Delightful Fairies

Hi Everyone,

Tracy here and this is my last post for Copic Marker Europe for the time being.  Since opening up the Noor Design UK Shop I haven't had as much time to play with my copics as I would like, so I have decided to step down.  It wasn't an easy decision as I have been with the team since the very beginning and  I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your visits and comments.

I have coloured up these two gorgeous Whimsy Fairies by Sylvia Vet, aren't they sweet and perfect for my Mushroom card.

Colouring Red using E29 for Shading

Hi Everyone,

Tracy here.  I thought with Christmas around the corner I would show you how I colour red using E29 for the shading.

The image is by Mo Manning.  Today I'm using R35, R37, RV29 and E29 for the shading.

As the mushroom is round both the left and the right side will be shadowed.

Start with R35 and lay down some colour.

Add some shadow on the left and under the spots using R37

Blend out using the R35 again

Using E29 lay down some shadows remembering to shadow under the white circles and along the edge.

Using the R37 and this time work away from the where the E29 ends and colour towards the E29.  This will ensure that you don't pick up the E29 and drag it out.  We want to create deep shadows to give your image definition.

To ensure you don't pick up the E29 you can swipe your marker after each stroke onto a scrap piece of paper.

Blend out using R35 to give a smooth gradient.

Create shadows over the new white circles and the edge of the mushroom.

Lay down some R37 under the E29.

Add RV29 under the R37

Blend out using R35

Repeat the process on the right had side starting once again with R35.

Reds: R35, R37, RV29, E29
Skin V20, E000, E00, E11, E3 and R20/R22 for bush
Dress and Flower RV99, RV95, RV93, RV000
Inside mushroom W9, W7, W5, W1, W00

Flower Postcard

Hi Everyone,

Tracy here and I am running a little late.  I'm usually very organised but I've had a busy month opening my new Noor!DesignUK Shop, yayyyy.

So onto my card.  I have coloured up this beautiful stamp which does happen to be by Noor!Design but I do love the stamps.  I have chosen to work with the V collection of copics and have a few photo's to share with you.

The stamps are actually easy to colour as the shading has already been done for you.

The complimentary diecut flower is from the latest Noor!Design release and I have used the die as a stencil and added dutch doobadoo structure paste, love love this stuff.

On the postcard itself I coloured randomly on the remaining white sections using BG0000, BV0000 and BV02.

You can check out my BLOG tomorrow for all the dies and embellishment links.

I hope I have inspired you.  Have a great weekend.

Copic Ingredients:-

Flower V17, V15, V12, BV0000

Background BG0000, BV02, BV0000 and for the shading I added some V12 and N3

Dashing Through The Snow

Hello Everyone,

I have a christmas card to share with you and it's only August, lol, I blame Lili of the Valley myself for bringing out such cute stamps, lol.

This little chap is dashing through the snow or hurtling more like.  I have used the new Marianne Design Window Die to make a winter scene.

I made an Aperture with the window and added accetate so I could attach the snow die cuts.  The tree is also a Marianne Design die with some snow tex added for texture.

This is what it looks like on the inside.  It's very difficult to photograph as the accetate reflects the light.

Here is the little chap with a little chunky white frantage dotted around.

All the papers used are from Michelle Roos Digital Paper Collection and I used Winter Frost.

The next picture looks wonky but it's not really, just the angle that I took the picture from.

Copics Used:-

Skin E00, E000, E11, E04 Blush R20
Blues B91, B93, B95, B97
Snow/White BG0000, BG000, C5, C3, C1
Browns E53, E50, E49, E47, E44, E43, E40, E31, E25

Izzy's Stroll

Hi Everyone,

Not my usual style I'm afraid.  When I made this card for CHA last month I was struggling with RSI in my arm, so it was really painful but as it was for CHA it needed to be done, so I'm sorry my colouring isn't up to its usual standard.

The image is the new release by Candibean called Izzy's Stroll and is available from  Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.  I have also used the Petals and Lace  6x6 paper pad also available from Little Darlings.

The sentiment is from the new release also, it comes in a set and is called Vintage Affections Vintage Birthday.

Copic Markers:-
V17, V15, V12, V00
YG67, YG63, G99, G20
E00, E000, E11, R20
C5, C3, C1, C00
E25, E31, E50

Tutorial - Colouring Brickwork

Hi Everyone,

Hope you have all enjoyed your Christmas and are ready to get back into crafting.  I thought I would share with you how I colour brickwork.  The bricks from where I live have quite a lot of red in them, so I have chosen E09, E19, E13, E55, E53.

I'm starting with E09 and have added a little at each end of the brick.

I next lay down some E13

Then E55

And lastly E53

I return to where I started but this time I have decided to add in some E19

Blend out with E13 towards the middle starting at each end.  The middle of the brick will be the lightest

Finally blend out with E53

This process needs to be repeated for each brick. I know this is time consuming but it will give the most realistic result.

Here's all the bricks coloured.  You can go in and add further shading where you want

I went in to colour the cement with W5 and added some touches to the bricks, can you see the difference by just added a touch of W5.

Finally here's a finished card.  The image is called Christmas Eve by Make It Crafty, he's certainly a cheeky Santa and was perfect for the male recipient.  The papers are from the Maya Design Frost Basics 6x6 paper pad.

Happy New Year Everyone.
