♥ The Gift of Staying at Home

“Christian motherhood means dedicating your entire life in service of others. It means standing beside your husband, following him, and investing in the lives of children whom you hope will both survive you and surpass you. It means forgoing present satisfaction for eternal rewards. It means investing in the lives of others who may never fully appreciate your sacrifice or comprehend the depth of your love. And it means doing all these things, not because you will receive the praise of man — for you will not — but because God made you to be a woman and a mother, and there is great contentment in that biblical calling.” ~ Doug Phillips

“Oh that God would give every mother a vision of the glory and splendor of the work that is given to her when a babe is place in her bosom to be nursed and trained! Could she have but one glimpse in to the future of that life as it reaches on into eternity; could she look into its soul to see its possibilities; could she be made to understand her own personal responsibility for the training of this child, for the development of its life, and for its destiny,--she would see that in all God's world there is no other work so noble and so worthy of her best powers, and she would commit to no others hands the sacred and holy trust given to her.”

Wondering if you should be a SAHM? I am a huge advocate for women to stay at home, keep the house, care for their children and husband and if possible ~ homeschool!

A post I wrote you may enjoy reading....For the Love of Homemaking and Routines

Although I don't agree with *everything* the author says in this link....I do think he has some good points. Read HERE. :)  **But please know, I realize that not every woman has this option available to them. I just like to encourage it when I can...because it *is* such a blessing!

A Godly mother has her priorities right in relation to her time and children. “Her husband should be the primary benefactor of his wife’s time and energy, not the recipient of what may be left over at the end of the day. Whether her husband is a faithful Christian man or an unbeliever, God wants every Christian woman to be a Godly wife~an excellent wife.” ~ Martha Peace
