My mom finally taught me...

...how to decorate a cake. Growing up my mom always made us a decorated cake for our birthdays. Now that I'm a mom and moving 1700 miles away from home soon, I kind of have a bucket list of things I want to learn or accomplish before I'm on my own and learning to decorate a cake was one of those. A while back I was telling my mom this and my younger sister volunteered to have a 'cute little' cake for her 21st birthday. She wanted a castle, like from the movie Tangled. I went to Amazon and ordered a castle cake pan to start my cake pan collection. The final project turned out pretty good, considering it was my first attempt. And thanks Jess for having a birthday. We love you!
