Sara's First Day

Sara started preschool this week. She was so excited to be able to go to her school. Me, I'm excited because I now have six hours a week all by myself. I intend to use my freedom in running all of my errands by myself!!!
She insisted on doing a silly picture before I could get my serious one.

My little Sara is getting all grown up! Isn't she cute!

Announcing....

A couple of months ago I blogged about how we were starting the invitro process all over again. I decided that I wasn't going to update it afterward because of what happened last time (the whole miscarriage) so I haven't really spoke about what happened this time. Well, it went incredibly well! They were able to retrieve 14 eggs and 12 fertilized. After three days all twelve embryos were still growing, which is almost unheard of. So we continued to day 5, the blast o cyst stage, which would give us a better chance. At day 5 all 12 were still progressing! We decided to implant two blasts and wait one more day to see what happened to the other ten. Well, five ended up not surviving, but the other five thrived! We now have five frozen. Anyway, two weeks later, while I was in Utah, I had my blood drawn and we got a positive pregnancy test!
I have to post about the retrieval day. I had the best nurse who did my IV...I didn't even feel it. I wanted to keep her and take her with me to all of my blood draws! Then there was the anesthesiologist...Dr Swayze. He told us that he was a bartender to put himself through medical school and the only difference between that job and this one is he is allowed to let me leave in an inebriated condition! He was great!
Anyway, a couple of weeks later we discovered that we are having one baby, due the end of February. So excited!
Here are the ultrasound pictures we just got at the eleven week visit.

Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers. They were definitely felt!

Elder LeAno

Another wonderful Elder came and said goodbye. He is on his way home! He has been with us for seven months and we have enjoyed having him here. He is a great missionary that brought the spirit into our home with every visit. Goodbye LeAno and good luck!

I Scream, You Scream...

Who doesn't love ice cream!

Snapping Beans

Sara has become my little helper ever since Anna started school. I love the one on one time I get with her now. She was so excited to help me pick and snap beans. Her apron pocket was full of beans. I think I might actually miss her a little bit when she starts school!

First Day of Kindergarten

I put my little girl on a bus to Kindergarten. I was so scared, but she was calm as can be. I don't like the fact that I have to get her up at 6 a.m. in order to make her 7 a.m. bus, but you do what you have to do. She didn't cry at all, but I sure did.
All grown up and ready to go.

In order for me to get a serious picture I agreed to get a crazy one as well!
Sara was excited to wait for Anna to get off the bus...At 3 p.m. Anna was exhausted! Hopefully her little body gets used to the schedule soon!

Bittersweet

Today I'm feeling bittersweet. Tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m. I am putting my sweet, innocent little girl on a bus to Kindergarten. She is so excited and so ready to go! I am excited for her to go, but I am going to miss her...She's my little helper. I have to put her on the bus at 7 and I pull her off around 3! Yes, you read that correctly. She is going to be gone eight hours a day. Which is 40 hrs a week. My five year old is starting a full time job! It seems like such a long time.
The other thing that makes me nervous is that I am sending her out into the "real world". She is my sweet, innocent little girl. I don't want her to get on the bus and hear words that she shouldn't have to hear, possible see things that she shouldn't see. I just want to keep her in my little bubble. The good thing is that they keep the Kindergarten kids up close to the front with the bus driver. Plus, she is a good kid, one who knows right from wrong and one that tries to do that which is right. So, she will be okay. She'll get on that bus tomorrow with a big smile on her face. Meanwhile, I will be left behind, with tears in my eyes, watching my little girl grow up.

Seriously, how did she go from this...
...To this in such a short time?!
