New Flight One (Services) Raytheon B200 King Air VH-FOJ Spotted at Longreach Airport on Delivery Flight - Plus More!

On Friday 6 December, Flight One (Services) Raytheon B200 King Air VH-FOJ was spotted passing through Longreach Airport.  It arrived from Darwin after arriving there from overseas the previous day.


It then departed Longreach Airport for Warwick and its Archerfield base. 

Meanwhile, also on Friday 6 December, Kelsall P/L (Aeronautics and Technology Holdings) Pilatus PC-12/45 VH-PID visited Rockhampton Airport from Toowoomba.

The Queensland Government (State of Queensland) Beech B300 Super King Air 350i aircraft VH-8PF visited Rockhampton Airport from Cairns and Townsville. 

Aero Logistics / Bayswater Road Aerial Surveys Cessna 404 Titan VH-WGS flew up from Archerfield to a missed approach at Rockhampton Airport before it then returned to Archerfield. 

While Air Link (Dubbo) Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-SEQ visited Rockhampton Airport from Archerfield.

And seemingly Australian based but American registered Eclipse Aviation EA550 Very Light jet (VLJ) bizjet N771MT arrived into Bundaberg Airport from the Sunshine Coast.

UPDATE!  On Saturday 7 December, N771MT departed Bundaberg Airport for Sydney.

Finally, late on Thursday 5 December, Central Queensland Helicopter Rescue Service (CQ Rescue) / CQ Aeromedical Leonardo AW139 helicopter VH-XQ8 as "Rescue 401" became the 22nd helicopter to land at the Rockhampton Base Hospital.

The Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ Pops into Rockhampton Airport - Plus More!

On Friday 29 September, the frequent sight of the Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ was once again in the region, flying into Rockhampton Airport from Carins and Townsville.

It then departed to Brisbane before later returning to Rockhampton Airport and then continuing to Townsville and Cairns.

Flight One (Services) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-UVH flew up to Truganinnie from and back to Archerfield.

While Hughes Aviation (Hughes Pastoral Group) (Gympie) Pilatus PC-12//47E NGX VH-8HP flew out of Mackay Airport to Redcliffe, the Gold Coast and Archerfield before then returning back to Mackay Airport.

Meanwhile, also on Friday 29 September, seemingly Australian based but American registered Eclipse Aviation EA550 Very Light jet (VLJ) bizjet N771MT flew out to Winton Airport from its Sunshine Coast base.

UPDATE!  On Sunday 1 October, N771MT returned to the Sunny Coast from Winton Airport.

And LifeFlight (Aeromed) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-OFB "Ambulance 624" had a busy day, flying from Brisbane to Gladstone Airport and then Carins.  It then flew down to Mackay Airport and Rockhampton Airport where it was photographed below.


VH-OFB "Ambulance 624" then flew back to Brisbane.

Finally, some helicopter action, also on Friday 29 September, included the delivery of Bell 206L-4 LongRanger IV VH-8BH to Clermont operator Bush Heli-Services (in conjunction with Longreach operator Queensland Helicopters).   (UPDATED!  Added photo below!)

It flew up from Bankstown via Mudgee and Roma Airports to Clermont.

While at Rockhampton Airport, Stirling Helicopters Aerospatiale / Eurocopter AS.350 B2 Squirrel helicopters VH-LBT "Firebird 423" and VH-LGG "Firebird 465" both looked to operate from there to fight bushfires around the Canal Creek area.



One or both helicopters have also been noted operating out of Rockhampton Airport on bushfire fighting duties at other times over the previous couple of weeks.

Australian Based American Registered Eclipse Aviation EA550 Bizjet N771MT Pops into Bundaberg Airport - Plus More!

On Thursday 29 June, seemingly Australian based but American registered Eclipse Aviation EA550 Very Light jet (VLJ) bizjet N771MT was noted visiting Bundaberg Airport.

It looked to arrive from and then later depart back to its Sunshine Coast base.

While Avcair (Avgunn) LearJet 60 bizjet VH-ILJ also visited Bundaberg Airport, flying in from Brisbane.  It then departed to Rockhampton Airport, Emerald Airport and Longreach Airport before returning to Brisbane.

And Air Charter Services / Flight Options (Australia) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300 bizjet VH-VKX flew into Hamilton Island Airport from Brisbane and Melbourne (Essendon) before later departing to Cairns.

Meanwhile, also on Thursday 29 June, Darwin-based Cessna 310R VH-DAI popped into Longreach Airport while flying down from Mount Isa to the Gold Coast.  It had flown across from Darwin and Borroloola the previous day.

VH-DAI also flew up to the Top End from the Gold Coast last Thursday and Friday, again via Longreach Airport and Mount Isa.

After completing several days of aerial survey flights out and back, Dino Air (Interair) Piper PA-31 Navajo VH-XGL departed the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour for Roma Airport.

While Brisbane-based Crockett Aviation Group Beech B200 King Air VH-FAQ also flew into the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site from Archerfield before then returning there but via the Sunshine Coast.

And Flight One (Services) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-UVH flew up from Archerfield and the Sunshine Coast to Labona before returning to Archerfield direct.

Aerlink (formerly Hevilift) ATR 72-500 Turboprop VH-FVY Spotted at Rockhampton Airport on Sports Charter - Plus More!

Late on Saturday 17 June,  Aerlink (formerly Hevilift) ATR 72-500 turboprop VH-FVY was spotted at Rockhampton Airport soon after arriving into Rockhampton Airport from Brisbane as HT702.  Early on Sunday 18 June, VH-FVY then departed to Cairns as HT704 presumably on a sports team charter flight.



At the time of writing, VH-FVY is returning to Rockhampton Airport from Cairns as HT703 and is due to return to Brisbane later on Sunday evening as HT701.

Meanwhile, also on Sunday 18 June, Darwin-based Lloyd Aviation Jet Charter Dassault Falcon 900 bizjet VH-PPD visited Hamilton Island Airport from the Gold Coast.

Finally, on Saturday 17 June, Little Aviation (Victoria) Gulfstream G-VI (G650ER) VH-LAL arrived into Hamilton Island Airport from Melbourne (Tullamarine).

UPDATE!  On Monday 19 June, VH-LAL departed Hamilton Island Airport and returned to Tullamarine.

Special Mining Services / Flight Options (Australia) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300E bizjet VH-UYX landed at Longreach Airport from Sydney and then departed to Darwin.

Australian based but American registered Eclipse Aviation EA550 Very Light jet (VLJ) bizjet N771MT departed Longreach Airport for the Sunshine Coast. It had arrived from there the previous day.

While Piper PA-31-350 VH-MJA departed Mackay Airport for Townsville.  It is reportedly on delivery to Townsville-based operator ZephAir Australia.

Plus Piper PA-31-350 VH-AUG was noted visiting Hamilton Island Airport from its Cairns base.

And late on Friday 16 June, AirMed Australia Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-NEQ as "AirMed 923" visited Rockhampton Airport twice, both times looking like it arrived from and departed back to Archerfield.

Australian Based American Registered Eclipse Aviation EA550 Bizjet N771MT Arrives into Longreach Airport - Plus More!

On Friday 16 June, Australian based but American registered Eclipse Aviation EA550 Very Light jet (VLJ) bizjet N771MT was noted arriving into Longreach Airport from the Sunshine Coast.

UPDATE!  On Saturday 17 June, N771MT departed Longreach Airport and returned to the Sunshine Coast.

Southern Airlines Cessna 441 VH-YFD looked to fly up from Charleville Airport to complete aerial survey work around Longreach.

WDC Equipment and Contracting Raytheon 58 Baron VH-EZR flew up from Chinchilla Aerodrome to Kidston before then flying back down to Emerald Airport and back to Chinchilla Aerodrome.

Aerofilm P/L (Rotorhead P/L) Aerospatiale AS-355F-1 Écureuil 2 (Twin Squirrel) Helicopter VH-SEV as "Media 21" flew up from Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport to Rockhampton Airport before continuing to the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour.

And Shortstop Jet Charter Dassault Falcon 900C bizjet VH-OAA was noted visiting Hamilton Island Airport from its Melbourne (Essendon) base.

LifeFlight (Aeromed) Canadair Challenger 604 Bizjet VH-OFB "Ambulance 624" Calls into Rockhampton Airport - Plus More over a Busy Weekend!

Before dawn on Sunday 4 June, LifeFlight (Aeromed) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-OFB "Ambulance 624" was noted visiting Rockhampton Airport. It arrived from Brisbane and then departed to Sunshine Coast before returning to the capital.

While seemingly Australian based but American registered Eclipse Aviation EA550 Very Light jet (VLJ) bizjet N771MT flew up to Hamilton Island Airport from the Sunshine Coast.

UPDATE!  On Wednesday 7 June, N771MT departed Hamo and returned to the Sunny Coast.

And Bowenville (near Toowoomba) based Cessna 525 CitationJet CJ1+ bizjet VH-JSZ had a busy weekend. On Saturday 3 June, it flew up from Archerfield to Bundaberg Airport and then Rockhampton Airport before heading out to Natal Downs and then back to Rocky. Then on Sunday 4 June, VH-JSZ departed Rockhampton Airport for Bundaberg Airport and then back to Archerfield.

Finally, also on Saturday 3 June, Austrek Aviation Beech B200 Super King Air VH-ZGD flew across from Toowoomba to Archerfield before flying up to Truganinnie and then back down to Toowoomba.

Southern Cross University / Eastern Air Link Cessna 337G VH-AEV Operating at Gladstone Airport - Plus More!

As it has done each day so far this month, on Wednesday 29 March, Southern Cross University (Coffs Harbour) / Eastern Air Link (Port Macquarie) Cessna 337G VH-AEV completed an aerial survey flight out of and back to Gladstone Airport.

Research reveals that VH-AEV first arrived into Gladstone Airport from Port Macquarie on Friday 3 March and almost each day since it has completed an aerial survey flight out of the Southern Great Barrier Reef.  It has been reported that South Cross University is utilising VH-AEV to complete complex research of the Reef.

UPDATE!  On Wednesday 5 April, VH-AEV finally departed Gladstone Airport one final time, returning to Port Macquarie via Archerfield.

Meanwhile, also on Wednesday 29 March, General Aviation Maintenance (GAM) Aero Commander 500-S VH-UJU arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Archerfield.

UPDATE!  On Thursday 30 March, VH-UJU departed Rockhampton Airport and returned to Archerfield.

Stirling Helicopters Piper PA-23-250 Aztec VH-EQD flew up from Archerfield to Rockhampton Airport before then departing to Roma Airport and then back to Archerfield. 

Stirling Helicopters Bell Helicopter Textron 206L-1 VH-HKC was noted flying between Rockhampton Airport and Gladstone Airport.

Edwards Coaches Cessna 441 Conquest II VH-OXY flew up from Armidale to Mackay Airport before later returning there but via Port Macquarie. 

Brescon (Toowoomba) Beech B200 King Air VH-XDW flew out from Toowoomba-Wellcamp to Charleville and Emerald Airports before then returning back to Wellcamp. 

While locally-based Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service (CHRS) (Babcock Mission Critical Services Australasia) Agusta S.P.A. AW139 Helicopter VH-YXR departed Rockhampton Airport for the Rolleston Open Cut Mine with a heap of people on board.  It later returned to Rockhampton Airport.

And of the other Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flights, Hinterland Aviation Cessna 208 Caravan VH-HLL flew down from Townsville to the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site and then across to Mackay Airport before then flying back to Labona and Townsville as HND280/1/2/3.

It also looks like VH-HLL also visited Mackay Airport but on Tuesday 28 March, flying down from Townsville and out to Labona and then back to Mackay Airport and Townsville as HND290/1/2/3.

Finally, also on Wednesday 29 March, Robindale Group / Air Link Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-CMK flew down from Weipa to Mackay Airport and then the Sunshine Coast and Orange.  It had flown North over that route on Monday 27 March

American-Registered Eclipse EA500 bizjet N257AK flew down from Hamilton Island Airport to Archerfield.  It had flown up there last Wednesday 22 March.

While Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) (Cobham SAR Services Pty Ltd) Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-XNF as "Rescue 550" flew down from Cairns and operated around the Herbert Creek area East of Ogmore and Marlborough for a while before it then moved to the North-East part of the Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA) before eventually returning to Cairns. 

And Qantas Freight / Pionair Australia BAe 146-300(QT) VH-SQR looked to operate a delayed freight service into both Rockhampton Airport and Mackay Airport.  It departed Brisbane and firstly called into Mackay Airport as QFA7424 before then flying down to Rockhampton Airport as QF7425.  VH-SQR then returned to Brisbane from Rocky as QF7426.

Air Charter Services / Flight Options (Australia) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300 Bizjet VH-VKX Spotted at Hamilton Island Airport - Plus A Few Other Bizjets Around - And More!

On Wednesday 22 March, Air Charter Services / Flight Options (Australia) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300 bizjet VH-VKX was spotted as it arrived into Hamilton Island Airport.  It had flown up from Brisbane and the Gold Coast.


After some time on the ground, VH-VKX departed back to Brisbane.

Also calling into Hamilton Island Airport, also on Wednesday 22 March, was American-Registered Eclipse EA500 Bizjet N257AK which flew up from Archerfield.

UPDATE!  On Wednesday 29 March, N257AK finally departed Hamo and returned to Archerfield.

Plus Bowenville (near Toowoomba) based Cessna 525 CitationJet CJ1+ bizjet VH-JSZ flew up from Archerfield to Hamilton Island Airport before then heading down to Mackay Airport.
 
UPDATE!  On Saturday 25 March, VH-JSZ finally departed Mackay Airport and returned to Hamilton Island Airport.  It then departed to Brisbane and Archerfield.

While also over on the mainland, Jetstream Aviation (Emprja P/L) Cessna 550 Citation II VH-VDF arrived into Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport from the Sunshine Coast.

UPDATE!  On Friday 24 March, VH-VDF departed Prosie for the Sunny Coast.

After only returning over the weekend from an almost three-month stay at Sydney (presumably for maintenance), the locally-based Embraer EMB-550 Legacy 500 bizjet N142GZ departed Mackay Airport for Townsville.  It then returned to Mackay Airport before later returning back to Townsville again and staying.

UPDATE!  On Saturday 25 March, N142GZ departed Townsville and returned to Mackay Airport.

And GBJ Nominees (Navair Flight Operations) Textron (Cessna) 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-IEQ as "Navair 187" visited Rockhampton Airport from Bankstown.

Meanwhile, also on Wednesday 22 March, Austrek Aviation Beech B200 Super King Air VH-ZGD flew out from Toowoomba to Moura Aerodrome.  It then departed to Toowoomba-Wellcamp before returning to Toowoomba (City).

And Queensland Government (QGAir) Rescue (State of Queensland) Leonardo S.P.A. Helicopter (Agusta) AW139 helicopter VH-EGK was noted passing through Emerald Airport while ferrying South from Townsville to Archerfield.  It also seems that VH-EGK has taken up operations out of Archerfield as "Rescue 500".

American-Registered Eclipse EA500 Bizjet N257AK Pops into the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour - Plus More!

On Wednesday 22 February, a nice little corporate bizjet that we haven't seen around the region for a little while in the form of American-Registered Eclipse EA500 Bizjet N257AK, was noted visited the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour.

It arrived from and later departed back to its Archerfield base.  It looks like N257AK looked to have completed a possible training or check flight to Chinchilla Aerodrome on Monday 20 February.

And Stroud Aviation and Transportation (Boonah) / Navair Flight Operations Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-SHI as "Navair 125" visited Hamilton Island Airport also from Archerfield.

Meanwhile, also on Wednesday 22 February, Brisbane-based Hewitt Cattle Australia P/L SOCATA TBM 700 VH-PGA visited my local Clermont Aerodrome from Archerfield. 

Brisbane-based Avcair Cessna 425 Conquest 1 VH-BSM visited Middlemount Aerodrome from Toowoomba and Archerfield. 

Basair Aviation (Vecta Holdings) Piper PA-28-181 Cherokee VH-BWJ flew up from Archerfield to Bundaberg, Rockhampton and Mackay Airports before continuing to the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour. 

UPDATE!  On Thursday 23 February, VH-BWJ returned South from the Whitsunday Airport to Rockhampton and Bundaberg Airports before returning to Archerfield. 

While Aerometrex Vulcanair (Partenavia) VH-EPX is back in the region once again, flying into Roma Airport over the weekend and this week, completing aerial survey work at and around Gladstone, Mackay and now, Rockhampton Airports.  On Wednesday, VH-EPX eventually departed Rockhampton Airport for Archerfield via some aerial survey work.

And Townsville-based NQ Heli-Worx (Meridan Helicopters) Eurocopter EC135 T2 VH-MVY which has been noted completing power-line inspections in the region as "Energy 402", flew up from Bundaberg Airport to Rockhampton Airport before continuing up to Mackay Airport.

Finally, also on Wednesday 22 February, Hinterland Aviation Cessna 208 Carvan VH-TFQ flew down from Townsville to the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site before then heading across to Mackay Airport.  It then returned to Labona and then back to Townsville.  VH-TFQ flew as HND280/1/2/3.

Australian Based American Registered Eclipse Aviation EA550 Bizjet N771MT Pops into Rockhampton Airport - Plus More!

On Friday 30 December, seemingly Australian based but American registered Eclipse Aviation EA550 Very Light jet (VLJ) bizjet N771MT made its first ever official visit into Central Queensland, visiting Rockhampton Airport from its Sunshine Coast base.

The Eclipse looked to arrive into Australia via Darwin in July this year (pictured) with it ultimately looking to take up residence on the Sunshine Coast.

Of interest, N771MT visited Kingaroy Aerodrome in early October - possibly its only other visit to the region.

Meanwhile, also on Friday 30 December, Jetstream Aviation (Emprja P/L) Cessna 550 Citation II VH-VDF arrived into Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport from its Sunshine Coast base.

Avcair (Avgunn) LearJet 60 bizjet VH-ILJ flew up from Brisbane to Mackay Airport, performing a pre-planned holding pattern before landing.  It then flew up to Townsville and Cairns.

Balmoral Air Dassault Falcon 2000LX bizjet VH-WIO visited Hamilton Island Airport once again, this time arriving from Bankstown via the Sunshine Coast.  It later returned directly to its Bankstown base.

And in the wee small hours, LifeFlight (Aeromed) Bombardier Challenger 604 bizjet VH-URR "Ambulance 604" flew from Townsville to Longreach Airport, Emerald Airport and then Rockhampton Airport before then flying back to Townsville.

Finally, also on Friday 30 December, Emerald Air Surveys P/L (Western Australia) Diamond DA42NG Twin Star VH-PXT was noted completing a couple of local flights out of and back to the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour.  VH-PXT appears to have arrived into Shute Harbour from Jandakot, near Perth in Western Australia late last week and into the weekend, flying via Leonora, Ayres Rock and Birdsville.

VH-PXT also visited Shute Harbour in mid-November.

And locally-based Cessna 182T VH-ZCV departed Longreach Airport for Toowoomba.

American-Registered Eclipse EA500 Bizjet N257AK Completes Airwork at Maryborough and Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airports - Plus More!

On Friday 9 December, a nice little corporate bizjet that we haven't seen around the region for a little while in the form of American-Registered Eclipse EA500 Bizjet N257AK, was noted completing airwork at both Maryborough and Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airports while on a flight out of and back to Archerfield.

Meanwhile, also on Friday 9 December, a couple of other familiar bizjets to be noted visiting around the region included Navair Flight Operations Embraer EMB-500 Phenom 100 bizjet VH-LXZ as "Navair 131" which flew down from Mackay Airport to Cessnock.  It looked to have arrived the previous day from Bankstown via Cessnock.

Fellow Jampair P/L (Navair Flight Operations) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300E bizjet VH-NSQ as "Navair 129" was noted departing Hamilton Island Airport for Bankstown.  It too flew up the previous day.

Shortstop Jet Charter Dassault Falcon 900C bizjet VH-OAA visited Hamilton Island Airport once again.  This time, it looked to arrive from and then later depart back its Melbourne (Essendon) base.

While Bowenville (near Toowoomba) based Cessna 525 CitationJet CJ1+ bizjet VH-JSZ flew up from Archerfield to Rockhampton Airport before flying down to Dalby and Armidale and then back to Archerfield.

And LifeFlight (Aeromed) Bombardier Challenger 604 bizjet VH-URR "Ambulance 604" popped into Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport during the evening, while flying up from Brisbane to Townsville.

Finally, also on Friday 9 December, the Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Cairns and Townsville and later departed to Brisbane. It then returned directly to Townsville and Cairns.

New South Wales-based Piper PA-30 Twin Comanche VH-UQR flew back down from the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour to Roma Airport and then back to Bankstown.  It had flown up earlier in the week.

And Clermont-based (but Mackay-registered) Mooney M20J VH-NWF departed Clermont Aerodrome for Archerfield.

UPDATE!  On Monday 12 December, VH-NWF flew up to Rockhampton Airport from Caboolture.  It flew up to there from Archerfield on Sunday 11 December.

UPDATE!  On Saturday 17 December, VH-NWF returned to Clermont Aerodrome from Rockhampton Airport - see Blog post above for a photo!  (Finally!!)

Clive Palmer's NEW Mineralogy Company Bombardier Global Express 6000 Bizjet VH-VQN Calls into Emerald Airport - Plus More!

On Tuesday 18 October, a nice first-time visitor to the region with Clive Palmer's Mineralogy Company's newly registered Bombardier BD-700-1A10 Global Express 6000 bizjet VH-VQN noted calling into Emerald Airport from Brisbane.


After spending the day parked, VH-VQN later returned to Brisbane.

Of interest, the Global Express 6000 was only registered in September and delivered to Mineralogy in Brisbane last Monday 10 October - as pictured above.

Of further interest, the registration marking VH-VQN, was previously worn by a Jetstar Airways Airbus A320 which left Australia back in 2013.  After being stored and re-registered EI-FEN, the A320 was then leased to Bangkok Airways in Thailand and re-registered as HS-PPK.

While also visiting Emerald Airport, also on Tuesday 18 October, was Clive Palmer's Mineralogy Company Agusta A119 'Koala' helicopter VH-KOL.  It actually looked to arrive the previous day from Archerfield, the Gold Coast and Toowoomba.  Later on Tuesday, VH-KOL returned South.

And also visiting Emerald Airport, also on Tuesday 18 October, was MacKellar Mining Equipment Pty Ltd (Revesco Aviation) Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign bizjet VH-MMC.  It arrived from the Sunshine Coast and then departed to the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site.  It later looked to return to Emerald Airport before then heading back to its Sunshine Coast base.

A busy day!

Meanwhile, a couple of other bizjets in the region, also on Tuesday 18 October, included Brisbane-based Teys Australia Cessna 525 Citation CJ2 bizjet VH-TEY which made a really early (before dawn) visit to Rockhampton Airport from Archerfield.

AirMed Australia Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-PWX as "AirMed 998" flew up from Bankstown to Maryborough Airport (pictured) before then returning there via Coffs Harbour.



And American-registered Eclipse EA500 bizjet N257AK departed Mackay Airport for Archerfield after arriving from there the previous day.

Finally, also on Tuesday 18 October, Machjet (Machjet International) Hawker Beechcraft B200 King Air VH-ZSY arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Townsville and later departed to Brisbane. It later returned back North.

The Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ also arrived into Rockhampton Airport but from Brisbane before it later departed to Townsville.

Brisbane-based Australian Agricultural Company Pilatus PC-12/47E VH-AAC landed at Longreach Airport from Brisbane before then departing to Brunette Downs.  It seems to be doing this flight on a weekly basis!

North Queensland Warbirds Beech H18 VH-MBU looked to start to return back to Far North Queensland, arriving into Gayndah Aerodrome from Port Macquarie.

UPDATE!  On Wednesday 19 October, VH-MBU departed Gayndah Aerodrome for Cairns.

Brescon (Toowoomba) Beech B200 King Air VH-DYN visited my local Clermont Aerodrome from Toowoomba-Wellcamp.

And Southern Air Beech 1900 VH-VSO visited Moranbah Airport once again, arriving from West Sale and Bourke and later departing back there and then eventually to Melbourne (Moorabbin).

Plus DeGunst Transport P/L Textron (Cessna) 208 Caravan VH-NPZ completed its weekly FIFO run from Bundaberg Airport to Nebo Aerodrome, this time with stops both on the way up and back at Rockhampton Airport.

Bowenville-based Cessna 525 CitationJet CJ1+ Bizjet VH-JSZ Calls into a Couple of CQ Airports - Plus More!

On Monday 17 October, Bowenville (near Toowoomba) based Cessna 525 CitationJet CJ1+ bizjet VH-JSZ popped into Bundaberg Airport from Archerfield before then departing and touching down at Gladstone Airport where it appears to be staying for at least the night.

UPDATE!  On Tuesday 18 October, VH-JSZ departed Gladstone Airport for Mackay Airport and then Townsville.

Meanwhile, also on Monday 17 October, the locally-based Embraer EMB-550 Legacy 500 bizjet N142GZ returned to Mackay Airport from Sydney. It had flown down on Saturday 15 October.

And American-registered Eclipse EA500 bizjet N257AK flew up from Archerfield to Mackay Airport.

Finally, also on Monday 17 October, FKG Air (Redjet Aviation) Hawker Beechcraft B200GT VH-FKB arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Toowoomba and Archerfield.

UPDATE!  On Tuesday 18 October, VH-FKB departed Rockhampton Airport and returned to Archerfield and then Toowoomba.  Of interest, it later flew back to Archerfield before flying up to Charleville and Quilpie Airports before flying directly back to Toowoomba.

Seair Pacific / Istlecote Cessna 208 Caravan VH-TQW visited the Wanella Station Airstrip near Coppabella, arriving from Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) and Maryborough Airports.  It later returned directly to Hervey Bay Airport.

And RDO Equipment (ex Vanderfield) Cessna 210N VH-JSC flew up from Toowoomba to Bundaberg Airport.  It then looked to fly North to Mackay Airport.

UPDATE!  On Tuesday 18 October, VH-JSC returned South from Mackay Airport to Bundaberg Airport before returning to Toowoomba.

A Few Corporate Bizjets Come and Go from the Whitsunday Airports - Plus More!

On Monday 3 October, Redjet Aviation (Toowoomba) Falcon 50 Dassault Mystere Falcon 50 VH-FJQ was noted visiting Hamilton Island Airport.

It looked to arrive from the Gold Coast before it then later departed to Sydney.

Jampair P/L (Navair Flight Operations) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300E bizjet VH-NSQ flew up from Bankstown to Hamilton Island Airport before then flying up to Townsville and then back to Bankstown.

Special Mining Services / Flight Options (Australia) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300E bizjet VH-UYX flew up from the Gold Coast to Hamilton Island Airport before flying down to Melbourne (Essendon) and Sydney.

Arcturus Group P/L / Flight Options (Australia) Dassault Falcon 2000EX bizjet VH-EWB departed Hamilton Island Airport for Sydney.  It had arrived from there on Friday 30 September.

While Mitchell Water Cessna 525 Citation M2 bizjet VH-WMY had a busy day of flying.  It departed Melbourne (Moorabbin) for Melbourne (Essendon) before then calling into Miles, Chinchilla and then the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour.  It then flew back to Miles and then Chinchilla Airports before flying back down to Essendon and back to Moorabbin.

And seemingly Australian based but American registered Eclipse Aviation EA550 Very Light jet (VLJ) bizjet N771MT looked to pop into Kingaroy Aerodrome from its Sunshine Coast base.

N771MT also looked to visit Kingaroy Aerodrome on Saturday 1 October.

Meanwhile, also on Monday 3 October, Nebrean P/L Hawker Beechcraft B200GT Super King Air 250 VH-JHP visited Hamilton Island Airport from Toowoomba.

Brisbane-based JGB Holdings Piper PA-31-325 VH-FHQ flew back down to Mackay Airport from Townsville before then returning to Brisbane.  It had flown North, also via Mackay Airport, on Wednesday 28 September.

RDO Equipment Co. (ex Vanderfield) Pilatus PC-12/47 VH-WPH flew up from Toowoomba to Dalby and then Emerald Airport.

And Aero Facilities (Adelaide) Cessna 208 Grand Caravan VH-FWX passed through Longreach Airport while flying up from Adelaide to Cairns.



Of interest, this aircraft was delivered to Australia via Darwin and Adelaide in May this year wearing the Sri Lankan registration marking of 4R-EXP.  It was subsequently placed on the Australian Aircraft Register as VH-FWX in June.

A Couple of Bizjets - Phenom VH-LXZ & Citation VH-TEY - Both Spotted at Mackay Airport - And New PNG Registered Airbus H145 Helicopters P2-GAS & P2-LNG Spotted at Proserpine Airport - Plus More!

On Wednesday 28 September, Navair Flight Operations Embraer EMB-500 Phenom 100 bizjet VH-LXZ was spotted visiting Mackay Airport.


As with most other visits, it arrived from and then later departed back to Bankstown via Maitland. 

Also spotted at Mackay Airport, also on Wednesday 28 September, was Brisbane-based Teys Australia Cessna 525 Citation CJ2 bizjet VH-TEY.


It had arrived the previous evening from Mount Isa and Charters Towers Aerodrome, and later on Wednesday, it departed to Newcastle (Williamtown).

While other bizjets noted around the region, also on Wednesday 28 September, included Australian-based but American-registered Eclipse EA500 bizjet N465DG which departed Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport for Bundaberg Airport and then the Shellharbour Airport at Wollongong and then Port Macquarie.  It looked arrive into Hervey Bay Airport from those places the previous day

Avcair Embraer 500 Phenom 100EV bizjet VH-NJR flew down from Townsville to Gladstone Airport and then Brisbane.  It flew up to Townsville from the capital earlier in the day.

And Machjet (Machjet International) Cessna 525 Citation CJ1 bizjet VH-SIY flew into Hamilton Island Airport from the Sunshine Coast. While McDermott Aviation Group / Machjet International Cessna 525A CitationJet CJ2 bizjet VH-SUY arrived into Rockhampton Airport from the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane.

Meanwhile, also spotted in the region, also on Wednesday 28 September, was a pair of brand new and recently delivered Airbus BK117D3 H145 helicopters wearing the Papua New Guinea registration markings of P2-GAS and P2-LNG.



Both helicopters flew together from the Sunshine Coast (where it is believe they were imported to and built) to Rockhampton Airport and then Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport where they were photographed above.  Both helicopters then departed to Cairns.

Finally, also on Wednesday 28 September, FKG Air (Redjet Aviation) Hawker Beechcraft B200GT VH-FKB was back at Rockhampton Airport, arriving from Toowoomba and then departing to Archerfield and then Toowoomba. 

Ipswich-based Airborne P/L (Palm Lake Works) Pilatus PC-12/47E VH-VLQ was also back in the region, this time noted visiting Bundaberg Airport from its Gold Coast base.

While Brescon (Toowoomba) Beech B200 King Air VH-XDW visited the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site from Toowoomba-Wellcamp.

Chinese Registered Learjet 36A Bizjet B-4184 Pops into Longreach Airport Heading to Sydney - Plus More!

On Thursday 11 August, Chinese-registered Learjet 36A bizjet B-4184 popped into Longreach Airport while completing a flight from Darwin to Sydney.  It is pictured at Darwin and at Longreach Airport, it appeared to take on fuel before then continuing to Sydney.


B-4184 had arrived into Darwin from Samuel "Sam" Ratulangi International Airport, North Sulawesi, Indonesia, late the previous day.

Of interest, it appears that B-4184 has previously operated for the Chinese Government / The People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF).

Meanwhile, other bizjets passing through the region, also on Thursday 11 August, included seemingly Australian-based but American-registered Bombardier BD-700-1A10 Global Express bizjet N915JG which looked to arrive into Hamilton Island Airport from its Melbourne (Essendon) base.

Brenzil Dassault Aviation Falcon 7X bizjet VH-CRW visited Gladstone Airport from its Brisbane base.

Embraer EMB-550 Legacy 500 bizjet N142GZ returned to Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport from Brisbane before then hopping back down to Mackay Airport.  It had flown to up to Prosie and Brisbane on Monday 8 August.

And often visiting American-registered Eclipse EA500 bizjet N257AK departed the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour for Archerfield.  It had arrived from there the previous day.

Also on Friday - AirMed Australia Cessna 510 Citation Mustang Bizjet VH-PWX Calls into Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport - Plus More!

Also on Friday 29 July, AirMed Australia Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-PWX as "AirMed 212" was noted visiting Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport.  It looked to arrive from its Bankstown base via the Gold Coast and Archerfield.

VH-PWX then departed to Bankstown.

While often visiting American-registered Eclipse EA500 bizjet N257AK visited the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour from Archerfield.  We haven't seen it for a little while!

Meanwhile, also on Friday 29 July, Telford Aviation (Brisbane) Beech A36 Bonanza VH-MPT flew from Blackall Airport to Hughenden and Julia Creek before flying down to Archerfield late after dark.

ZephAir Australia - Aircraft Charters Piper PA-31 Navajo VH-AYT visited Hamilton Island Airport from its Townsville base.  It also appears to have popped into Mackay Airport on Wednesday 27 July during a busy day of flying between Townsville and the Gold Coast.

Graham Aviation's re-registered Cessna T206H Float Plane VH-FNB (ex VH-PXT) looked to arrive into Hamilton Island Airport from Cairns.

UPDATE!  On Monday 1 August, VH-FNB looked to return to Cairns from Hamo.

And Dino Air (Interair) Piper PA-31 Navajo VH-XGL continues to operate aerial survey flights out of and back to Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport.

Finally, it's worth noting that on a quiet Thursday 28 July, Victoria-based Cessna 182s VH-EUP, VH-NPE and VH-BXW departed the Emu Park Airstrip for Rolleston Aerodrome.  They looked to arrive into Emu Park Airstrip from Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport last weekend.

Melbourne-based Raytheon Hawker 800XP Bizjet VH-OFJ Arrives into Hamilton Island Airport - Plus More!

On Thursday 14 July, ADD Aviation Services (Australian Corporate Jet Centres) Raytheon Hawker 800XP bizjet VH-OFJ was noted arriving into Hamilton Island Airport from its Melbourne (Essendon) base.

At the time of writing, it appears that VH-OFJ is staying for at least the night on Hamo.

UPDATE!  On Monday 18 July, VH-OFJ departed Hamilton Island Airport and returned to Essendon.

While on the mainland at Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport, Divair (Air Link) Cessna 525B CitationJet CJ3 bizjet VH-NNE arrived from Bankstown, Canberra and Cairns.  It is due to depart back to Bankstown early on Friday 15 July.

GBJ Nominees (Navair Flight Operations) Textron (Cessna) 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-IEQ arrived into Longreach Airport from Cairns.  

UPDATE!  On Friday 15 July, VH-IEQ departed Longreach Airport for Ayres Rock.

Avcair (Avgunn) LearJet 60 bizjet VH-OLJ departed Brisbane and landed at Gladstone Airport before then completing the short hop to Rockhampton Airport.  It then returned to Brisbane via Kingaroy (?).

American-registered Eclipse EA500 bizjet N257AK flew up from Caloundra to complete airwork at Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) before it then returned to Caloundra. 

And AAA Aircraft / Flight Options (Australia) Cessna 550 Citation Bravo bizjet VH-CCJ visited Rockhampton Airport while on what appeared to be a training flight from the Sunshine Coast.

UPDATE!  On Friday 15 July, VH-CCJ completed another training flight from the Sunny Coast, this time to Maryborough Airport and back.

Meanwhile, also on Thursday 14 July, Outback Aero Cessna 208 Caravan VH-FTT landed at Longreach Airport from Birdsville on what appears to be another 'outback adventure'.

UPDATE!  On Saturday 16 July, VH-FTT departed Longreach Airport to the South.

And re-registered Bunderra Cattle Co (Rockhampton) Piper PA-46-350P Malibu Mirage VH-KNV departed Rockhampton Airport for Boulia and Barrow Creek (NT) before it then flew back to Rolleston Aerodrome and then back to Rockhampton Airport.

UP Aviation (Victoria) Bombardier BD-700-1A10 Global Express 6000 Bizjet VH-UBH Calls into Longreach and Cloncurry Airports - Plus More!

On Tuesday 5 July, UP Aviation (Victoria) Bombardier BD-700-1A10 Global Express 6000 bizjet VH-UBH was noted visiting a couple of Central Queensland Airports.

It looked to fly up from Melbourne (Tullamarine) to land at Longreach Airport.  It then flew to Cloncurry Airport and Cairns before eventually returning to Tullamarine.

While a trio of Cessna Citation bizjets were also noted visiting some CQ Airports.

Avia Aviation (Victoria) Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-MSU visited Gladstone Airport from Bankstown.

Machjet (Machjet International) Cessna 525 Citation CJ1 bizjet VH-SIY arrived into Rockhampton Airport from the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast before then departing up to Hamilton Island Airport.  VH-SIY then returned to the Sunny Coast.

And Brisbane-based Teys Australia Cessna 525 Citation CJ2 bizjet VH-TEY was noted arriving into Rockhampton Airport from Archerfield.

UPDATE!  On Wednesday 6 July, VH-TEY departed Rockhampton Airport and returned to Archerfield.

Finally, American-registered Eclipse EA500 bizjet N257AK flew up from Archerfield to complete airwork at Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) and Kingaroy Airports before it then returned to Archerfield.   

Meanwhile, also on Tuesday 5 July, recently re-registered Brescon (Toowoomba) Beech B200 King Air VH-DYN visited my local Clermont Aerodrome from Toowoomba-Wellcamp.

Brisbane-based Crockett Aviation Group (ex FIFO Jet P/L) Beech B200 King Air VH-FAQ visited Hamilton Island Airport from Archerfield.

While Brisbane-based Hewitt Cattle Australia P/L SOCATA TBM 700 VH-PGA flew out of Archerfield to land at Alice Springs, flying via Moura and Longreach Airports.

UPDATE!  On Thursday 7 July, VH-PGA returned to Archerfield from Alice Springs, again flying via Longreach and Moura Airports.

And Tasfast Air Freight (Southern Airlines) Beech 1900C VH-YSO made its first visit to Central Queensland, visiting Emerald Airport on this new weekly flight.  VH-YSO flew up from Devonport, Melbourne (Essendon) and West Sale to Emerald Airport before it then departed to Bourke, West Sale and Melbourne (Moorabbin).

Finally, also on Tuesday 5 July, not quite within the CQ region (but close enough!) but Victoria based Piper PA-30 VH-PBH and Piper PA-24-250 VH-CDB, in company with New Zealand-based Piper PA-24-250 Comanche ZK-BAZ, all flew into Winton Aerodrome from Alice Springs.  The three had flown together from Birdsville to Alice Springs late last week, with ZK-BAZ flying across from the Gold Coast after arriving there from New Zealand in the days prior.

Darwin-based Lloyd Aviation Jet Charter Dassault Falcon 900 bizjet VH-PPD Pops into Hamilton Island Airport - Plus More!

On Thursday 12 May, Darwin-based Lloyd Aviation Jet Charter Dassault Falcon 900 bizjet VH-PPD was noted visiting Hamilton Island Airport.

VH-PPD looked to arrive from the Gold Coast before later returning there via Brisbane.

Meanwhile, also on Thursday 12 May, American-Registered Eclipse EA500 Bizjet N257AK flew up from Archerfield on a training flight to a complete a missed approach at Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport before then heading across and completing one at Kingaroy Aerodrome.  It then returned to Archerfield.
