3-to-Inspire with Desiree Lamar

Happy holidays scrappy friends! I am sharing this week's 3-to-Inspire challenge using the Oh What Fun Christmas Kit

For this challenge, I used ribbon, floral die-cuts, and phrase die-cuts or stickers. Here's my layout.

I kept it pretty simple with two large clusters. I started with white cardstock on a simple patterned base. My goal was to incorporate the ribbon into the page. I decided to wrap it around each corner like a gift. I chose this blue, velvet ribbon from the Oh What Fun Kit that has sticker backing.

The light, pastel color of the ribbon inspired me to keep my whole page light. So I reached for soft-colored florals from the Winter Florals Ephemera pack. The florals were perfect to layer on my clusters. I added doilies and 6x8.5 papers from the Oh What Fun Kit to complete my clusters.

There were so many gorgeous titles to choose from in the Oh What Fun Icon Ephemera pack. I decided to do a double phrase with "love" and "good cheer" I love how the colors echoed the colors in the layout.

My layout felt very light and airy. To ground it and give it contrast, I splattered black paint throughout the page.

This layout left me feeling all the good cheer. I think my favorite part is the ribbon. Thank you so much for following along with me today! Happy Holidays!

SUNDAY SKETCH with Desiree

Happy Fall scrappy friends! Today I have a multi-photo, Fall sketch to share with you. Let's take a look at it below.

This four-photo sketch was a challenge for me since I usually only scrap 1-2 photos per layout. However, I was still excited to give the sketch a go. Here's what I came up with.

I started the layout with a wood-grain paper as my base. Then I found scalloped frames in the Farmstead Harvest Ephemera. So, I decided to use a square scallop die to die cut my own frames from the CTK Change is Beautiful 6x8 Digital Papers and  Farmstead Harvest 6x8 Paper Pad. These frames really helped me to layer my photos more easily.

Next, I placed beautiful leaves from the CTK Feels Like Home Ephemera into this large, four-photo cluster. This is my favorite part of the layout.  I also added Farmstead Harvest Ephemera bits and CTK Changing Season Puffy Stickers.

To keep in line with the sketch, I made sure to include my journaling on a Farmstead Harvest Tag

To add more contrast to my layout and make my cluster pop, I painted my page with watercolor paint. I layered it under the photos to make it seem like it was already there.

To complete my photo, I placed two small titles. I used the "Home" die cut from the CTK Feels Like Home Ephemera and my favorite CTK Puffy Alpha Stickers

Thank you so much for following along on this sketch challenge with me. I wish you a crafty day!

Sunday Sketch With Loredana Bucaria

Happy Sunday friends!

How are you? Hope you all are safe and healthy, be strong, don't give up!

Today am happy to share my page inspired from today Sunday Sketch, love it and to be true I went out of my comfort zone using some colors that I really don't use often.

I played with many papers leftover from the past kits and with many different embellishments from the Travelogue collection that I love so much! This picture hides a beautiful story about my first boy, Andrea, he is a big sensibility, a big love fronte nature and I took this pie while he was looking at some horses. It was a lovely moment.

Here my page

I have added some vellum stars stapled together and some black ink drops here and there. I love the travelogue big 6x8 stamps  I have added so many little details here and there using puffy stickers, die cuts and cork embellishments.

Here some details

Every single thing I decide to use has a meaning for the page and the story I focus on.

Hope you like it and I can't wait to see what you create:)

Love, Lory

2020 Recap by Angela

Hello everyone!
It's Angela here. I can't believe we are almost at the end of this crazy year. It's been so strange and sometimes hard to deal with and I am really looking forward to the new year to start.

This page is a multiple photo 12 x 12 inch layout to recap the year.
I created a collage in photoshop and printed it on photo paper. I left 0.24 inch of white border around and cut the excess. The collage measures in total 11 x 5 inches.

Underneath, I added two patterned papers from Marigold 6 x 8 paper pad that you can find in the shop. For the title, I used the Citrus Twist exclusive black Foam Alphabet Stickers and the green Puffy Alphabet Stickers, while 2020 is printed with Big Numbers Stamp. This stamp set has three different fonts and I used a combination of the three to write the date.

To decorate, I created three clusters of embellishments using the Tickets & Tags and the Floral ephemera pack from this month.

I also added a few chipboard Stars on the photo collage, without covering any face, just to add a bit of color to the clack and white photo.

That's all for today, my friends. I hope you liked the page and I wish you all the best for the new year.
Love, NG

12x12 Layout with Krystal

Hi everyone! This is Krystal, and today I'm sharing a 12x12 layout I created using the November "Legendary" Life Crafted kit and some of this month's cut files.

I started by cutting the floral divider from the November Dividers cut file twice. I placed them on my page with one of the papers from the kit between them. To make the white cut files stand out on my white background, I added a bit of inking using some Distress Oxide inks in Ripe Persimmon and Tattered Rose. Then I stitched the papers together before adhering them to my background.

For my title, I used the Script Words cut file and cut two copies of the word "gather" from black cardstock. I also created a shadow of the word using the Silhouette software and cut that from white cardstock. I glued all the layers together, then added foam dots behind the title to help it stand out on my page. I also used some of the alphas from the kit to add another line to my title.

For my photo, I added a couple layers of patterned paper from the kit, then layered it with a tag and label from the Legendary Digital Tags. I added a bit of foam adhesive between the paper and the tags to add definition and create dimension. I finished everything off with a few gold splatters, and called the whole thing done!

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my layout for today. I hope you were able to find some inspiration for using your kits this month. Until next time!

Life Crafted with Krystal

Hi all! This is Krystal, and today I'm sharing a 12x12 layout using the September Life Crafted Kit, Stamp Add-Ons, and one of this month's cut files. Let's get started!

I decided to use the Reader For Life cut file as my title and cut it once from white cardstock, then cut the title again from black cardstock. I layered the two together to get a two-toned image, then backed the open book pages with the vintage dictionary page from last month's Scrapbooking Add-On kit

To add some interest to my background, I used the "Good Life" stamp set to stamp a couple phrases in Distress Oxide ink. I then took a paintbrush and a little water to distress the stamped image and create a larger inked area around it. I also added a few splatters to add to the messy look.

I used a couple of the 6x8 papers from the Life Crafted Kit to add a matte around my photo, tearing the edge of one of the papers to add a bit of texture. I also added two strips of paper to both the top and bottom of my page to give it a kind of frame and add additional color and texture.

I embellished the page very simply with a couple of tags from the embellishment pack and a few of the puffy heart stickers in tones that matched my stamping. I wanted to make sure that the cut file and stamping were the star of the show, so to speak, so I didn't want to add a lot of other elements to the page.

I used the Traveler's Notebook Stamp Set to stamp "love" on one of the tags, then I finished my page by adding a date stamp and a few lines of journaling.

Overall, a pretty simple page, but I absolutely love how it turned out! You can view my entire process in the video below.

I hope you found some inspiration in my post and will use it to create something amazing with your kit. Thanks for stopping by!

Sunday Sketch with Krystal

Hey everyone! This is Krystal, and I'm here today with this week's Sunday Sketch. I had so much fun working with this sketch and this month's kits, and I know you will too! Let's get started.

This week's sketch has a large central photo cluster, a large title element, a paper strip at the top, and some splatters. I decided to follow the sketch pretty closely this time, but I took a few liberties to make it work for me. Here's my interpretation.

I was inspired by the number in the title to use a photo from a recent Thursday Three post on Instagram. Then I took my color scheme from my photo, meaning I stuck to tone of blue and neutrals (black, white, and grey).

I started by choosing papers from both the "Wild at Heart" Life Crafted Kit and this month's Scrapbook Add-On to match my photo. Working from the photo down, I determined the order I wanted the patterns to go in. I knew I wanted my journaling to be hidden, so I made sure to create a layer that could flip up to reveal my printed words. I did this by scoring the top of one of the layers, then stitching it to the layer beneath it. It's a super easy way to add a large block of journaling when the design of the page wouldn't otherwise have room for it.

Once I had all of the paper layers in place, I started pulling embellishments from both kits. I choose elements that would work with both the color scheme and topic of my layout. I was careful not to over-embellish this layout. I knew that all of the different patterned papers would feel too busy if I added a lot of embellishments on top of them, so I only added a couple pieces to each of my three clusters.

For my title, I used one of the large numbers from the ephemera pack and the puffy alphas from the Life Crafted Kit. I moved them slightly from where they were on the original sketch in order to work with my photo and paper choices.

I finished off the layout by adding a bit of stamping where the original sketch had suggested adding the journaling. Then I added some enamel dots to each of my clusters and some black splatters to match the black in my photo and title.

And there's the page all done! You can take a more detailed look at how this page came together by watching the video below.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope to see you back here again soon!
