This baby has been quite the stinker! We have yet to hear the heartbeat. With every Dr's visit they have not been able to find it, so they bring in the portable ultrasound machine and find the heartbeat instead. One Dr even predicted that it is a boy because it was being so stubborn. Well, fast forward to last week when we were scheduled for our 20 week ultrasound. We went in pretty nervous. I would love to be naive about pregnancy, but after losing the triplets it just isn't going to happen. So, as she puts the monitor on my belly the baby immediately pops up, but isn't moving...At all. I was devastated. I knew I couldn't go through something like that again. I thought maybe I had missed something so I asked the tech if she could see movement. She said she did not, but not to worry, it could be asleep. After letting her know of our concerns, she finally found the heart. It was beating, which made mine start again as well. It was at that time that it started moving like crazy...Thank goodness. The tech checked out everything from the brain, to the umbilical cord to the heart. Everything is looking good. Then she went to check out the gender. I first noticed a little something and drew her attention to it. She brushed it off as the cord. Then the legs spread...It is most definitely a boy! Rob is so excited and so are the girls. Anna was ecstatic and is so ready for a baby brother. We haven't given this one a nickname yet. We had one ready for a girl (Princess Beyonce Acapulco) but are stumped for the boy. We do know that his middle name will be Danger. I'll keep everyone posted.
So, we are having a boy. We have nothing for a boy, but the girls and I are prepared to shop for him. Every time we go to a store now, we have to stop and look at the baby stuff. I love being able to share this experience with the girls. They are having a lot of fun!
