Card of the Day - Peachy Birthday

Hello and welcome back! Today I have another birthday card for you.

Don't you just love these peaches? They look good enough to eat! I inked up the stamp with Pale Papaya ink then used a sponge dauber to add a bit of Calypso Coral before stamping on the cardstock. I love the extra dimension you get with that technique.

I stamped the sentiment in Pear Pizzazz, then stamped over it again with Versamark so that I could add some clear embossing to make the sentiment stand out a bit more. The Stamparatus makes it so easy to do this!

This card was inspired by the recipe challenge at As You See It and the tic-tac-toe challenge at the Paper Players.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

CASEing the Catalog - Woodland Wonder

Hello and welcome back! For today's card I decided to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) a really cute card from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog.

One of the benefits of being a demonstrator is that we have access to a file with the supplies used for all samples in the catalogs. There are not usually any instructions but at least we can match colors. So there are three stamps in this set that make up the tree, but it took some trial and error to realize that the stamp for the base of the tree needed to be used twice (once without the grass) to make the tree tall enough. Even then, I probably could have moved it up a bit so that all of the leaves at the top would show when the card was folded. If I were to make this card again, I would also stamp before scoring the cardstock. The poor raccoon is a bit mushy!

This really wasn't a difficult card, just a bit time consuming with all of the coloring. This is for my daughter-in-law's birthday. She is a big Animal Crossing fan and I felt like this set had an AC vibe.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Card of the Day - Everything Amazing Birthday

Hello and welcome back! Once again, I'm behind on birthday cards, so I made a stack of these.

This is another one of my sets that had not yet been inked. The Stamparatus is great for lining up the inserted words and stamping a lot of cards. This card uses a mix of current and "vintage" products.

The design was inspired by the challenge at Paper Craft Crew

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

WWYS 221 - Timeless Textures

Hello and welcome back! Today I'm excited and honored to be a guest designer for the challenge at What Will You Stamp?

And here is my card:

Most of the cards that I've seen that use this stamp set, use it as background in subtle or neutral colors. I went in a different direction. I love rainbows and thought this set provided the perfect opportunity to try and create one.

I used a variation of the step technique on the Stamparatus to stamp the grid down the center of the card with seven different colors (in ROYGBIV order, of course), then added some textural interest with other stamps from the set. Since the top layer is so colorful, I attached it to a neutral base of Basic Gray and Smoky Slate.

The sentiment is small, but stands out with layers from the Layering Circles Framelits. Then I raided my stash to add a bow with seven strands of different colors of baker's twine.

After adding all that to the front, I couldn't just ignore the inside of the card. I used the speckle stamp from the set to create the rainbow border around the edge of the insert and added the sentiment from the Incredible Like You stamp set. And I couldn't forget the envelope either!

Well, it was fun being challenged this week. Hope you all like the card!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!
