recently ordered from Create and Craft.  I love them, and should have ordered two sets - but remember, I am not a clever girl ;)

As I said, I ended up very happy with the result.  Too bad everyone I know that is getting married in the near future will probably see this card (as they are part of the Crafty Boots  DT, or twitter friends or both!).  That is what they make storage for I suppose!

Anyway, we would love to see your Good Luck related creations, so pop over to Crafty Boots Challenges to link up.  Also...Crafty Boots Challenges is having a design team call, so if you are the crafty sort, and want to join in with a lovely group of crafty people, please check out the details here..

Thank you so much for looking, and I hope you can come back soon.  Not to be a broken record, but all comments are very much appreciated!

JIC - Father's Day with Kenny K

Howdy everyone!  Today is Thursday, and that means another new challenge over at Just Inspirational, which is being sponsored by KennyK Downloads this time around!  Although for any Americans out there, the next holiday up is Mother's Day, in the UK that has come and gone so that is why it is not so strange to find one of the 'inspirations' for this challenge to be Father's Day!  In addition to the below image inspiration, there is also a sketch you can use to inspire you.
Right, so I have just one more (hopefully) inspirational item for you, and that is my creation.

I decided to use this sassy little girl who I colored...wait for it...with Flex and Pro Markers..lol.  If being a creature of habit is my biggest vice I am doing ok.  Actually, shopping for crafting supplies is probably my biggest vice, so never mind.

The image layer is cut out using a Nestabilities die as is the round star layer.  The star backing paper was from Making Cards Magazine I believe.  I made the star sentiment using My Craft Studio just using the shape tool and adding the text.  I may be showing my age with the sentiment itself (do people even say 'You Rock' anymore?).  Ah well.  I thought it went with the image and the theme of Father's day, so hey ho!  Anyway, the blue ribbon and the back-most polka dot paper are both items that have been in my stash for, I can't even begin to guess how long.

Well, if you need more inspriration for your own creation, you can be sure to find some at Just Inspirational Challenges as the rest of the design team have come up with some lovely things!  That is also where you will need to link up your own creation if you decide to join in the challenge - and I think it would be great if you did :)

Also, Crafty Boots had a new challenge start on Monday, and the theme is 'Yellow'  - If you are feeling sassy, you can try coming up with something that combines them both!

Thanks for visiting and please pop back again soon!

And it was all Yellow

Happy Monday Morning to everyone!  This Monday is extra special because it is the start of another fun challenge over at Crafty Boots Challenges.  This fortnight's theme is yellow, and here is my card:

I used this adorable Sassy Cheryl image.  I love her images and couldn't resist coloring this beauty up in a pretty yellow dress.  The coloring was done with Flex and Pro Markers.  I used a Spellbinders Nestability die to cut the image layer and then an Edgeability die for the pink backing layer.

The flowers and the sentiment are from different Create and Craft kits that I purchased sometime last year and have been using sparingly.  I made a promise to try to use up at least some of my stash this year, so this was a perfect opportunity to do just that.

I do hope you will go over to Crafty Boots Challenges to check out the yellow inspired creations by the rest of the design team and to link up your own.  I really love looking at the wonderful projects you come up with.

I thought I would enter this card in the following challenges:

Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturdays - Birthday
Fairy Fun Fridays - Anything with Flowers
Southern Girls Challenge - Get Your Girly On
Ladybug Crafts Ink - Birthday
Passion for Promakers - Cut it Out

Also, don't forget that Just Inspirational Challenges holds a new photo inspired challenge each week starting on Thursdays.  This is the photo inspiration for the current challenge (which is sponsored by Stamping Dragon Designs.

Thank you so much for stopping by, and I hope you come back soon.  Please feel free to leave a comment.  I really do love reading them.

Take care and I hope this is a start to a lovely week for you!!

Just Inspirational -Delicious Doodles - Butterfly Bliss

Happy Thursday everyone!  Another Thursday brings us another fun challenge from Just Inspirational Challenges.

This week's sponsor is Delicious Doodles.  Check them out for loads of gorgeous images.

Here is the inspirational photo for the challenge:

and here is my design team card:

This image was really lovely to work with.  In addition to it being gorgeous, the line art is very bold and strong, and inspired my card layout.

The image is colored with Flex Markers.  I used a combination of papers for the matting and layering incluing black matte, green glitter, blue mirror board, cream paper and a lovely patterened glittered acetate which is affixed to the cream card layer using brads.

I do have a recipient in mind for this card, but as her birthday is not for a few weeks, I may have to do another card for her so she won't have had a web preview of her birthday card...lol.

I decided to enter this card in a challenge as well...

Crafting When We Can - Things with Wings

I hope you like the card, and if so, please feel free to leave me a comment.  Actually, you can leave constructive criticism as well, so feel free to comment whether you like the card or not!

Do pop over to Just Inspirational Challenges to link up your inspired creations.  I, and the rest of the design team, love looking at them.

Take care and keep on crafting!

xx Denise
