You're fabulous Dahling!

Hello and happy Sunday! It's cold and dreary here in Southeast Missouri, so the perfect day to stay inside and get crafty. My card today was created for the latest Less Is More card challenge. To create my card I started by layering some beautiful pink patterned paper that I've had in my stash for years onto my white A2 card base. I cannot even recall who made the paper but I know the name of the collection is Amore.  Next I stamped one of the purses from Skipping Stones Design Birthday Purses stamp set onto some white Copic-friendly cardstock. I colored the image using my alcohol markers, fussy cut it, and went around the edges with my dual tip Memento tuxedo black marker for a nice crisp look. I die cut a focal panel using a stitched edge rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs and stamped the sentiment from the same Skipping Stones Design stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink. I popped the purse image up using some 3M foam tape and adhered it to the focal panel above the sentiment. I kept this card pretty simple so I finished it off my added some clear rhinestones from Paper Recollections in the four corners and on the clasp of the purse. Thank you for stopping by my blog today, and if you like my card be sure to leave a comment. I read and enjoy them all!

A Little Birdie Told Me

Hello and happy Sunday! Hope everyone is safely surviving our COVID-19 situation. My card today was created for the If You Give A Crafter A Cookie, Time Out Challenges, and The Paper Players challenges. To create my card I started by adhering some beautiful spring themed patterned paper from We R Memory Keepers Simply Spring 6x6 paper pad directly onto my white A2 card base. I then die cut another piece of coordinating patterned paper from the same paper pad using a wonky edge stitched rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs and popped it up off of the card using some fun foam I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I cut a few strips of the base patterned paper and ran that through the my Cuttlebug with the same stitched die and adhered it to the paper. I stamped the sweet little birds from the Technique Tuesdays Chickadees stamp set onto some white Copic-friendly paper and colored them using my alcohol markers. I stamped the sentiment from the Skipping Stones Design Heartsong I stamp set above the birds and die cut the whole thing into an oval panel using a pierced edge die from My Favorite Things. I added some dashed lines around the outer edge using my dual tip Memento tuxedo black marker and adhered it to my card. To finish my card I added some sweet pastel 6mm and some clear 4mm sequins from Pretty Pink Posh around the panel. Thank you for visiting my blog today and I hope you like my card!

Bras Are Like Friends

Hello! I hope everyone is having a happy Monday. Today's card was created for the latest The Paper Players card challenge. To create my card I started by layering some dark turquoise cardstock from Hobby Lobby onto my white A2 card base. I then die cut a scalloped edge rectangle panel using a Gina Marie Designs die and some white cardstock from Staples. I stamped the sentiments and the bra from the Skipping Stones Design Bras Volume 1 stamp set and colored the bra to match the layered cardstock. To finish the card I added some turquoise sequins from The Ton onto the base, added some shimmer to the bra using my Spectrum Noir clear glitter pen, and popped the entire panel up off of the card base using some inexpensive fun foam I found at Hobby Lobby. This card was super easy to create and would be fun to mass produce in different colors to create a fun gift pack! Thanks for stopping off here today and, if you like my card please leave a comment. I read and appreciate them all!

Thinking Of You

Please Grab Our Badge!
Hello and happy Sunday! Whew, it has been a long week. As most of you know I work two jobs and have been dating a guy who also works two jobs so it's really hard to coordinate crafting around work, dating, running, and obligatory life tasks. So, this will be my first card in almost two weeks. My blog needed some love so I took some time to sit down and create today. My first card today was created for the Watercooler Wednesday, Freshly Made Sketches, and The Sisterhood Of Crafters challenges. To create my card I started by layering a small strip of blue and white polka patterned paper from the Jen Hadfield Homemade DIY Home 6x6 patterned paper pad onto my white card base. I then stamped the musical note stamp from the Skipping Stones Design Heartsong I stamp set onto a white card panel using Stampin' UP bashful blue ink. I then stamped the butterflies from the same stamp set on top using Gina K Design black ink. I stamped the sentiment from the Skipping Stones Design Heartsong II stamp set onto some Stampin' UP basic black cardstock using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using some Ranger snow detail embossing powder. I adhered the stamped panel down to my card base next to the polka paper and adhered a thin strip of the black cardstock to add some contrast between the panels. I popped the sentiment up off of the card using some thin foam tape and called this card done. I hope you like it!

Just A Note

Hello, and welcome to the June/July Words 2 Craft By Challenge! This month's word challenge is "go where you feel most alive." I absolutely love music. I literally have music playing almost my entire day when I'm not at work. I run to music, shower to it, clean and craft to it, even cook and dress in the morning to music. It's a huge part of my life. So, I felt like I had to incorporate a musical note into my card this month. To start I layered some beautiful patterned papers from G.C.D Studios Splendor 8x8 paper pad onto my white card base. I die cut a pierced edge oval using paper from the same paper pad and a My Favorite Things die and adhered it straight down to the card. I stamped the Victrola image from the Unity Stamp Company Better With Age KOTM onto some Copic-friendly cardstock and colored it using my alcohol markers. I fussy cut the image and popped it up off of the card using some foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives. I stamped the sentiment from the Skipping Stones Designs Heartsong II stamp set onto more white cardstock using Versafine onyx black ink and used a 1" circle punch from Stampin' UP to punch it out and adhered it to the card using more foam squares. A few black sequins from Pretty Pink Posh finish off my card. I can't wait to see how our challenge inspires you this month!

Bras Are Like Friends

Hello and Happy Memorial Day weekend! Thank you for stopping by today. My card was created for the latest Time Out Challenge where we were to use the photo as inspiration for our card. I absolutely loved the colors in this photo! To create my card I started by layering some circles of patterned paper that I cut using an MFT pierced edge circle die and some papers from the Authentique 6x6 Essentials collection onto a piece of hot pink cardstock from the Mementa Cardstock Mats 5x7 paper pad. I then die cut the entire panel using a Gina Marie Designs funky edged rectangle die and popped the panel up off of my card using some fun foam from Hobby Lobby. I then stamped the bras from the Skipping Stones Design Bras Vol. 1 stamp set onto more of the same patterned papers, fussy cut them out, edged them with my dual tip Memento tuxedo black marker, and popped them up using Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Skipping Stones Design Bras Vol. 3 stamp set onto some white cardstock and then die cut it into a focal panel using a stitched edge rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs and popped that up off of the card to complete my card. If you like my card be sure to leave a comment and subscribe. Have a safe and happy weekend!

Thank You Tuxedo Card

Today's card was created for the latest Cards In Envy card challenge. To create my card I started by layering some black cardstock onto my white card base. I then layered some pretty black and white patterned paper from the Ki Modern Elegance 6x6 paper pad directly on top. I added a small strip of grey patterned paper from the same pad directly in the center as a way to break up the busy patterned paper. I then stamped the flower from the MFT Inspired By Flowers #4 stamp set onto some white cardstock and the sentiment from the Skipping Stones Design Heartsong II stamp set using my mini-Misti and Memento tuxedo black ink. I absolutely adore this floral image and use it a lot on simple sympathy and thank you cards. I popped the focal panel up off of the card using some cheap fun foam I picked up at Hobby Lobby. And that finished my card. Thank you for visiting my blog and if you like my card please leave me a comment below. Have a good day!

Just A Note To Say

Today's card was created for the latest Addicted To CAS card challenge. As many of you know, clean and simple has never been my thing. I struggle with it because I love layers and patterned paper but it's good to break out of our comfort zone, right? To create my card I die cut a piece of patterned paper from the 7gypsies Postale 8x8 paper pad down using a Gina Marie Designs stitched rectangle die. I stamped the musical note elements from the Skipping Stones Design Heartsong I stamp set twice onto the focal panel using Gina K warm cocoa ink. I then stamped the bird, sentiment, and musical notes from the same stamp set onto the panel using Memento tuxedo black ink so I could add some Copic coloring. The leaves at the end of the branch are from the Heartsong II stamp set. The patterned paper was a bit flimsy so I die cut another rectangle panel using 110lb cardstock and backed it against the paper. I went around the edges of the panel with Tim Holtz distress ink in tea dye just to give it a nice vintage look. I popped the panel up off of the card using some 3M foam tape and added a few clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh for a finishing touch. I hope you like it and thank you for visiting my blog today!
