Monday Chit Chat
Yes, I did some more rainbow doily crochet. This one I like much better! I designed it saturday, when I sat next to my little sick ckicky all day. (Yes, sick AGAIN). I love this and you?
I have a million things to do, but I just can't help myself. Sometimes I just need to design something new. Although I can think of lots of 'better' things to do, I cannot imagine anything BETTER than THIS...
I had to make some more Crochet Coasters for the Sunday Market next sunday. They tend to keep making me happy, because they're so pretty. And I always feel like making more in different colors.
I just made my first post for the Craft Cafe, a series on the lovely Heart Handmade UK blog that I contribute to. You'll have to be patient, since it's going to be published in August... But I will let you know by then.
Well, a short one this monday. It was so stormy and rainy today, but now the sun is shining! Oh how I love Summer!! Have a hooky day!

Crochet Cushion Tutorial
As promised, today my Cushion Cover Tutorial is finally available in the Color 'n Cream Shop. This is the pretty example I've used in the Tutorial. Isn't she a beauty? I actually love this small cushion. I think I'll make more. They are sooo cute! If you're interested in the cushion itself, keep an eye on Facebook. I'll let you know once it's available.
And of course, this is what all the ado is about. The back... I might even like it better than the front. What do you think? And the fabric is to die for! I bought it in Chiang Mai 2 years ago and still have some meters left.
I got my first custom order this morning. I'm so very excited!! I will keep you posted on this one. It's gonna be lovely and something else from what I did before, but still very Color 'n Creamy.
Ahh, how I love this cushion. If you would like to make your own, check out the Crochet Pattern for the Flower Square, and use my free Joining Solid Squares Tutorial to make the front panel and back strip.
I totally forgot to tell you about the Amsterdam Maker Festival!! I made these coasters to take along with the others, last week. I really love the pink pretties...
Yes, these will shine on my own coffee table too. Aren't they sweet? The festival was fun. I met a lot of nice and talented makers and saw some beautiful and original stuff. I especially liked the work of Renske Versluijs. Beautiful leather and knit accessories! And her pastel color pallet... I stopped and stared at all that beauty.
Sadly, it was very quiet in the visitors department, so I sold close to nothing. But, I had a wonderful day and met some great people. Oh and did I tell you I was invited to attend a Craft Market in Sweden??!! More about that next week!
For now, have a color and creamy weekend!

Coaster Fun
Friday is my favorite day of the week. People are always more cheerful and everybody is excited that the weekend is almost starting. Do you recognize this feeling?
This friday is extra happy, 'cause my man came back from his kite surfing trip and today we are whole as a family again. My little one is still quite sick, but I'm not alone anymore, so we can do it together. I can relax a little...
And my coasters are almost done! I made about 15 sets of 4. The coasters in my shop will be available in sets of 4 too, instead of 6. But I will do that later on...
Anywho, enjoy your weekend! Spend some quality time together. Oh, and I have mothers' day this sunday, because we postponed it. Looking forward to that...

Flower Coaster Tutorial II
I've been working on it for a while, but it's done now! The Flower Coaster II Tutorial. It's in my shop as of today. You can find it here. Go over and have a look!
It's of the same quality as my previous tutorial, the Flower Coaster I and has a little addition. I've included photo's on the finishing of. You will be able to finish of like I do; without visual beginning or end.
My little one came home sick the yesterday. She has an ear infection and both didn't get a lot of sleep last night... I think we'll spend the day watching cartoons or Disney Classics on the couch. With my hook and yarn ready off course...
Have a happy weekend!

Sold
I'm very excited! I sold my first Cushion Cover, and to no one less then Claire from Heart Handmade UK! I really love her blog on interior styling. It's so inspiring and pastel. She takes the prettiest pictures...
And so I wrapped the Cushion Cover (all my products get wrapped as a present when sold), crocheted a few flowers to go along and sent it on its way. All the way to the UK.
The funny thing is, it got sold before it even hit the shelves of my Etsy Shop. We were in contact because she bought some of my Flower Coasters and she told me how much she loved my new Cushion Cover. I was so very flattered! And that was that. Sold!
It's kinda sad it won't shine in my shop for a while though. I love to see all my products in a row. It always cheers me up. All those pretty colors...
Well, that was it for the update today. Hope you have a sunny day as I am having.

Friday Fun
Been having some fun with my new Flower Coaster Pattern. Think it's very pretty and flowery...
They are all available in my Etsy shop. They are all limited editions.
I also promised you the results of my new flower square project. This is it! It's very soft in color (for my standards anyway). It will also be available in my shop.
I like the back too. This is lovely fabric, isn't it? Oh, and there will be a tutorial on the Flower Square sometime too.
Well, that's it for now. It's almost weekend, but I'm laying in bed, a bit under the weather...
Have a flowery day!

And The Winner Is...
First of all, thanks for all the big compliments on the Flower Coaster Pattern. It's very uplifting to read all those nice comments and to see my pattern being so well received. Makes it all worth it! Because I had so many comments on this give-away and because I was one give-away short in february, I decided to give away two Flower Coaster Patterns today. The funny thing is, both my girls picked a name from a bowl and both of them picked a Kelly. So it's KELLY and KELLY PATRICK. Congratulations!! I will email you guys the PDF Pattern and hope you enjoy it.
For the ones that entered but didn't win; you can buy the Flower Coaster Pattern here. And remember, this is my first PDF tutorial, so if you have suggestions or complaints, please let me know.
I've been busy working on some new coasters. This pattern will probably be available in april. How do you like it? It's nice and firm and I love all the flower petals.
Got real far on the squares from this weekend. Actually the crochet is done, just need to sew some fabric on to make it a cushion cover. I really like the results. I'll show you soon (probably wednesday).
I had a lovely weekend, and it didn't rain as much as 'they' predicted. It was quite sunny actually. And I had a great time with my girls and without my man for a change. I had fun, but am glad it was only for the weekend. It does always feel a bit incomplete...
Well, I'll keep you posted on the progress. Have a passionate day!

Doily Love
I've never finished one before. I did start one or two some time ago, but then I didn't experience crocheting doilies as fun. Now I do!! And how!
It's very nice to see something growing by just going along. I also love that there are only a few loose ends to finish of, don't you? Although I must admit, doilies do take lots of time. Especially the yellow was quite time consuming. I really love the result though! Don't you?
And although vintage doilies often feel a little bit dusty to me, I love that when you use a bright modern color, all the dust disappears and everything white is instantly pretty. I have 2 white tables and, in stead of boring, they look so sunny now.
I used this pattern for the yellow ( I did make it a little smaller) and used this doily as an example for the pink one. The multicolored one I designed myself and is this months GIVE-AWAY!
If you'd like to win the give-away, just leave a comment below and make sure it's possible for me to contact you. I will announce the winner tuesday the 21st.
Before I leave you, I couldn't resist to show you a pic of what's going to be in my shop... Coasters!!! Among some other things. This pic makes me very HAPPY!
I'm taking my little one on a trip this week, so when I don't respond to your comment, you know why. Hope you all have a very colorful monday!
