Fall to Layout #26- Take Two

Hello! I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far!
Here's this week's sketch:

First of all- the dimensions I used:
Card front: 4.25 x 5.5
Panel: 2 x 5.5
Each square: 1.75 x 1.75

I decided to pull out some Altenew for this sketch. Just as a reminder, or if you're new here,  any graphic image on the sketch (like the butterflies on the one above) are representative of any image. In this case the 3 objects are meant to be the same type of image though.

I  stamped each flower and leaf three times on some watercolour paper. I embossed these with Platinum powder and cut them out and then painted them using distress inks (Barn Door, Aged Mahogany, Crushed Olive, and Forest Moss).

Supplies:
Stamps: Adore You (Altenew)
Ink: Versamark, Black, Barn Door, Aged Mahogany, Crushed Olive, and Forest Moss
Paper: Pure Poppy, Ripe Avocado, White (PTI),  Watercolour paper
Accessories, etc. Platinum embossing powder

Here's Chera's card:

For todays sketch wanted to use a different shape to show how you can change it up by keeping it the same!! I used the Simon Says Stamp stitched circle dies and Papertrey Ink Bitty bouquets stamp set to create the look!!

Fall to Layout #25- Take Two!

Hello all!

I hope you're ready for another sketch. We're taking things square this week!

The dimensions I used:
Card Base: 4.5x4.5
Background Vertical Panel: 2-1/8x4.5
Word Panel: 2-7/8x 3.5
Orange Panel: 3-5/8x3-5/8

Here's my card! I was feeling a little tropical still with all the lovely weather as of late.I think it's pretty straight forward. Stamp leaves onto the background strip. Stamp a flower and leave and die cut those. Add a greeting to the white panel and adhere everything.

Supplies:
Stamps: Color Layering Hibiscus, Thanks Stamp & Cut (Hero Arts)
Ink: Limeade Ice, Simply Chartreuse, Summer Sunshine, Orange Zest, Terracotta Tile (PTI), Versafine Black Onyx
Accessories: Hibiscus dies (Hero Arts)

And now, onto Chera's card!

Today's card was super fun to make! Don’t often make square cards so it was fun to be pushed inside that box ;)!!  I wanted to keep the colour pallet nice and simple and of course bright!! So some lovely shades of teal were an automatic go to!

Stamps used in today's card:
Hero Arts blizzard bold prints background stamp
Papertrey ink butterfly hope stamp set
Hero Arts hello stamp and cut

Dies: MFT Stitched Squares

Fall to Layout #24- Take Two

Hello all and welcome back!
Let's get back into it, shall we?

Here is this week's sketch. When I think of sketches to "fall to", this one is high ranking!

If you would like dimensions, I used the following:

Card Base: 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
Frame Layer: 3-1/8 x 4-3/8
Main Layer: 3 x 4-1/4
Pattern Piece: 3 x 1-3/4

Here's my card!

I was definitely in the mood for clean and simple and cutesy! This Lawn Fawn pineapple certainly fit the bill! I first stamped my pineapple and then coloured it with the Copics. Next, I stamped more pineapples on the Green Parakeet panel and clear embossed those. I attached that piece to the Lemon Tart panel, added the ribbon for some subtle texture and stamped the aloha greeting. That panel was adhered to a New Leaf Panel and then finally adhered to the black panel. I hope you enjoy it!

Supplies:
Stamps: Aloha (Lawn Fawn)
Ink: Tuxedo Black, Versamark (Tsukineko)
Paper: White, Black, Lemon Tart, Green Parakeet, New Leaf (Papertrey Ink)
Accessories, etc.: Lemon Tart twill ribbon (PTI), Clear embossing powder, Copics (YR18, Y32, Y35, YG13, G03)

Up next, Chera's take on the sketch. She stuck with general design of the main panel piece of the sketch and expanded that to the whole card.

Here it is!

And here's what she had to say about it:

Today's card is brought to you by the Concord and 9th flower turnabout stamp set! I saw the sketch and this is what I had pictured in my mind!! This stamp is great for those of us who love to make their own designer looking paper! I pulled out my Wplus9 inks (wild mango, blossomberry, sweet gelato, sweet nectar, cockleshell, mojito) because they are my fave! Once the flower stamping was complete I used a double stitched curve die from MFT to make my edge! Just that slight detail makes the card! The hello die is from Simon Says Stamp, I layered it up 3 times and then added some glossy accents on it to give it a little shine!! To give it that Chera finish,  I added some clear sequins….couldn’t resist!!!

Hope you are inspired to create something today!!
Chera

(other products use Wplus9 hand lettered hello stamp set, neenah solar white 80 and 110lbs  cardstock, elegant eggplant cardstock from Stampin Up!)

The hiatus is over!

Hello everyone!

I've been back and forth, hemming and hawing, and sitting on both sides of the fence, but I've finally decided- it's time! It's time for the Clean and Simple Stamping sketches to return!

It'll be a simpler format. For now, just myself and Chera will be posting our cards. Because I have such a vault of sketch designs, we will be picking up where we left off almost 2 years ago with the "Take Two" style of challenge.

If you're still with us, thanks for hanging around!

If you're new, welcome!

And stay tuned- Sunday, July 9th will mark the return of our cards and the sketch. We used to do Friday posts, but ending the weekend with the sketch post aligns better with my current schedule. It also means you can start (or end) your week with a bit inspiration.

Thanks!
