Qantas Airways Boeing B737-800 VH-VXQ Back in Standard Livery and Back in CQ at Mackay Airport - Plus More!

On Monday 16 December, Qantas Airways Boeing B737-800 VH-VXQ made its first visit into Central Queensland following the recent removal of its distinctive 'Retro Roo II' livery.  It visited Mackay Airport operating the QFA988/9 service from and back to Brisbane.

The 'Retro Roo II' livery was removed by the Flying Colours Aviation team at Townsville Airport over October and November.

VH-VXQ returned to service in mid-November in the standard 'silver roo' livery and was noted wearing the name 'Redland'.

Meanwhile, also on Monday 16 December, RDO Equipment Co. Pilatus PC-12/47 VH-WPH landed at Biloela / Thangool Airport from Toowoomba and Archerfield and this afternoon departed to Emerald Airport.

UPDATE!  On Tuesday 17 December, VH-WPH departed Emerald Airport for Archerfield and then Toowoomba.

Rural Funds Management (A.C.T.) Pilatus PC-12/47E VH-STE flew up from Canberra and Orange to Rolleston Aerodrome and then Emerald Airport.

UPDATE!  On Tuesday 17 December, VH-STE departed Emerald Airport for Bundaberg Airport.

UPDATE!  On Wednesday 18 December, VH-STE departed Bundaberg Airport for Orange and Canberra.

While Victorian-based but American-registered Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300 N227SL visited my local Clermont Aerodrome from Archerfield

Brisbane-based Piper PA-31-350 VH-RPV arrived into Clermont Aerodrome from Archerfield and Dalby

UPDATE!  On Tuesday 17 December, VH-RPV departed Clermont Aerodrome for Wondai, Dalby and Archerfield.

And Link Airways (Corporate Air / Vee H Aviation) Cessna 441 Conquest VH-VEY flew up from Brisbane to the Oaky Creek Mine site and then across to Clermont Aerodrome before returning to Brisbane.

Hughes Aviation (Hughes Pastoral Group) (Gympie) Pilatus PC-12/47E NGX VH-8HP Pops into Charleville Airport - Plus More!

On Monday 2 December, Hughes Aviation (Hughes Pastoral Group) (Gympie) Pilatus PC-12/47E NGX VH-8HP flew from Archerfield to Charleville Airport and then onwards Keeroongooloo and down to Adelaide where it was spotted below.


While Kelsall P/L (Aeronautics and Technology Holdings) Pilatus PC-12/45 VH-PID visited Rockhampton Airport from Toowoomba.

RDO Equipment Co. Pilatus PC-12/47 VH-WPH flew up from Toowoomba and Archerfield to Emerald Airport before it later returned to Toowoomba. 

Beech 95-B55 Baron VH-8D8 landed at Emerald Airport from Toowoomba.  It is due to return to Toowoomba on Tuesday 3 December.

Link Airways (Corporate Air / Vee H Aviation) Cessna 441 Conquest VH-VEH flew from Brisbane to Oaky Creek Mine and then Clermont Aerodrome and back to Brisbane

Southern Air Beech 1900C VH-VSO looked to complete the weekly visit to Moranbah Airport, arriving from Melbourne (Moorabbin) and Toowoomba-Wellcamp and then departing back to Wellcamp.

Finally, also on Monday 2 December, Southern Cross University (Coffs Harbour) / Eastern Air Link (Port Macquarie) Cessna 337G VH-AEV was noted completing an aerial survey flight out of and back to Gladstone Airport.  


UPDATE!  VH-AEV was photographed on the Gladstone Airport General Aviation (GA) Apron on Tuesday 3 December.

It looked to have arrived at Gladstone Airport mid-last week from Port Macquarie and the Gold Coast and has since completed daily aerial survey flights each time out of the water.

And ZephAir Australia Piper PA-34-220T Seneca VH-YSI as 'ZD440' also seems to be completing aerial survey work in the region once again with it noted flying out of and into various locations last week and again into this week including Gayndah, Emerald, Biloela / Thangool and Rockhampton Airports.

Recently re-registered (operator) Vanguard Aviation (Machjet International) Cessna 525 CitationJet1 bizjet VH-DAA Calls into Rockhampton Airport - Plus More!

On Friday 8 November, recently re-registered (operator) Vanguard Aviation (Machjet International) Cessna 525 CitationJet1 bizjet VH-DAA arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Archerfield via Chinchilla Aerodrome.

UPDATE!  On Saturday 9 November, VH-DAA departed Rockhampton Airport for Archerfield.

Meanwhile, also on Friday 8 November, Machjet International Hawker Beechcraft B200 Super King Air VH-8UY as "Machflight 55" arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Cairns and then later departed to Brisbane.  It then returned North.

Link Airways (Corporate Air / Vee H Aviation) Metro 23 turboprop VH-VEK was noted departing Gladstone Airport for Brisbane.  It looks to have arrived from Brisbane via the 'usual' stop at Biloela / Thangool Airport

BPW Aviation / Airspeed Aviation Beech 58 Baron VH-SQC arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Townsville and then departed to Emerald Airport and then Brisbane.  It seems to have flown up to Townsville from Brisbane the previous day. 

Western Downs Civil (Chinchilla) Raytheon B200 King Air VH-85H which flew west to Alice Springs via Moura Aerodrome on Monday, returned from the West to Moura Aerodrome and then back Archerfield. 

And new Victoria based C Alizzi P/L DAHER SOCATA TBM700N 900 VH-TB9, flew up to Hamilton Island Airport from Ballarat.  It was registered in August and previously wore the American Aircraft Registration marking of N883PA.

UPDATE!  On Monday 11 November, VH-TB9 departed Hamilton Island Airport for Ballarat.

Eagle One Aviation (Navair Flight Operations) Cessna 525B CitiationJet CJ3+ Bizjet VH-X8X "Navair 131" Pops into Mackay Airport - Plus More!

On Wednesday 31 July, Eagle One Aviation (Navair Flight Operations) Cessna 525B CitiationJet CJ3+ bizjet VH-X8X as "Navair 131" visited Mackay Airport from Bankstown and Cessnock.

Falconair (NSW) Dassault 900 Falcon Mystere bizjet VH-CAD flew into Hamilton Island Airport from Bankstown.  It then departed to Melbourne (Essendon).

And McDermott Aviation Group / Machjet International Cessna 525A CitationJet CJ2 bizjet VH-SUY as "Machflight 421" arrived into Rockhampton Airport from the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane and then departed to Mackay and Townsville.

Meanwhile, also on Wednesday 31 July, Seair Pacific (Istlecote) Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX VH-LYI flew up from Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport to Middlemount Aerodrome.  It then flew back down to Maryborough Airport and then Hervey Bay Airport.

Harris Aviation Charters / Aero-Star Aviation (SA) Beech B300 Super King Air 350 VH-8HA flew from Toowoomba to Moura Aerodrome and back before then flying to Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport and Winton and then back to Toowoomba. 

Daniadel Aviation Robinson R44 helicopter VH-KAA flew up from Archerfield to Biloela / Thangool Airport and then Mackay Airport. 

UPDATE!  On Friday 2 August, VH-KAA departed Mackay Airport and returned to Archerfield, again flying via Biloela.

And Noosa Air Aviation Robinson R44 helicopter VH-KLW arrived into Rockhampton Airport from the Sunshine Coast then departed to Mackay Airport and further to Townsville. 

UPDATE!  On Thursday 1 August, VH-KLW flew back down the coast, returning to the Sunshine Coast.

Air Charter Services / Flight Options (Australia) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300 Bizjet VH-VKX Pops into Gladstone Airport - Plus More!

On Wednesday 17 July, Air Charter Services / Flight Options (Australia) Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300 bizjet VH-VKX visited Gladstone Airport from Brisbane.

While Teys Australia Cessna 525 Citation CJ2 bizjet VH-TEY arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Biloela / Thangool Airport.  It had flown up to Thangool Airport from Archerfield the previous day. 

UPDATE!  On Thursday 18 July, VH-TEY departed Rockhampton Airport for Archerfield.

LifeFlight (Aeromed) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-OFC "Ambulance 634" flew up from Brisbane to Mackay Airport and then to Townsville.

And Poolhurst Aviation Air Charter Services Pilatus PC-24 jet VH-VTF flew up from Moura Aerodrome to Emerald Airport.  It had flown up to Moura Aerodrome from Archerfield and Toowoomba the previous day.

UPDATE!  On Thursday 18 July, VH-VTF departed Emerald Airport for Saint George, Narrabri and Toowoomba.

Meanwhile, also on Wednesday 17 July, Austrek Aviation Beech B200 Super King Air VH-ZGD visited Moura Aerodrome from Toowoomba. 

AERgO Asset Management Beech B200 King Air VH-XGV as 'Navair 173' landed at Emerald Airport from Archerfield and then departed to Rockhampton Airport and back to Archerfield. 

Flight One (Services) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-UVH, which had flown up to the North-West during the morning from Archerfield and via Longreach Airport, landed at Emerald Airport from Elrose Airport and then flew down to the Sunshine Coast.

Poolhurst Aviation Air Charter Services Pilatus PC-12/47E VH-PDE landed at Planet Downs from Archerfield.

UPDATE!  On Thursday 18 July, VH-PDE departed Planet Downs and returned to Archerfield.

And Seair Pacific (Istlecote) Cessna 208 Caravan VH-TFB departed Labona for Middlemount Aerodrome before flying across to Rockhampton Airport then Maryborough Airport. It had arrived there over the weekend.

Plus Seair Pacific (Istlecote) Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX VH-LYI also departed Labona but for the Gold Coast. It too had arrived on the weekend.

Finally, late on Tuesday 16 July, Skytrans Airlines Dash-8-100 VH-QQC as 'SKP980' flew into Charters Towers Aerodrome from Cairns.

Local Embraer EMB-550 Legacy 500 Bizjet N142GZ Back in The Air out of Mackay Airport and Visiting a Couple of CQ Airports - Plus More!

On Monday 8 July, the locally-based Embraer EMB-550 Legacy 500 bizjet N142GZ was back in the air, noted departing Mackay Airport for Bundaberg Airport.  It then flew up to Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport before returning to Mackay Airport.

UPDATE!  On Thursday 11 July, N142GZ departed Mackay Airport for Proserpine Airport and then Bundaberg Airport before returning to Mackay Airport.

Meanwhile, also on Sunday 8 July, Seair Pacific / Istlecote Cessna 208 Caravan VH-TQI flew up from Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) and Maryborough Airports to Middlemount Aerodrome. It then flew across to Rockhampton Airport and then Lady Elliott Island.

New South Wales-based Cessna 182C Skylane VH-NLN departed Rockhampton Airport to Barcaldine Airport and then further to the North-West.  It had arrived yesterday from Moruya via Roma Airport.

FKG Air (Redjet Aviation) Hawker Beechcraft B200GT VH-FKB arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Toowoomba and the Sunshine Coast and later departed to Bundaberg Airport and the back to the Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba.

Rockhampton-based Peace Aviation Pilatus Britten-Norman BN2A-8 Islander VH-SLM, which flew to Mackay Airport from Rocky yesterday, departed there for Clermont Aerodrome and Quilpie. It then returned to Mackay Airport and then Rockhampton Airport.

Mackay-based Horizon Airways Flight Training Cessna 172RG VH-LDK flew across from there to Clermont Aerodrome and then down to Emerald Airport.

UPDATE!  On Friday 12 July, VH-LDK reversed the flight.

And Consolidated Pastoral Company P/L Cessna 421C Golden Eagle VH-UTC flew down from Darwin, Katherine, Newcastle Waters and Mount Isa to Biloela / Thangool Airport before then flying back up to Middlemount Aerodrome.

UPDATE!  On Tuesday 9 July, VH-UTC departed Middlemount Aerodrome for Mount Isa and Newcastle Waters.

Finally, late on Sunday 7 July, Machjet (Machjet International) Cessna 525A Citation CJ2 bizjet VH-ZIY as "Machflight 41" landed at Longreach Airport from Darwin then departed to Melbourne (Essendon).

National Jet Express (ex Cobham) Dash-8-Q400 Next Gen VH-IYJ Frist Visit to CQ at Moranbah Airport - Plus More!

On Monday 17 June, National Jet Express (ex Cobham) Dash-8-Q400 Next Gen VH-IYJ made its first visit to Central Queensland, calling into Moranbah Airport from Brisbane and Cairns as JTE1072/258.  It then returned to Cairns and Brisbane but as JTE259/1093.


VH-IYJ had flown across to Brisbane from Perth via Adelaide (as shown above) over the weekend and replaced fellow Dash-8-Q400 Next Gen VH-8QA which ferried out of Brisbane to Perth via Alice Springs for planned maintenance. 

UPDATE!  A photo has been added from Emerald Airport where it arrived late on Tuesday 18 June and stayed for the night.


The 'other' Dash-8-Q400 Next Gen VH-IYP continues to operate into CQ Airports from and back to Brisbane.

Meanwhile, also on Monday 17 June, Flight One (Services) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-UVH landed at Longreach Airport from Archerfield and then departed to Mount Isa. 

While fellow Flight One Australia Cessna 172 VH-NOE arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport and then departed to Archerfield.

Beech 95B55 Baron VH-8D8 visited Biloela / Thangool Airport from Toowoomba.

Hughes Aviation (Hughes Pastoral Group) (Gympie) Pilatus PC-12/47E NGX VH-8HP flew from Tierawoomba to Miranda Downs. 

UPDATE!  On Thursday 20 June, VH-8HP returned to Tierawoomba from Miranda Downs.

And Aerospatiale AS.355F1 helicopter VH-SEV "Media 21" flew down from Cairns to Charter Towers and Clermont Aerodromes and then further to the South.  It had flown North via Roma and Emerald Airports to Cairns at the end of last week.

Finally, also on Monday 17 June, Gulf Coast Aviation Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-KXM landed at Longreach Airport from Vanrook Station and then departed to the South-East.

New Pacific Helicopters (PNG) Airbus BK117D3 H145 Helicopter P2-PHD Pops into CQ Airports Heading North - Plus More!

On Thursday 13 June, new Pacific Helicopters (PNG) Airbus BK117D3 H145 helicopter P2-PHD was noted passing through a couple of Central Queensland Airports while heading up to Papua New Guinea (PNG).

It flew up from the Sunshine Coast to Rockhampton Airport and the Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport and then onwards to Mareeba.  It was due to continue into PNG on Friday 14 June.

Meanwhile, also on Thursday 13 June, ZephAir Australia Piper PA-34-220T Seneca VH-YSI as 'ZD440' flew down from Townsville to Mackay Airport and then to Biloela / Thangool Airport and then Bundaberg Airport for survey work.  It is due to continue to Tamworth and Canberra on Friday 14 June.

Torres Strait Air Pilatus Britten-Norman BN-2A-27 Islander VH-TRS landed at Emerald Airport from Watts Bridge then departed to Cairns. 

Eastern Air Services / Eastern Air Link Beech 58 Baron VH-SFC flew up to Hamilton Island Airport from its Port Macquarie base. 

UPDATE!  On Friday 14 June, VH-SFC departed Hamilton Island Airport for Archerfield.

Finally, also on Thursday 13 June, LifeFlight (Aeromed) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-OFB "Ambulance 624" flew up from Brisbane to Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport before then flying down to Rockhampton Airport and then back to Brisbane.

Port Macquarie Helicopters / Graham Aviation (Cairns) new Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-8DD landed at Bundaberg Airport from Sunshine Coast and then departed back to there. 

Stroud Aviation and Transportation (Boonah) / Navair Flight Operations Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-SHI as "Navair 173" visited Barcaldine Airport from Archerfield via Brisbane.

And MacKellar Mining Equipment Pty Ltd (Revesco Aviation) Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign bizjet VH-MMC flew up to Hamilton Island Airport from the Sunshine Coast. It is due to return to the Sunny Coast over the weekend.

Air Link (Dubbo) Cessna 510 Citation Mustang Bizjet VH-SEQ Pops into Rockhampton Airport - Plus More!

On Tuesday 13 February, Air Link (Dubbo) Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-SEQ passed through Rockhampton Airport while flying up from Archerfield and onwards to Mount Isa. It then returned to Rockhampton Airport and then departed back to Archerfield.

And MacKellar Mining Equipment Pty Ltd (Revesco Aviation) Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign bizjet VH-MMC visited the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site from the Sunshine Coast.

Meanwhile, also on Tuesday 13 February, the Queensland Police Service (Airwing) (State of Queensland) Raytheon B1900D VH-PSK flew down to Rockhampton Airport from Cairns and Townsville before later departing to Brisbane. It then flew back up to Townsville and Cairns.

The Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ flew up from Brisbane to Biloela / Thangool Airport before then departing to Kingaroy and then back to Brisbane.

Machjet (Machjet International) Beech B200C King Air VH-PUY as "Machflight 55" arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Labona before then departing back to there.  It later returned to Rockhampton Airport.

And Beech 95-B55 Baron VH-MYM visited Mackay Airport from its Gayndah Aerodrome base.

Finally, also on Tuesday 13 February, Skytrans Airlines Dash-8-300s VH-QQM and VH-QQL swapped over Rockhampton Airport out at Labona.  Skytrans Dash-8-100 VH-QQL as SKP778/523 flew into Rockhampton Airport from Labona before it departed to Townsville.

Machjet (Machjet International) Cessna 525 Citation CJ1 bizjet VH-SIY as "Machflight 41" Pops into Moranbah Airport - Plus More!

On Thursday 1 February, Machjet (Machjet International) Cessna 525 Citation CJ1 bizjet VH-SIY as "Machflight 41" was noted visiting Moranbah Airport from the Sunshine Coast via Brisbane.

And MacKellar Mining Equipment Pty Ltd (Revesco Aviation) Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign bizjet VH-MMC visited Emerald Airport from the Sunshine Coast.

Meanwhile, also on Thursday 1 February, Air Link Beech B200 King Air VH-ZOS departed the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site for Rockhampton Airport and then Archerfield.  It had arrived at Labona from Townsville at the start of the week.

Queensland Government (QGAir) Rescue (State of Queensland) Agusta AW139 helicopter VH-ESH was noted arriving into Emerald Airport from Archerfield.  It then departed to Townsville. 

Link Airways (Corporate Air / Vee H Aviation) Cessna 441 Conquest VH-VEJ flew up from Brisbane to Biloela / Thangool Airport and then Emerald Airport and then back to Brisbane. 

And Savannah LSA 19-2020 as "Savannah 2020" arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Iveragh and a bit later departed back to there.

Finally, also on Thursday 1 February, Qantas Freight (Pionair Australia) BAe 146-200(QT) VH-SFW departed Rockhampton Airport to Mackay Airport as QFA7422 but could not land there due to the weather.  It then returned to Rockhampton Airport and then later departed to Brisbane as QFA7425.

Torres Strait Air Pilatus Britten-Norman BN2A-21 Islander VH-URJ Ferries South via CQ Airports - Plus More!

On Monday 29 January, Torres Strait Air Pilatus Britten-Norman BN2A-21 Islander VH-URJ arrived into Emerald Airport from Charters Towers Aerodrome. It then departed to Biloela / Thangool Airport and Watts Bridge where it will undergo planned maintenance.

VH-URJ had flown into Charters Towers Aerodrome the previous day from Horn Island, Coen and Mareeba.

Meanwhile, also on Monday 29 January, Flight One (Services) Beech B200 King Air VH-FON as "Navair 170" flew up from Archerfield and the Sunshine Coast to the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site.  It then flew back to the Sunshine Coast and then to Archerfield.

Air Link Beech B200 King Air VH-ZOS visited Labona from Townsville.

Link Airways (Corporate Air / Vee H Aviation) Cessna 441 Conquest VH-VEJ visited Emerald Airport from Brisbane.

And BPW Aviation / Airspeed Aviation Cessna 441 Conquest II VH-EQU visited Mackay Airport from Quilpie.  It had flown into Quilpie from its Tamworth base the previous day.

Unexpected Emergency Landing at Rockhampton Airport by Brisbane-based Teys Australia Cessna 525 Citation CJ2 Bizjet VH-TEY - Plus More!

On Monday 15 January, Brisbane-based Teys Australia Cessna 525 Citation CJ2 bizjet VH-TEY made an unexpected visit into Rockhampton Airport.

The sleek little Citation was enroute from Archerfield to Townsville when it was forced to make a rapid descent and land at Rockhampton Airport due to the smell of smoke and the loss of its ESB(?).  

It landed safely and parked on the Northern Apron.  VH-TEY was on the ground for only 40 minutes and then departed to Townsville before later returning to Archerfield.

Meanwhile, also on Monday 15 January, the Queensland Police Service (Airwing) (State of Queensland) Cessna 208 Caravan VH-PSQ arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Brisbane before it then departed to Cairns.

Hughes Aviation (Hughes Pastoral Group) (Gympie) Pilatus PC-12//47E NGX VH-8HP flew down from Tierawoomba, near Nebo, to Archerfield and the Gold Coast.

UPDATE!  On Tuesday 16 January, VH-8HP flew back from the Gold Coast and Archerfield to Mackay Airport.

Air Link Piper PA-31-350 Navajo Chieftan VH-MZI visited Biloela / Thangool Airport from Archerfield.  It later departed Archerfield for Bankstown.

And Link Airways (Corporate Air / Vee H Aviation) Cessna 441 Conquest VH-VEJ visited Emerald Airport from Brisbane.  

Fellow Link Airways Metro 23 turboprop VH-VET visited Rockhampton Airport from Brisbane.

Of interest, Link Airways Metro 23 VH-VEK completed their Regular Passenger Transport (RPT) flight to Biloela / Thangool Airport.  Plus SAAB 340B VH-VEF completed their Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) closed passenger charter flight from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast and Theodore Aerodrome and back.  

There is a temporary hold on some Link Airways flights in and out of Bundaberg Airport at the moment.

Finally, also on Monday 15 January, The Redcliffe Aero Club Vulcanair (Partenavia) P.68C VH-VMV completed an aerial survey flight out of Rockhampton Airport before departing to Caloundra.  It had arrived into Rocky on Saturday 13 January and completed some flights on Sunday 14 January.

American Registered Private Gulfstream Aerospace G-VI Gulfstream G650ER Bizjet N168NW Pops into Hamilton Island Airport - Plus More!

On Sunday 24 December, American Registered Private Gulfstream Aerospace G-VI Gulfstream G650ER bizjet N168NW was noted arriving into Hamilton Island Airport from Cairns.

It was later noted returning back North.

UPDATE!  On Wednesday 27 December, N168NW returned to Hamo and was seen departing to Sydney.

While Air Gold Coast Cessna 525A CitationJet CJ2 bizjet VH-ZDM arrived into Hamiton Island Airport from the Gold Coast.  It then departed to the Ballina / Byron Bay Gateway Airport and then back to the Goldie.

McDermott Aviation Group / Machjet International Cessna 525C CitationJet CJ4 bizjet VH-PIY "Machflight 22" flew down from Hamilton Island Airport to the Sunshine Coast.  It appears to have earlier flown in from Hobart.

And LifeFlight (Aeromed) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-OFB "Ambulance 624" flew out to Longreach Airport from Brisbane before then flying across to Rockhampton Airport.  It then popped into Biloela / Thangool Airport and then back to Brisbane. 

Meanwhile, also on Sunday 24 December, Hally Aviation Cirrus SR22 VH-NWG visited Hedlow Airfield from the Sunshine Coast.

Wagga Air Centre (Mabena) Cessna 310R VH-TWN flew down from Cairns to Charleville Airport.

Private Piper PA-31 Navajo VH-DWX flew down from Cairns to Mackay Airport.

Townsville-based ZephAir Australia Piper PA-31-350 VH-MJA as "Zedair 110" visited Hamilton Island Airport from Townsville.

And State of New South Wales - Represented by the NSW Rural Fire Service / Coulson Aviation (Australia) Bell Helicopter Textron Canada 412EP helicopter VH-UCH as 'HT206' / "Helitack 206" flew back South from Cairns to Mackay Airport and then Gladstone Airport at the completion of its deployment to Far North Queensland to assist in the flood recovery.

UPDATE!  On Monday 25 December, it looked like VH-UCH "Helitack 206" continued down via all stops to Bankstown.

Finally, also on Sunday 24 December, during the afternoon, Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 VH-XWM operating as Virgin Australia flight VOZ1245 from Brisbane to Rockhampton Airport, suffered a technical problem on touch down at Rockhampton Airport.  Due to a problem with its hydraulic system, the Fokker was stuck on the Runway with passengers still on board.  After technicians arrived on scene, VH-XWM was towed off the Runway to the Gate.

And Graham Aviation (Cairns) Cessna 510 Citation Mustang Bizjet VH-FMZ Pops into Hamilton Island Airport - Plus More!

Also on Monday 4 December, Graham Aviation (Cairns) Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-FMZ visited Hamilton Island Airport from Mareeba and Cairns.



Brisbane-based Teys Australia Cessna 525 Citation CJ2 bizjet VH-TEY arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Archerfield and Biloela / Thangool Airport.

UPDATE! On Tuesday 5 December, VH-TEY departed Rockhampton Airport for Tamworth.

Sydney-based Hawker Beechcraft G36 Bonanza VH-JKL departed Rockhampton Airport for Archerfield and then Bankstown. It looked to have arrived late last month.

Bowenville (near Toowoomba) based Cessna 525 CitationJet CJ1+ bizjet VH-JSZ arrived into Mackay Airport from Archerfield, Dalby and Natal Downs.

And LifeFlight (Aeromed) Bombardier Challenger 604 bizjet VH-URR "Ambulance 604" had a busy day in the region yet again, flying into Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport from Brisbane before then flying up to Townsville and then back down to Mackay Airport and across to Emerald Airport before returning to Brisbane.

Falconair (NSW) Dassault 900 Falcon Mystere Bizjet VH-CAD Arrives into Hamilton Island Airport - Plus More!

On Thursday 23 November, the now becoming a familiar sight of Falconair (NSW) Dassault 900 Falcon Mystere bizjet VH-CAD called into Hamilton Island Airport again, this time from Bankstown via the Shellharbour Airport at Woolongong and Adelaide.

VH-CAD also visited Hamo last weekend!

UPDATE!  On Friday 24 November, VH-CAD departed Hamilton Island Airport for Brisbane, Sydney and Bankstown.

And the very familiar sight (almost daily visits) of LifeFlight (Aeromed) Bombardier Challenger 604 bizjet VH-URR "Ambulance 604" was back in CQ once again, this time calling to Mackay Airport from Brisbane.  It then flew up to Townsville and Cairns before calling into Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport and then back to Brisbane,

Meanwhile, also on Thursday 23 November, Brisbane-based Hewitt Cattle Australia P/L SOCATA TBM 700 VH-PGA landed at Alpha Aerodrome from Archerfield. It was also there from Ambilindum and Longreach Airport on Tuesday 21 November

UPDATE!  On Friday 24 November, VH-PGA departed Alpha Aerodrome and returned to Archerfield.

Telford Aviation Beech A36 Bonanza VH-MPT, which had landed at Biloela / Thangool Airport from Archerfield yesterday, departed there for Moura Aerodrome and then to Springsure Aerodrome.  It then looked to continue to Emerald Airport.

UPDATE!  On Friday 24 November, VH-MPT departed Emerald Airport for Roma Airport and the Sunshine Coast and Archerfield.

Brescon (Toowoomba) Beech B200 King Air VH-XDW arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Toowoomba-Wellcamp and then departed to Thargomindah and back to Wellcamp. 

Beech 58 Baron VH-JCJ departed its Toowoomba base for Rockhampton Airport and then Hamilton Island Airport. 

UPDATE!  On Wednesday 29 November, VH-JCJ departed Hamilton Island Airport and returned to Toowoomba.

Finally, also on Thursday 23 November, Qantas Freight (Pionair Australia) BAe 146-200(QT) VH-SFW departed Rockhampton Airport for Brisbane after arriving into Rocky early on Tuesday morning and presumably encountering a technical problem.

LifeFlight (Aeromed) Bombardier Challenger 604 Bizjet VH-URR "Ambulance 604" Calls into Rockhampton Airport - Re-Painted!! - Plus More!

On Thursday 16 November, LifeFlight (Aeromed) Bombardier Challenger 604 bizjet VH-URR "Ambulance 604" arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Townsville. It then departed to Brisbane.


VH-URR "Ambulance 604" is once becoming a regular visitor to the region since it spent time overseas and visiting various Australian cities over the last few months.  It has also been re-painted and was photographed recently at Toowoomba-Wellcamp Airport as shown above!

Meanwhile, also on Thursday 16 November, Townsville-based ZephAir Australia Piper PA-34-220T Seneca VH-YSI as "Zedair 440" landed at Biloela / Thangool Airport from Gayndah Aerodrome and then departed to Townsville.

Seair Pacific (Istlecote) Cessna 208 Caravan VH-LYI flew up from the Gold Coast to the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site.  It then flew down to Rockhampton Airport before returning to the Gold Coast.

Machjet (Machjet International) Beech B200C King Air VH-PUY arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Labona before later returning out there.  It then flew up to Cairns. 

Austrek Aviation Beech B200 King Air VH-ZMW landed at Emerald Airport from Toowoomba.  It then departed to Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport and then back to Toowoomba. 

The Queensland Police Service (Airwing) (State of Queensland) Raytheon B1900D VH-PSK flew into Rockhampton Airport from Cairns and Townsville.  It then departed to Brisbane.

And Victoria-based Piper PA-31-350 Navajo Chieftain VH-LHF flew down from Hamilton Island Airport for Chinchilla Aerodrome.  It had flown up to North Queensland the previous week.

Finally, also on Thursday 16 November, National Jet Express (formerly Cobham) Dash-8-Q400 Next Gen VH-IYK made its first visit into Rockhampton Airport as it completed the recently started Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) run from and back to Brisbane as JTE392/3.

Navair Flight Operations Embraer EMB-500 Phenom 100 Bizjet VH-LXZ Calls into Mackay and Emerald Airports - Plus More!

On Friday 20 October, Navair Flight Operations Embraer EMB-500 Phenom 100 bizjet VH-LXZ as "Navair 169" flew up to Mackay Airport from Bankstown.  It then flew down to Emerald Airport, Bourke and then Melbourne (Essendon).

And Arcturus Group P/L / Flight Options (Australia) Dassault Falcon 2000EX bizjet VH-EWB arrived into Hamilton Island Airport.

UPDATE!  On Tuesday 24 October, VH-EWB departed Hamilton Island Airport and returned to Sydney.

Meanwhile, also on Friday 20 October, the Queensland Police Service (Airwing) (State of Queensland) Raytheon B1900D VH-PSK arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Cairns and Townsville and then departed to Brisbane. 

The Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Brisbane and then departed to Townsville. 

While the Queensland Government (QGAir) Rescue Agusta AW139 helicopter VH-EZJ landed at Emerald Airport from Townsville. It then departed to Archerfield possibly for planned maintenance.

Skytrans Airlines Dash-8-100 VH-QQG as SKP541 departed Rockhampton Airport for Brisbane. 

Townsville-based ZephAir Australia Piper PA-34-220T Seneca VH-YSI as "Zedair 440" landed at Biloela / Thangool Airport from Mackay Airport.

And four lighties popped into Gladstone Airport heading in different directions including Piper PA-32R VH-LTC, Cessna 182R VH-JCU, Beech 36 VH-DYH and Cessna 177 VH-DZR.

Finally, also on Friday 20 October, Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 VH-UQG as UTY4031 arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Townsville and Hamilton Island Airports.  It then departed to Alice Springs on a closed tourist charter. 


UPDATE!  On Sunday 22 October, the Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 VH-UQG this time as UTY4032 arrived back into Rockhampton Airport from Ayers Rock.  It then departed to Hamilton Island and Townsville Airports.

MacKellar Mining Equipment Pty Ltd (Revesco Aviation) Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign VH-MMC Calls into a Couple of CQ Airports - Plus More!

On Tuesday 10 October, MacKellar Mining Equipment Pty Ltd (Revesco Aviation) Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign bizjet VH-MMC visited the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site from the Sunshine Coast.

While Austrek Aviation Cessna 310R VH-DZU flew up from Toowoomba to Maryborough Airport and then Emerald Airport before then returning to Toowoomba.

And Rural Funds Management (A.C.T.) Pilatus PC-12/47E VH-STE returned to the region, flying up from Canberra and Sydney to Maryborough Airport before it then flew to Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) and back to Maryborough Airport before finishing the day at Rockhampton Airport.

UPDATE!  Over the remainder of the week, VH-STE visited areas around Springsure and Rolleston before returning to Canberra and then later flying back into the region and again calling into the Fraser Coast region airports once again.

Finally, on Monday 9 October, Metro Holdings Australia (Air Link - Dubbo) Textron Aviation (Cessna) 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-SQV visited Rockhampton Airport from Archerfield.

Brisbane-based Avcair Cessna 425 Conquest 1 VH-BSM looked to fly up from Toowoomba and Archerfield to Biloela / Thangool Airport before later returning to Archerfield.

The Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ landed at Longreach Airport from Brisbane.  It later departed to Mount Isa.

And Brisbane-based Crockett Aviation Group Beech B200 King Air VH-FAQ as "Navair 173" visited the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site from Archerfield.

Bowenville-based Cessna 525 CitationJet CJ1+ Bizjet VH-JSZ Pops into a Couple of CQ Airports - Plus More!

On Monday 14 August, Bowenville (near Toowoomba) based Cessna 525 CitationJet CJ1+ bizjet VH-JSZ flew across from Hamilton Island Airport to Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport before it then flew to Sydney and Archerfield.

It had flown up to Hamo from Archerfield on Saturday 12 August

Meanwhile, also on Monday 14 August, RDO Equipment Co. Pilatus PC-12/47 VH-WPH visited Biloela / Thangool Airport from Toowoomba.

While Parklea (Air Services) (of Victoria) Agusta AW109SP helicopter VH-CZT arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Hamilton Island Airport before it then departed to Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport and Noosa.

And Brisbane-based Blesk Aviation Bell Helicopter Textron 429 helicopter VH-SUV arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Hamilton Island Airport before it then too departed to Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport and then Archerfield.  It had flown up from Archerfield to pop into Bundaberg and Rockhampton Airports before continuing to Hamilton Island Airport on Thursday 10 August.

Finally, also on Monday 14 August, Skytrans Airlines Dash-8-100 VH-QQG arrived into Rockhampton Airport from Cairns as SKP523.  It is expected to take up operations between Rocky and the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site.

And QantasLink (Alliance Airlines) Embraer E-190 VH-XVL flew into Rockhampton Airport from Brisbane as QFA1907 before it then departed back to the capital as QFA7881.

Great Western Aviation Beech B200 King Air VH-XGV Pops into Labona Airstrip within the Carmichael Coal Mine Site - Plus More!

On Wednesday 9 August, Great Western Aviation Beech B200 King Air VH-XGV as "Navair 173" visited the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's (Bravus Mining & Resources) Carmichael Coal Mine site from Archerfield.  


While the Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ visited Rockhampton Airport from Mount Isa.

Re-registered Poolhurst Aviation Air Charter Services Pilatus PC-12/47E VH-PDE flew up to Planet Downs from Archerfield.

UPDATE!  On Friday 11 August, VH-PDE departed Planet Downs and returned to Archerfield.

And RDO Equipment Co. Pilatus PC-12/47 VH-WPH called into Biloela / Thangool Airport from Toowoomba, Goondiwindi and Archerfield before later returning to its Toowoomba base.
