I will always be thankful that I met Susannah through her blog, "Wanderin' Weeta (With Waterfowl and Weeds)".

Susannah taught me to see the tiny beauty that surrounds me ... to flip over a rock and document what lives there ... to appreciate nature even more fully.

Sussannah posted this picture sometime ago, calling these "angry pansies". 

They do look kind of angry, don't they?

 Pamela sent me this heart in an e-mail - she hasn't posted to her blog, "Dum Spiro Spero" in a long time.

She found this heart in a cypress knee at the Francis Beidler Audubon Swamp in Harleyville, SC.

And I am in awe.
