A Girly Card

Come and join us at I ❤️Promarkers, our challenge theme is

'A Girly Card'

Such a beautiful image to colour, all the movement lol.  I used the image Flamenco - image no 19 by SheepSki Designs.  The image was coloured with Promarkers, I then masked the image and used Black Distress Oxide and a stencil by Sheena Douglas with gold stamping ink.  The sentiment was produced digitally when I printed the SheepSki image ready for colouring.

SheepSki Designs

The challenge this fortnight at I ❤️Promarkers is
 'Colour Inspiration'
and the sponsor for this challenge is  SheepSki Designs  with a prize of 3 digital images from the Sheepski Designs store.

Colour Inspiration used

Oh I had so much fun with this challenge, a great favourite of mine to have the theme 'Colour Inspiration' and such great colours to work with here too.  My creation is a little bit tongue in cheek lol, I don't really enjoy making Christmas cards but this fabulous image by SheepSki Designs called 'Rudolf's Selfie' is just so much fun I could not resist choosing him to work with.  Don't you think he has worked so well for this alternate Christmas colour card with his green hat and chilly turquoise nose lol.

Image coloured with Promarkers with the addition of some Pearl White and White Sparkle embossing powders.  Sentiment was printed digitally and then the layer embossed with the Christmas Tree embossing folder.

Flower Bouquet

The challenge this fortnight at I ❤️Promarkers is
 'Speedy Recovery/ Get Well'
and the sponsor for this challenge is  SheepSki Designs  with a prize of 3 digital images from the Sheepski Designs store.

Something a little different for this card, I cropped the image Flower Bouquet by Sheepski Designs to form a border on one side of the card and added the sentiment before printing.  This is a favourite layout of mine especially flower cards :).  The full image looks like this : -

With the image printed I then masked it and created the background by airbrushing with Promarkers.  Next I coloured the flowers but silly me, so busy grabbing this colour and that colour that I forgot to make of record of the ones I had used, sorry.  To finish off the card I used some copper, white and turquoise glitter embossing powder, then mounted the image layer on black, followed by turquoise then added to my card base which I had covered in a burgundy floral design paper (the flowers are really subtle but can be seen in the right light, large roses)

Hello Beautiful

A very proud day today :).  I entered the Sheepski Designs FB challenge in January and was chosen to be their guest designer for the Feb/March challenge.  Thank you so much to the DT and Andrea of Sheepski Designs for this honour.

The theme for the FB challenge is to used ribbon or a bow and I chose to use the image 'Hello' for my creation.

After printing the image and computer generated sentiment I then used a large oval die to cut the image layer.  Next I masked the image and placed the oval onto my plain backing paper and set to with Distress Inks to create the background.  Once the base layer of ink was down I then used a wet one and a stencil to created the washed out areas then lightly went over with some gold from my stamp pad before removing the stencil. The image was then unmasked and coloured with Copics and enhanced with Prismacolour Pencils.  To finish off once the layers were assembled I cut some ribbon diagonally on both side edges and twisted it to resemble seaweed, a couple of light green strips of ribbon which were just twisted were added to the group and finally some pearls.  Lastly I made a small bow and added three more pearls at the top right just for a bit of balance.

Challenge #77
Follow The Sketch

This fortnights challenge 'Follow The Sketch' has been chosen by Christine.  I stamped the patterned papers with Altnew inks and coloured the image with Copics.  The image is by Sheepski Designs and one that I won a few months ago, isn't it just so precious :).  It is not often I use a sketch to create my layouts so I throughly enjoyed this challenge, just that little bit different from what I normally do :)

Solo

The challenge this fortnight at I ❤️Promarkers is
 'Embossing'
and the sponsor for this challenge is  SheepSki Designs  with a prize of 3 digital images from the Sheepski Designs store.

Lots of Promarker usage on this card :), I started by printing the image along with a second copy on printer paper which I used for masking.  Next I coloured the skin but halted on the colouring there as I had chosen the green I wanted to use for the background but needed to see it over a large area not just a swatch so I could choose suitable greens for the dress.  The image was masked and I air brushed the background with Pastel Green.  I left this overnight for the colours to settle down and in the morning re-did the skin to give more depth.  The rest of the image was then coloured and once again masked so I could heat emboss the music designs with gold embossing powder along with the sentiment.  I then cut a second sheet of paper and air brushed again with Pastel Green, added a music corner by heat embossing again in gold then ran the sheet through a music embossing folder before gluing to my card which I had already covered with a black base.  The image layer was mounted on black and I added a couple of gold peel off stickers to finish off before attaching to the card base.
