Good morning! I'm finally back from vacation, got the kids settled into school, and am ready for the craziness of harvest to come...well, maybe. I thought I'd hop on finally to share a card I made using some of the new Frantic Stamper goodies released in August. They just happen to work perfectly with our family trip to Maine this summer. We had a blast but, boy, was it humid! I thought growing up in Florida that I knew all there was to know about humidity but Maine taught me a thing of two. It was still a blast watching the boys' first experience with the Atlantic ocean and my first real experience with tides. I know we had them in Florida but nothing like the tide changes in Maine. WOW! The tides went out so far, we could walk out to islands. It was crazy. Here's a photo of my crazy family on one of our walks out to the islands.
How's that for a goofy crew? Now for a card:
I had a blast creating this card I created my own stencil for the rocks using post it notes and then used the new Slimline Clouds Stencil for the clouds and light beams. I did all my inking with distress oxide inks. After building my background, I cut the lighthouse from the new Lighthouses die in both white and red combining the two cuts to create my multicolored light house. Finally, I added a sentiment using the new Hi Hello Word Set cut from white cardstock. I layered my lighthouse scene on a red card base to make the red on the lighthouse pop a little.
