Wishes for the New Year...

Wasn't it just yesterday that we were ringing in 2012?

They say time flies when you're having fun.  That may be true, however, time flies no matter how you're spending your days...good or bad.

The last two years have been somewhat a blur.  No complaints, just reality.  In this household we have learned to make the most of each day.  When the days are good we enjoy them and when they are bad, we get through them.  Hopefully, learning as we go.

Once again, there will be no resolutions.  How about wishes?  Such as...stitching more, reading more, walking more and more time with loved ones.  Simple enough but don't the little wishes bring contentment?  And one large wish...to educate the public on how to connect with someone suffering from dementia.

So much more to be said...perhaps, better left for another day.  For now I will leave you with "wishes" for a Happy New Year!

What are your wishes for 2015?

Joy, how nice to see your post
on this last day of 2014!
I hope your list of wishes comes true.
I'm wishing for the ability to appreciate
each new day. Sometimes I get too hung
up on regrets and worries.
I wish to practice gratitude every day.
Life is speeding by, and I need to cherish
this next year, even though
challenges are ahead.
Please know that I think of you
and your situation. Take time for yourself
when you can. Looking forward
to your bits of joy. Hugs, Sandy

Bowled over...

With the thought anyone would stitch a design over and over...let alone seven times!  This is not my stitching and I normally don't share the stitching of others.  Although, I did finish the witch seven times.  No, I won't stitch a bowl of wee witches, but I would stitch more than one if I knew who the designer was. Do you stitch a design more than once?

Ending and beginning. . .

Each new year fills my heart with reflections on the old and expectations for the new.  While taking down the tree this morning, thoughts of  "Will I always put up a tree?" came to mind.  How could I not?  Each ornament has its own story to tell. Even Annie was a little sad to see the tree go. . . However, starting the new year stitching was a perfect way to bring in 2012.  Thank you Beth ( Heartstring Samplery ) for providing this lovely little chart .  Will you make new memories and remember the old?
