MCT 78th New Release Sneak Day 1

Good Morning and welcome to day 1 of sneaks for the
78th New Release from
My Creative Time!!

Today the DT will be showcasing the adorable new set~
You're All Write
Take a look at my inspiration using this set....
Ok now isn't that pencil just the CUTEST!!
I have 2 projects to share using this set. The first one is a mini post it note holder.
I have made these several times in the past and just LOVE how fun they are to make and share. I used the directions for the post it note that can be found HERE on my blog (there are actually a few different kinds of post it note holders found here too)
I added the designer paper from the  Cool Kid paper pack from Crate Paper for the lined paper which was die cut using the Stitched Squares Inside & Out set.
The sentiment is from the new You're All Write set which was stamped right onto the lined paper.
That cutie pencil, also from the You're All Write set was stamped and then paper pieces using scrap cardstock from my stash. He was then popped up onto the from of the post it note holder.
A mini pen and a matching post it note pad completed my project and it is now ready to give!!
My other project is a small tag that I added to a skinny clear bag of pencils.
The tag, from the Chunky Stitched Tag Die was die cut using the same lined paper. I stamped the sentiment, also from the set You're All Write onto the tag.
I stamped the mini pencil cutie onto some white cardstock and then I colored him using my prismacolor pencils.
The tag was attached to the skinny bag using some Totally White Trendy Twine.

Just a litte love note.....{MCT Whatever Wednesday}

Good Morning and welcome to another
Whatever Wednesday with My Creative Time!
What did you think of the new I Adore You Kit that was released on Friday?
Pretty awesome and perfect for Valentines Day right!!
If you missed the release and blog hop, you can always head back to my blog post and check out my project as well as the rest of the DT's inspiration.

For my project today, I used the new I Adore You Kit...a sentiment stamp and a die to make a Valentine's Day Post it note holder.
Take a look and let me know what you think.....
To make this post it note holder, I started with a piece of kraft cardstock that I cut/score to the following dimensions--7 3/8 x 3 1/4 then score at 3 1/8, 3 1/2 and 3 7/8
I added a layer of white cardstock and then die cut a piece of pattern paper with the Stitched Squares Inside & Out set.
Using the new heart die from the I Adore You set, I cut it out 2 times, once in white cardstock and again in a matching pattern paper so I could layer the 2 onto the front of the note holder.
For the sentiment, I used the Vintage Stitched Label Die and sized it down to fit the sentiment.
A cute mini pen completed my project!

As always I appreciate you stopping by and checking out my project!
For more inspiration, please head on over to the

Have a GREAT hump day!!

MCT 42nd New Release Sneak Day 2

Good Morning and welcome to Day 2 of sneaks for the new
My Creative Time 42nd New Release!
What did you think of yesterday's sneaks??? Pretty AWESOME right!!!! Well we have more to share!!!!

Today the DT will be showcasing projects using the new set~
Believe in Your Dreams
For my project I made a post~it note holder.
Our AWESOME DT leader and super talented stamp and die creator Miss Emma made one of these that you can see HERE. You may also remember my DT sis Lucia making one as well. You can see her's HERE
I followed the directions to make this using some beautiful designer paper from my stash. Then before putting the front pocket together, I stamped the sentiment using the new Believe in Your Dreams set. I added that cute little heart as well, glittering it up with some Wink of Stella and some glossy accents.
Don't you just LOVE the new feather stamp and die?? I am so super excited Emma added this to her product line :) I stamped the feather onto some cork paper and then die cut it out using the matching die! I added a small "scribble" line under the feather using the You Are Fabulous stamp set and finished it off with some yellow hemp twine.
I just LOVE the way this turned out and think these would make AWESOME teacher appreciation gifts!

Teacher Appreciation Post-it Note Tutorial..........{The Kraft Journal}

Good Morning!!
I am up on The Kraft Journal's Blog today with a  great end of the school year Teacher Appreciation gift idea and tutorial. Last year I made this altered coaster Post-it note holder (see original HERE)  and have had many requests to share how I made it.  Since the end of the school year is quickly approaching for many, we all have those special teacher's we like to do a little extra  for so hopefully you will be inspired to create one of these as well.
Here are the supplies you need.....
The supply list is quite simple and can be altered to fit whatever theme you choose.
Coaster or Chipboard
designer paper
stamp and stamp block
ink
adhesive

So let's begin!
Start by taking your chipboard piece (4in x4in) or coaster and cover it with the Brown Kraft Cardstock using any adhesive of your choice. My go to is the Tombo Mono Multi Liquid and after I glue the card stock to the coaster I smooth all the air bubbles out with my bone folder
I also ended up using a file to smooth the edges around the coaster as well. You want a nice finished look both on the front and the back of the coaster. Plus if you are using chipboard, the added cardstock makes the whole piece sturdier.
This next step can be done however you choose and can be as detailed as you want. I choose to use my designer paper, some Black Twill Tape and my sewing machine. I quickly ran the ribbon and designer paper through my sewing machine using a zig zag stitch and then followed the same steps as above to attach it to my base.
Now to finish your project off...all you have to do is stamp your sentiment onto the post it notes...yes depending on how many sheets of paper you are stamping on it can get pretty tedious but the receiver would love to have all the pages be consistent~ don't you think?? I used The Alley Way Stamps~ Trees Company stamp set for both the sentiment and that adorable apple. I also hot glued the Hinge Clip to my coaster base, further embellished with a button from my stash and some Natural Hemp Cord

So there you have it...What do you think???
I know exactly who will be getting this and sure hope she likes it!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT Wedneday!

Post-it Note Holder's

I know I posted already today but here is the project for the day. I have been watching many you-tube videos for ideas and tips and I LOVE this project. It is so super easy...I had a blast making them and I want to make more...and more...and more. I'm not sure I know that many people that need post-it notes :)
Anyways I was at Target and in their $1.00 bin is a 6pk of gel markers. The post it notes I got were a 4 pack of purple, green, pink and blue. All the colors of the gel pens. The pack also came with a gold and yellow that my boys have snatched.
So guess what..I am going back to Target tomorrow to stock up on these pens and make more.
These are actually going to the boys school for teacher gifts...Appreciation for all they do on a daily basis. I know they will LOVE them.

cardstock dimensions--7 3/8 x 3 1/4 then score at 3 1/8, 3 1/2 and 3 7/8

This is the youtube video I got the measurements for the post-it note holder from.
