Mini Miss Rodeo Princess Tryouts

One of the highlights of our trip back home this summer was the Mini & Little Miss Rodeo Princess Tryouts.

All the girl cousins on the Hunt side tried out with their stick horses.
The girls named each of their horses and Talya named hers, "Jessie". After I persuaded her that Jessica was probably not the best choice but Jessie was an awesome name!
I just love this picture of them altogether! Such cute cousins.

Natalya won 1st attendent to the Mini Miss Princess. It took a little convincing at first to participate but after she won she was all into it. She got to: ride on the float in the 24th of July Parade, do a Grand Entry ride on "Jessie" at the Little-Buck-a- Roo Rodeo, and then that night ride in the gator at the Enterprise Rodeo.

Hurried really fast back from the beginning of the Parade to watch the end of the parade with her cousins.

Lehman's Cave

On a Saturday in July, we took a road trip with Grandma Bracken and the McOmie's to Lehman's Cave. This was a first for me and the kids. It reminded me a lot of a couple of the caves we have been to back in Minnesota. We stopped at Catheral State Park near Panaca, NV on our way (also a first for me).
And Lara and I should be sisters... like real sisters not just sister-in-laws. We have had a summer full of matching outfits.

Happy Ty

This kid is SOOOO happy! Everyone always mentions how happy he is and its true... He is one pleasant little baby. Now that he is crawling, he also does this funny thing where he puts his legs straight, his bottom in the air, and then tips back into a sitting position. Its hilarious!

Ty @ 9 Months

23 pounds 4 ounces
29.5" tall
Wearing mostly 18 month clothes.
Says: Da Da, Ma Ma, Ba Ba
Waves Hi and Bye.
Smiles at everyone and anyone.
Moves around on the floor pretty good without crawling.
We are beginning to find him sitting up in the crib.
He was sleeping through the night finally at 8 months but then after our trip up north and to Utah he started waking up in the night again. We are working on sleeping through the night... again.
He is nursing in the morning and at bedtime with a formula bottle in-between.
Eats anything you give him (except baby food meat).
Loves his Mom, a lot!

Mountain Meadows

Grandpa Bracken had to give a little guided tour at Mountain Meadows to a group from St. George for their Youth Conference. Grandma, the kids and I tagged along. Always tear-jerking to hear this sad story that happened so long ago.

4th of July

If we are in Utah over the 4th of July we always head to Cedar Mountain to go camping. It is so fun and relaxing to be in the mountains and the kids love it! Except Ty was so tired of being held or sitting in the stroller the whole time.

Happy 4th of July hair!
