Hello :) Happy Wednesday to you. Today marks the beginning of 'Deireadh Fomhair' (Irish for October), and November in Irish is Samhain, which is also the name for 'Hallowe'en' in Irish. It is believed that the old Irish ritual Samhain (October 31st) is where celebrating Hallowe'en originated. This is the one night that the spirits had easier access to this world, hence why all the scary customs and rituals (for example "Trick or Treat") began, as all the spirits were crossing between the afterlife and this life and able to trick and scare people!
Thank you to everyone who took part in our September challenge. On Friday our October/
Deireadh Fomhair challenge will be revealed along with the top 3. But for October, Hallowe'en month, we have a wonderful 'TREAT'. It's a giveaway! Woohoo!!
