Sledding, Shooting and more Sledding

While in Utah, there wasn't a lot of snow but enough that we were able to have some fun outside playing in it. Our first time, Uncle Ward pulled the kids behind the 4-wheeler and then let the girls help him drive. We didn't have a snowsuit for Talya so as you can see, I wrapped her lower half in a big garbage bag. It worked perfectly! Haha

We went with Grandpa Hunt up the road to so a little shooting. We blow up some milk jugs and frozen pop cans.

While with all of the Bracken's, we all went sledding by the elem school. It was a cold day but the kids loved it. Natalya had so much fun. She'd get down the end of the hill and say, "Again."

Christmas

Christmas Eve and morning was spent with my side of the family this year. We kept with same traditions that we've been doing for several years. It's important to get the house all clean on Christmas Eve and then we order pizza from Pizza Hut. (Now since Etown is not big enough to have a local Pizza Hut, my brother's in-laws live in St. George and they always go down on Christmas Eve, therefore they bring the pizza home with them.) After our yummy pizza dinner we head to Great Grandma Hunts to visit. After that we go back home and open our Christmas Eve presents (always PJ's). This year we put the kids to bed and the adults stayed up and played some fun games, like family feud and The Newly Wed Game.

Talya was a blast on Christmas morning. She really had no idea the concept of Santa but once we allowed her to unwrap her presents she really got into that.

Colten and I spoiled ourselves this year. We set a small budget and neither of us stuck to it! Oops! But it was a wonderful Christmas and more importantly, it was fun to be with our families. Funny thing is, we got a new camera for Christmas but only took a couple of pictures on Christmas Day. I guess we were too busy!

Later that afternoon, we headed to St. George to visit Grandma Bowler and my moms family.

Hair Fun!

These two girls (Talya and her cousin, Hadlee) love to sit in the chair and get their hair done, while watching a cartoon on the Ipad.

And my now 2 year old will not leave her PJ's on at night time! Oh Boy...

A little visit to Jessica's

My younger sister Jess and her new husband live in Orem. Shortly after getting to So. Utah, my Mom and I decided to head up north and visit N & J. Talya did a pretty good job on the trip considering she didn't feel too great.

The first night we headed to the Riverwoods and looked at all the awesome Christmas lights and took a carriage ride.

Talya loves to ride the carousel. She picked the elephant this time.

Talya and Jess in "matching" zip up jammies!

The following day we headed up to Park City to do a little shopping. We stopped by temple square on the way back. It was COLD but oh so beautiful! That was my first time seeing the Christmas lights at temple square!

Thanks Jess and Nick for letting us stay. It was so fun to see you!

Swimming

Swimming with the Holt's, who are much braver than my scaredy-cat daughter. We went down to the new Washington Rec Center. I haven't been there and it was awesome! We had lots of fun and eventually Talya started splashing and having a good time, but it took her awhile to warm up to the idea.

Happy 2nd Birthday (take 2)

We arrived at Grandma Hunt's house in Utah on December 1st. Mostly we left MN so early because we didn't want to pay for Talya a seat on the airplane. She still flies free until she turns 2. Made that one by two days! Luckily she got her own seat on the plane anyways and the flight was long but good. We had to lay-over in Chicago and then the flight was delayed so after leaving our house at 1pm we didn't get to bed that night until 3am the next day.

We invited all the family over to Grandma and Grandpa Hunts house for a little family birthday party. We had some more cake and ice cream and the cousins enjoyed playing.

These 3 girls are going to have too much fun together in the future!

All seven of the Hunt grand-kids.

The kids were supposed to lay there on the floor and be as straight as a pencil. Obviously, Talya doesn't know what a pencil is. Maybe she thought I said pretzel, not pencil! haha

Christmas at the Zoo

Oxbow Zoo puts up Christmas lights around all the animal's cages so we picked Daddy up from school and headed out to see Christmas at the Zoo. Natalya loved being with her friends and seeing all the animals and "Keepish" (Christmas) lights. She is such a happy girl! (Most of the time)
