SUNDAY SKETCH with Katarina

Hi CTK friends,

Katarina back with you bringing this week's Sunday Sketch challenge and inspiration. Let's have a look at the gorgeous sketch first.

Now let's see my take on it. I created a layout in my 6x8 Life Crafted Album featuring the beautiful new Gratitude digital release and the Change is Beautiful digital ephemera.

I love circles on layouts and this time I wanted something really special. My son recently discovered my crocheting supplies and I had an idea to make a crocheted circle on my page. I love how it turned out! It goes perfectly with my title and the theme of the layout.

As a background I used two patterned papers from the Gratitude digital collection. My two photos are slightly bigger as I really wanted them to stand out.

For my title I used the White Foam Alphabet, and on the right side I also used the Pumpkin/Coffee Alphabet Stickers to write another small title.

I used the Change Is Beautiful Digital Ephemera and All About Me Tiny Words/Phrases Stickers to embellish my photos and circle. I cut one of the tags from the ephemera in two pieces and used one for journaling and the second one for adding date.

I really loved working with this fun sketch and hope that you got inspired too and that you join our challenge with your beautiful creations.

SUNDAY SKETCH with Katarina

Hey CTK friends!

It's Sunday again and it's Katarina back with you bringing the newest Sunday Sketch Challenge inspiration. Let's have a look at the gorgeous sketch.

And here's my project.

I created a layout in my 6x8 Life Crafted Album using the beautiful All About Me Kit and Stamps.

I really love how this collection inspires me to document all about myself and this time I wanted to journal about how amazing it is to finally have an e-bike and be able to keep pace with my boys.

I love all the patterned papers in the All About Me Kit so I used a bunch of them, combined with the Journal Cards and layered them behind my photo. This really helps the photo stand out. Alternatively, you can combine patterned papers with vellum to make it a little less busy.

I used one of the All About Me Ephemera pieces for my title and later I realised I have a lot of empty space on my photo, which really inspired me to use the Storytelling V2 All About Me Stamp and add another little title or note to self, if you want.

I added the beautiful All About Me Floral Ephemera around two corners of my photo as the sketch suggested and added a few enamel dots for a little detail.

I used one of the Journaling Cards from the collection for my journaling and tucked it behind the main cluster.

I really love this beautiful sketch and the new All About Me products. Hope you feel inspired by the sketch and my project and that you join our challenge!

See you soon!

SUNDAY SKETCH WITH KATARINA

Hey CTK friends,

Katarina back with you with this week's Sunday Sketch and my inspiration for you. Let's see the sketch first.

And here's my take. I created an out of pocket layout in my 6x8 Life Crafted Layout featuring the beautiful July Going Places digital release

I used stripes of torn patterned printable paper on the top and bottom of the layout.

Inspired by the sketch I layered three papers behind my photo. I used the beautiful sun ray digital patterned paper and a piece of matching teal cardstock as well as a contrasting grey patterned paper from the Going Places collection. Under the photo I used a combination of CTK exclusive stamps.

I used one of the digital journaling cards to fussy cut my title. I love how the colors play together, tone on tone. I again combined it with a tiny stamp to add a little detail. Then I added my handwritten journaling.

I wanted to keep the layout simple, so for my finishing touches I only added a bunch of puffy stickers, a die cut circle from the Going Places Digital Elements and stitching for some added interest.

I hope you find the sketch and my take on it inspiring and that you try creating your own version using the beautiful Citrus Twist products. Thank you for stopping by and see you next time!

Sunday Sketch with Katarina

Hi CTK friends,

Katarina back with you, bringing you another Sunday Sketch inspiration. As always, we have a beautiful sketch that can be used as inspiration for any format of layout.

Here's the sketch:

I created a layout in my 6*8 Life Crafted Album and used the gorgeous Travelogue '23 Kit and the new Sadie Upper and Lower Alphabet Stamps. Let's have a look:

The sketch really inspired me a lot and I decided to follow it almost fully. The only problem was to keep so much clean space, with so many beautiful products at my desk.

For my background I used one of the Travelogue '23 digital papers and I used some more as layers under my two photos. For some added texture and for journaling purposes, I added one of the tags from the Travelogue '23 Ephemera.

I embellished my photos with some of the Tiny Words stickers and Circle Stickers from the Travelogue '23 Kit. They were a perfect addition to my hiking story.

Then I enjoyed some stamping. For my title, I combined the new Sadie Alphabet Upper and Lower Stamps. Next I used the Cravings Stamp to add some more stamping to fill in the space between my title and photos. To add some more interest, I used two colors of ink.

I found the "Let's Go Explore" sign die cut so perfect for this layout, that I just had to add it next to my title. If you look closer at the sketch, there are very subtle splatters in the top right side of the design. Here I decided to go for more stamping and used some of the tiny stamps from the Cravings Stamp and a subtle grey ink to add some words related to my story.

As a final touch, I added a bunch of CTK Jewel Enamel Dots in perfectly matching colors. I really love how my layout turned out, it is always so refreshing to use a sketch as inspiration for my projects. Will you try it?

Thank you for stopping by today, friends and have a lovely rest of your weekend.

3-TO-INSPIRE WITH KATARINA

Hey friends, Katarina here with you again. Today I am coming with my 3-to-inspire project using the beautiful SPRING DREAMS digitals with some other shop exclusives.

My prompts for this week are:

1. Use a big B&W photo

2. Layering

3. Embellish tone on tone

And here’s my project.

I am in love with all the digital products this month. The colors are so fresh and beautiful. I chose three of them and decided to create three sections in the left side of my project. I cut three rectangles from the digital papers and layered multiple digital ephemera, elements and other products – all tone on tone.

For my right side I used a whole-page black and white photo of me and my son. To make both pages more cohesive, I used the left over frames from the patterned papers. I layered them in two corners of my photo.

To bring a little bit of the B&W vibe to the left page, I used a combination of black and white Foam Alphabet for my title.

I hope you feel inspired by my prompts and my project and all the beautiful products in the SPRING DREAMS release. Thank you for stopping by and wish you a great weekend full of crafting!

SUNDAY SKETCH with Katarina

Hey CTK friends,

Katarina here again. Today I am bringing this week’s Sketch Challenge together with a little inspiration on how you can use the sketch.

Here’s the sketch:

And here’s my project.

I created a single page layout in my 6*8 Life Crafted Album and I pretty much followed the sketch. I used the beautiful Slow Days Mini Kit and digitals.

I printed three photos of my son, making silly faces. Who can spot the rainbows of my Life Crafted Albums on the shelves behind him?

I went for a square format of photos to better fit my layout. Then I selected two digital papers from the Slow Days collection. I chose patterns that are not so colorful and busy to make sure my photos and other elements stand out.

Next I cut two stripes of each of the papers and inspired by the sketch, I cut lines in certain places, to later tuck more elements in the paper strips. I machine stitched along the cut lines for some added interest.

I used one of the neutral patterned papers from the Basics & Ledgers 6" x 8" Pattern Paper to create four small tags. I tucked them in the cut lines and layered one of the beautiful floral die cuts from the SLOW DAYS Die Cut Ephemera on top of each of the tags.

I placed my photos together with the Slow Days Tiny Word Stickers on the paper strips and added some more ephemera. For my title, I used more of the Slow Days die cuts.

I love how my layout turned out, the sketch was so inspiring and easy to follow. Hope you feel inspired too to get crafty with our Sketch Challenge this week!

Thanks for stopping by, friends!

3-TO-INSPIRE WITH KATARINA

Hey CTK friends,

Katarina here with my last post this year. Today, with the 3-to-inspire challenge. I used the beautiful new Winter Magic collection.

Here are my three prompts for this week:

1. Use multiple photos or photos of different formats

2. Create pockets for your hidden journaling

3. Use your numbers (puffies, stamps, stickers).

And here is my project.

I created a double page layout in my 6x8 Life Crafted album, where I documented how we created Christmas decorations together with my son and our preparations for St. Nicolaus. Children in our country clean their shoes and put them on the window the evening before St. Nicolaus day and in the morning they find them full of treats and small surprises. My son always cleans two pairs, because you know – more shoes, more treats :-)

I used a full page photo of my son washing his rubber shoes and added my title with the Rose Gold Puffy Alpha Stickers, a little black banner from the Winter Magic Ephemera and a couple of Puffy Hearts.

For the left side of my spread I printed three smaller photos and placed them on top of three pockets that I created for my journaling. I used the beautiful Winter Magic Digital Papers both for my background and for the pockets.

I inserted three cream tags inside the pockets to add some thoughts about that evening. I used the same Rose Gold Puffy Stickers to number my photos and added a black tab from the Winter Magic Ephemera to each of my photos.

To keep both my pages cohesive I added a three white puffy hearts and called my layout done.

Thanks for stopping by today, friends! Hope you feel inspired and try creating something beautiful using my three prompts and some of your favorite Citrus Twist goodies.
