At Christmas...seeing beauty in unexpected places...

Chipping with Charm: Rusty Christmas Wreath...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

Merry Christmas dear friends...may you continue to see beauty in unexpected places.
Like a manger...in a stable.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be on his shoulder: and he shall be called Wonderful Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6

God bless,

Layered Fall Door Decor...junkers version of a "wreath"...

Chipping with Charm, Layers of Fall Door Decor via http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

You might already know that I love unique wreaths for my front door.  They can be round...but they don't have to be.

Here is what I came up with for Fall this year.

I started by attaching a few license plates together with twine.

I took the belt off of this tool belt...and added some more twine to hang it.

That "straw" is a hand broom.

Tucked in a silver "server" and clipped on some fall leaves...I "ENJOY" fall.  Can you tell?

That little pumpkin fit into the "hammer holder" perfectly.

And finished it off with some button magnets and book page embellishments.

Re-purposing for FALL...revisiting...

I love fall and I LOVE re-purposing...here's a little peek back at some things I've made in past years...

So that's a few "blasts from the pasts".
I haven't done too much for here for fall...yet.  I'm hoping to change that today.  I may have to run out for a pumpkin spice latte for "inspiration"??

Thanks for stopping by!

Another "Retired" Garden Tool...rake wreath...

The other day I showed you a couple of garden tools living new "leisurely" lives as home decor...

(The rest of that post HERE)

Here's another idea that I've seen "out and about"...and so I thought I'd show you my version of the rake wreath :)

You know how I love to "embellish" things with clothes pins...

...and leaves.

And there you go...still bringing the outdoors "in" this fall.  Have a great weekend!!

Basket Ball Hoop Fall "Pumpkin" Wreath

Call me crazy...still :)

Do you remember last year when I bought a couple of these old orange basketball hoop rims because they reminded me of pumpkins?
(See that post HERE)

Well, I took them a step further this year...added some twine...

...and clipped on some leaves.

Real and "not" real.

There you have it...another somewhat "unique" wreath for fall.
It might remind you of another little idea from last Christmas...

Similar...but different.

Here's one hanging with one of my "SWEET" WREATHS" in our new booth at Antiques Downtown
(See the rest of our booth HERE :))

So how about you?  Are you "Wreath Crazy"?  What's the most "thinking out of the greens" wreath you've ever made??  Please tell me...I'd like to know I'm not alone ;)

 Sharing this at...

Hope you are having a great week!!
Until next time,

"Sweet" Wreath...re-visited for Fall

You might remember I have a "thing" for turning bake ware into wreaths...

Here's the "Sweet" Spring Wreath I made out of a jello mold March of 2011.

And here's the odd unique one I made out of a Bundt pan and book pages...that same Spring.

When I saw this chippy orange Bundt pan it reminded me of a pumpkin :)

A little twine...

...some book page leaves, a real leaf and an old clothes pin pulls/holds it all together.

Couldn't resist :)

How is the fall decorating coming at your house??
I have to admit, I haven't done much here.  I've got something else "cooking up"...I'll share more next week.  Can't wait!!

"O" Happy Day!

I'm taking a little break from my usual "chippy" or "rusty" posts to show you a little something I made for my little girl's room.

It all started with this letter "O" I found last weekend for $1 at an antique store.  You might know by now that I have been known to turn everything round into a wreath...it's a bit of a "problem" :)

I added a little burlap ribbon...with the help of a few vintage pins and clip earrings.

Then I printed out a picture of my little "beach bum" onto cardstock from our recent Florida vacation...and then finished it off with some white paint and letter stamps...

"O Happy Day"...get it?  :)
I think it's the perfect addition to her bright, whimsical, "girly-girl" bedroom.
