Ali vs Frazier

These two legends would meet at Madison Square Garden in NYC.  Called the "Fight of the Century" by the media, a scheduled 15 round fight for the  Heavyweight championship of the world,.  Ali was in just his 3rd fight after 2 and 1/2 year absence due to being stripped of the title for refusing  induction into the US Army.

Joe Frazier would win a unanimous 15 round decision to become the new champion.  This was the first  of 3 fights between Ali & Frazier, the "Super Fight II" 1974 and "Thrilla in Manilla" in 1975.  Ali would win both of those bouts.

My Record Collection

I am going to start randomly going into my record collection and grabbing an album and give some info about it and hopefully posting some of the songs.

Today we start with Charley Pride's 1971 album "Charley Pride Sings Heart Songs"

The album went to #1 on the Billboard Country chart but only to #38 on the Top 200 album chart.  However it did produce what has become a country standard and Charley Pride's signature song "Kiss an Angel Good Morning".  He made it to  #1 on the hot country chart, spending the entire month of January in the top spot. This was his 8th #1 country hit and his first to his only song to Billboard Top 40 pop hit going to #21 and also reaching #1 on the Canadian country singles chart.
