Hello and happy Wednesday! I hope everyone is surviving the COVID-19 mania and staying safe. I work in healthcare so I'm considered an essential worker but the doctor I work for has taken the rest of the week off. That left me with a day or two to get creative. Today's card was created for the latest Jingle Belles card challenge. To create my card I started by stamping the images from the Close To My Heart Holiday Joy stamp set onto some white Copic-friendly cardstock and die cut it into a pretty scalloped edge panel using a Gina Marie Designs scalloped rectangle die. I colored the images using my alcohol markers in traditional Christmas colors. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set and fussy cut the scroll out and mounted it onto the panel using some 3M foam tape. To finish my card I simply mounted the panel onto some deep red cardstock from Stampin' UP. Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Be sure to leave a comment and be safe out there!

Hello and happy Monday! Today's card was created for the latest Jingle Belles card challenge. The challenge this month is to upcycle, recycle, etc. I have been doing this with Christmas cards for years. Each year before I recycle my holiday things I go through each of my cards and select the ones that can be re-used in one form or another. This beautiful card was just too easy. All I had to do was die cut a panel out of the main image using a stitched rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs. Stamp a sentiment from the Papertrey Ink Winter Snow Globe stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink onto the panel and add a few red sequins from Craft Medley the front. I mounted the entire panel onto some inexpensive fun foam from Hobby Lobby and popped it up onto an A2 white card base covered in some real red cardstock from Stampin' UP and this card was done. I love when I can re-use an item that would have ended up in the trash and it helps me get a leg up on my Christmas cards for the upcoming holiday season. Thank you for visiting my blog today!

Today's card was created for the latest Jingle Belles card challenge. To create my card I started by layering some basic black cardstock from Stampin' UP onto my standard white card base. I then layered a piece of red patterned paper from the American Crafts Very Merry 6x6 paper pad on top and added some white dashed lines around the outer edge for some fun contrast. I then die cut the snow globe images from the Papertrey Ink Winter Snow Globe stamp and die collection. I prepped the die cut images with my EK Success powder tool and stamped the base of the snow globe onto the cardstock using Versamark ink and heat set it using Recollections detail embossing powder in silver. I then stamped the snowflakes using more Versamark ink and heat set them twice, once using Ranger's holographic embossing powder for a fun sparkle and again with Recollections detail embossing powder in snow. I love the little extra glimmer and shine stamping it twice gave the images. I then die cut and stamped the Santa, snowman, and tree images onto some white Copic-friendly cardstock and colored them using my alcohol markers. I then stamped the sentiment onto more of the same black cardstock using the Amy R Stamps Big Christmas Wishes stamp set and heat embossed it using more of the Recollections detail embossing powder in snow. I trimmed the sentiment down to create a fishtail banner. I then mounted the snow globes directly to the card base using the sketch as my guide and popped the focal images up off of them using Stampin' UP's foam dimensionals and the fishtail banner using some 3M foam tape. I love how adorably this card turned out. I hope you like it too!

Today's card was created for the latest Jingle Belles and Watercooler Wednesday card challenges. To create my card I started by adding some glittery gold washi tape from the American Crafts Make It Happen collection onto some white cardstock. I then cut down a piece of patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Signature Christmas 6x6 paper pad and die cut a snowflake out it. I adhered the gold washi tape panel to the back of the patterned paper using my Ranger multi-matte medium glue and then mounted it to a piece of early espresso cardstock from Stampin' UP. I stamped the sentiment from Stampabilities Merry Christmas onto the patterned paper using Gina K Design charcoal brown ink. I then wrapped some gold glittery Lawn Fawn lawn trimmings to the card and tied a bow. I added a simple blue button to the center of the snowflake and popped the entire panel up off of my white card base using some inexpensive fun foam from Hobby Lobby. To finish this glittery, fun card off I added some gold Stickles around some of the printed snowflakes on the patterned paper. I hope you like my card. Be sure to subscribe and leave a comment. I appreciate them all!

Today's card was created for the latest Jingle Belles card challenge. The challenge is to create a card with a building on it. To create my card I started by layering a piece of dark blue patterned paper from the Colorbok Watercolor Rainbow 8.5x11 paper pad onto my white card base. To create my winter scene I had to incorporate several different stamp sets. I started by stamping the birch tree from Altenew's Birch Land stamp set onto some Copic-friendly cardstock. I then stamped Altenew's Winter Cottage to make it look like it was in the background. I then selectively stamped two of the little trees from the Memory Box Deer In The Field stamp set next to the fence row to create a nice balanced scene. I then stamped the sentiment from the Hero Arts Merry Christmas Trees onto the top left corner. I die cut the entire scene using a stitched edge rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs and colored the images in using my alcohol markers. I adhered the panel to the card using some inexpensive fun foam from Hobby Lobby and then added some Wow extra fine white glitter to all of the snowy areas on the trees for a fun glittery finish. Love how serene this scene looks! Thank you for visiting my blog and if you like my card please be sure to leave a comment.

Hello, and happy Monday! Today's card was created for the latest Jingle Belles photo challenge. I have to be honest...I would never think to put orange on a Christmas card so this one perplexed me for a few minutes until I remembered my fun Simon Says Stamp set Hand Lettered Winter Wishes. I love the graphic diagonal stripe and bold sentiments in this set and thought it might be fun to combine them with some traditional blue and white cardstock for a fun mix of colors. I started by stamping the sentiment from the SSS stamp set directly onto my card base using Memento tangelo ink. I then die cut a piece of white cardstock using a pierced scalloped edge rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs and cut down one edge for a fun border to my blue and white patterned paper from Gina K Designs. I stamped the diagonal border onto some white cardstock using the same Memento ink and cut it down into a thin strip and layered it onto my patterned paper. I die cut a few snowflakes in two different sizes and colored one using the Memento tangelo ink and adhered them together using a glue dot and then glued them down to the card panel. I popped the entire focal panel up off of the card using some inexpensive fun foam from Hobby Lobby. I finished the card off by adding some enamel dots from Simple Stories Life Documented and some Recollections clear rhinestones. For some additional sparkle and shine I added some clear Spectrum Noir glitter pen to the snowflakes and the sentiment. Thank you for visiting my blog and if you like my card please leave a comment and subscribe!
Today's card was created for the latest Jingle Belles Challenge. To create my card I started by layering some kraft cardstock from Hobby Lobby onto my white card base. I then stamped the wonderful Snowy Postcard stamp by Stampendous onto some Canson cold press watercolor paper using Versafine onyx black ink. I stamped the image twice. Using my Tim Holtz distress inks I laid down a light layer or tea dye onto the base layer and dried it with my heat tool. I popped it up off of my card base using 3M foam tape. I watercolored the second image I stamped and fussy cut it out around the oval and the holly branch. I edged it with my dual tip Memento marker and adhered it directly to the base panel. I finished this card off by adding some clear Wink of Stella to the snowy caps on the roof lines and around the ground.

Today's card was created for the latest Jingle Belles card challenge. The challenge is to create something with Santa Claus on it. I created my card by layering some fun, festive patterned papers from the Doodle Bug Home For The Holidays 6x6 paper pad onto my white card base. I added a small strip of green cardstock from the American Crafts Christmas cardstock 6x6 paper pad to the edge just to break up the patterned paper. I stamped the adorable little Santa onto some Copic friendly cardstock and colored him using my alcohol markers. I die cut him out using an x-edge die by Gina Marie Designs. I die cut another of the same panels using the green cardstock. I layered them together and stamped the greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Gnome For The Holidays at the bottom. I popped the focal panel up off of the card using Stampin' UP foam dimensionals and added some Nuvo Crystal Drops in rhubarb crumble for some fun interest. I finished the card by adding a fun dotted border that I die cut using more of the green cardstock and a fun little Papertrey Ink die. I hope you like it!

Today's card was create for a challenge but I completed it too late to participate. To create my card I started with a piece of Canson cold pressed watercolor paper, smooth side up. Using my Misti stamping tool I stamped the XOXO border from the Simon Says Stamp Big Holiday Wishes stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink. The Misti stamping tool came in handy since I was stamping onto watercolor paper and even though I was stamping on the smoother side of the paper it took several stampings to get a good impression. I then stamped the focal sentiment and the strings for my mitten onto the watercolor paper using the same ink and heat embossed it using some Zing clear embossing powder. I did this so I could watercolor around the image and not have the ink dull from the ink. Using Tim Holtz distress ink in faded jeans I watercolored the focal panel and added some splotches and dots using an acetate sheet and the smooshing technique. I then stamped the mittens from the same stamp set onto some plain white cardstock and used Gina K Designs ocean mist ink to stamp the coordinating heart on the mittens. I fussy cut those out and popped them up off of the card using some Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. For a finishing touch I added some clear Wink of Stella glitter pen to the mittens for some pretty shimmer and shine. I hope you like my card! Please don't forget to leave a comment.

Today's card was created for both the Case This Sketch and Jingle Belles challenges. I am still in the midst of making Christmas cards for next year so love the opportunity to challenge me to make holiday cards and I love this sketch, so I thought I'd combine the two together to create one fun card! I started by die cutting a piece of Canson watercolor paper using a Gina Marie Designs stitched edge rectangle die. Using a smooshing technique and some Tim Holtz spun sugar distress ink I added a nice wash of pink to the background. On a separate piece of watercolor paper I combined Tim Holtz spun sugar, worn lipstick, and picked raspberry distress inks together to create a nice variegated look and then die cut the sheet using some pretty My Favorite Things snowflake dies. I added a bit of Wink of Stella to the snowflakes and adhered them directly onto the die cut panel. Using a small star shape from the Simon Says Stamps Hand Lettered Wishes stamp set and some light grey ink I added a few more "snowflake" details around the card. I then prepped a piece of Stampin' UP's basic black cardstock using my EK Success powder tool and stamped the sentiment from the Power Poppy Cozy Cupfuls stamp set using Versamark ink and some Recollections snow white embossing powder. Once heat set I cut the sentiment panel down and popped it up off of the card using some Stampin' UP foam dimensionals. I popped the focal panel up off of the card using 3M foam tape for a bit of dimension. I hope you like this fun, non-traditional holiday card!

My second card today was created for the latest Jingle Belles challenge, where the challenge is to use a sticker on your project. I created my card by layering a piece of patterned paper from PinkFresh Studio Christmas Wishes 6x6 paper pad onto my white card base. I die cut a snow bank using white cardstock and a Paper Smooches edge die. I stamped the sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Hand Lettered Winter Wishes stamp set using Versafine onyx black ink for a nice crisp look. For a finishing touch I added three adorable little snowman stickers to the snowbank to complete my scene. I'm not sure who made the stickers. I picked them up last year during a clearance sale at Michael's and I no longer have the original packaging. Anyway, this was was one of the easiest Christmas cards I've ever created. If I had more of these fun stickers it would be fun to mass produce. I hope you like it!
