CX build
Quiet on here as the prez is away in France at the Southsiders 'Wheels and Waves' party. Looks like a proper blast but I'm sure you've already seen the internet collapsing under the weight of photos of slamming bikes in the sunshine. I was set to go also but a job came in and that took over. Before the trip though I've been fixing up a honda cx500 which malco is piloting and by all accounts, looking after it. CX's are a bit in-vogue at the mo which is a shame but anyway; here's some build shots.
I feel like Bubblevisor with all these shots! Think I cursed the bike as literally this second, I got the call - "it's broken down". Crap. Collectively, cross your fingers for the Corpses in France (and everywhere else for that matter). Will be right.
Epic riding shots from France coming soon, plus a video of the amazing tank paint.

BSA B33 500cc
I'ts currently out of action, so instead of riding it I took photos of it. I have this alien tank that I have not used so out of curiosity I offered it up to the bike to check the appearance. Personally I hate it on the BSA.
The original tank is currently a test pad for paint lol

Real livin
Freedom, the open road. Riding into the sunset. Travelling the land discovering new places. That's the dream.
The reality is a trip to Shepherds Bush Post Office, to find a massive queue of people on a grey winter day.
A 3 minute ride yeilds 1 request for the age of the bike, wailed from the window of a white van.

Adjustment's
I got this new Haifley Brothers seat and p-pad from Lowbrow Customs. I can ditch the home made one, which is fine, but it's upholstered with gaffa tape and an old handbag. I hope this Haifley one looks good on the bike, the bracket and position will be different.

Back in business.
The piston got torched previosly, I had trouble finding a replacement as it had a long rod high comp one in there, any b series owners may know that most stuff like that is for the short rod later versions. I managed to track down a +40 piston at a sane price from Petes classic bike parts in the Netherlands. The previous piston was a strange one as it was an actual BSA piston (not Hepolite or etc), and since getting this new one I now realise it was like 8:1 cr, wheras the one I got to replace it is 8.5:1. Hope thats not going to cause problems!.This one is a MC cast piston. It has a skirt seperation slot which the other one didn't so hopefully that will make it less likely to nip up.
I spent ages trying to fit the final circlip in, then I could not get it to seat, after ages I realised I was putting it in the side that already had a circlip!
I hate doing the timing, 7/16" btdc. It took ages to do, only to realise I made the mistake of setting it to 7/16" after tdc! 2'nd error of the day. Set it to the reccomended 7/16"btc fully advanced, but seems to me ike there's a lot of variables to simply set the pionts to .002 @ 7/16" btdc. What about mag pinion play and stuff.
Stagger the ring gaps, none on the thrust side bla bla.

CFH BSA 2
Hi there
A small video of the bike being run. Still need to fix the idle and needs tinkering with but it ran.

CFH BSA
It runs!! Got the oil tank cleaned, gearbox oil'd, temporary fuel tank rigged up to test, makeshift throttle cable for now. After many kicks and a thrashed leg and foot, I managed to get the thing to start. Nice one.

Work on the BSA
Fit in a day on the BSA. I managed to install the nos rear brake components so I now have a rear brake. Also realised that a Yoke I bought for 30 quid was a total waste of money. Its identical to the m20 one but with a 1" stem diameter instead of 1 1/8" which I need. Must be of a c11 or something. The b series yoke I have on there Does not hit the steering stops on the frame. Wanted - 1 BSA M20 bottom yoke.

Decision's decisions
Girder or teles, I have girder blades and yokes that need a shed load of bits + a front wheel. On the other hand I have a set of teles with front wheel. But they need to come apart and may need new bits too. Girder = mega cool but mega pricey. Teles = quite cool and fairly affordable. I spose teles for now and do the girder in the meantime. If anyone has any girder links or a girder front wheel let me know cheers. BTW the links in the picture don't fit.

1 step forwards, 2 steps back.
I got the cases back from being helicoiled and stuff. Good clean up, nicely assembled. Now the oil pump is super tight. I completely dismantled it and cleaned it. theres no sign of distortion. The pump is so tight it hinders the rotation of the crank. Also somebody cut the cylinder head steady mounting ear off the head, so no mounting point for a head steady. BSA M20 M33 B33
