Considering how much of an anime fan I am, I had to post about how ignorant this comment was.

Rep. Nick Levasseur (D-Manchester) made a comment on Facebook about anime and the Japanese in general that can be seen as rather xenophobic. Let WMUR-TV enlighten you in this clip. (h/t FARK.com)

Now, even as an otaku (anime and manga fan), there are some aspects of Japanese culture that still kind of have me shaking my head. But this was an incredibly stupid thing to say. Because we know that if a Republican had said it there would be calls for his job.

Two Year Anniversary! Yay!

March 10 marked the two year anniversary of ConChrist -- this is just the first chance I've had to post about it.

Since then, my son has become a happy, healthy 18 month old, and I still don't have a job. But I'm close to the degree, so hopefully this time next year I'll be either in my own classroom or substituting and tutoring.

Thanks to everyone who has read me over the past two years (and putting up with my lapses in posting as of late -- school couldn't be helped). This is a great ride for me, and I hope that it can continue.
