Happy Easter...and a giveaway winner...

Just dropping in to say have a blessed Easter dear friends!

Chipping with Charm: Happy Easter...Strike Plate Cross...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

Romans 5:8b is one of the first verses my son learned in Sunday School.  "Christ died for us."  So simple...but it has been on my heart this Easter week.  Before I was even "trying" to be good Christ died for me...and for you.
You are loved.

But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. (John 3:17)

Have a blessed Easter celebrating this AMAZING gift!

Also,
I promised to announce the winner of my Junkers United Giveaway.

"Junky Bunny" Spring Art

I've had these chippy little bunny in my Easter decor "stash" for many years now.  They have come in handy to tuck into little vignettes here and there.
After seeing all the fun bunnies with bushy tails on Pinterest...

I decided they needed tails this year too.
(These were little gray burlap flowers I purchased in the scrapbook section at the craft store.)

I had this old grate sitting around.  I use it over and over in my decor...usually layered up someplace.  You know how I LOVE to layer!!

I decided to just tie on my junky bunnies...

...and add some ribbon "grass".

A little "Spring" tag and some buttons finish it off.

Soooo...what do you think???  Not my "usual"...but kinda cute?  Or has this long Minnesota winter made me lose my mind?? ;)

Thanks for stopping by,

I found a bunch of these perfectly crusty "strike plates" in a fellow vendors booth at Antiques Downtown a couple of weeks ago...

Celebrating Easter...with a view...

Hello friends...have you missed me?
We spent Spring Break visiting my in-laws down in Florida this year.  I didn't mention it to you last week before we left...my sweet hubby didn't think it was a "good idea" to broadcast that we were out of town for a week over the internet.  Huh...imagine that? ;)
We're home now...and the only projects on the "to do list" today are unpacking and LOTS of laundry!
Been there?  Yes, I'm sure you have...and since I'm sure you'd rather see just about ANYTHING than a big ol' mountain of dirty clothes...I'll show you a picture of my little family enjoying our Easter near the beach...

Hope everyone had a blessed Easter.  I look forward to getting back to some creating, and visiting next week.

See you then,

"Trash" to "Treasured"...junk cross

Chipping with Charm: Level Cross...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

Can you believe I didn't do one bit of Easter decorating this year?  Not one egg, or bunny...I started out "too busy" and then got "too lazy".
With this extra special holiday coming up I decided to share a little project I did a while back.  I forgot to share it with you then but remembered recently when I gave one to my dad for his birthday...

Happy Easter...

I didn't do much for decorating this Easter...no bunnies or little chicks, not even a single egg.  We've been painting our whole main level so we've been living in a bit of an unorganized mess...
But somehow these three simple crosses found their way up high in a window sill...a focal point in our home.  And what an amazing reminder I had each day of the extra special and sacrifical gift we are celebrating...

Happy Easter my friends, may you be blessed this Easter knowing that He did it for YOU...yes, He loves you THAT much!

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, not anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39, NIV

Enjoy!
