Happy First Day of School.....{MCT Throwback Thursday}

Good Morning everyone and welcome to another
My Creative Time~Throwback Thursday.
For this, the DT makes a project using older MCT stamps and dies.
Since it is almost time for the kiddos to head back to school, I made a fun treat that would be a cute idea for teachers and parents.
Take a look and let me know what you think.....
Making treats is one of my most favorite things to do! The Treat Holder Die is perfect for filling with yummy treats and decorating for any occasion.
To make my project, I die cut the Treat Holder Die and stamped the cute pencils from the All Around Everything set.
Next using the OLDER Scallop & Stitched Circle set, I die cut one layer in green and the top layer in white cardstock.
The sentiment, stamped from the You're All Write set was added to the center of the circle die and layered onto the scalloped die to add to the front of the Treat Holder Die.
Using the same pencil stamp, I die cut it and colored it in with my copics to pop up onto the front of the circle and scallop.
I added some green, yellow and red Sixlets and tied it all together with some Trendy Twine.

MCT Supplies Used:

Additional Supplies Used:
Kraft Cardstock
Totally Red & Totally Lemon Trendy Twine
Biggie Candy Bags~ Trendy Twine
Sixlets

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and check out my project!
Make sure you stop by the MCT blog for more inspiration from the DT.
Have a GREAT Thursday!!

Just a Note....{MCT Tag it Tuesday}

Good Morning everyone!!

It is time for another Tag It Tuesday with My Creative Time
and I am sharing a fun back to school tag using the newest release Die set~ Stitched Zig Zag Dies

Take a look.....
I found the cutest mini post it notes a while back and just recently re-found them while cleaning out my desk. The new Stitched Zig Zag die (medium size) fit perfectly onto the front so I turned it into a tag for my post its.
Using the Zig Zag Die, I taped off the outsides so my stamping of the paper would stay inside the stitched section.

I used the Get Schooled stamp set and added my paper background. I grabbed the Many Greetings stamp set and stamped the "just a note" sentiment.
That cutie heart is also part of the stitched zig zag die set and fit perfectly above my sentiment.

Moving onto one of my favorite dies~ that fun pencil from the Love to Learn set. I die cut all the pieces, assembled the pencil and then popped it up onto the front of my tag.

The finishing touches to my tag was to wrap some Totally Red Trendy Twine around the notepad and tie my tag onto it with a simple bow.

I hope you like my project!!!
Make sure you head on over to My Creative Time to see what the rest of the DT made!
I know the inspiration is AWESOME!!!!

4 U Teacher.....{MCT Anything Goes!}

Good Morning everyone!
I am sharing a project today for My Creative Time's
Anything Goes Thursday!

School is starting for many next month so for my project today I used the newly released Stitched Square Box Die to make an adorable teacher gift.
How adorable is this??
To make my treat box, I started by die cutting the square box using white cardstock. Once both of the parts were cut, I used the Get Schooled stamp set and inked up (Tim Holtz Salty Ocean & Candied Apple) the white cardstock to look like lined paper.
That cute apple comes from the Love to Learn set, and each part was die cut using scrap cardstock. The apple was then popped up onto the front of the box.
The sentiment, from Chocolate Greetings was stamped onto the box next.
After everything was on the box, I assembled it up and tied a green ribbon to the top.

This was so simple to make and would be so fun to hand out on the first day of school.

Want to see more projects?

Happy Everything

It will be for sure your go to when making cards! Trust me!!
For my project I used the "1st day of school" sentiment and matched it with the "happy" die to make an easy CAS card.
I wanted to add some color so I grabbed the apple die from the Love to Learn set and placed some pattern paper behind my card mat. I added the green for the leaves and the brown for the stem.
Finally for some added dimension, I popped up the "happy" word die on some foam, the card mat on some foam and placed some random enamel dots around.

Happy First Day of School......{MCT Scrapping the Little Things}

Good Morning
 and
Welcome to another Scrapping the Little Things with My Creative Time
It is back to school for so many kiddos so I thought I would get a jump start on my PL page for when my boys head back to school in a few weeks. To make my page, I used all scraps of cardstock. BONUS!!!
Since my PL spead had 2 4x4 sections and 4 2x2 sections, I decorated the larger sections to house the pics from the first day of school. I used the 4x4 Journal Die for the bases and die cut cork paper using the Stitched Bracket Dies. The sentiment was then stamped onto the center of the cork paper using the stamp set~Write On. Some simple embellishments, staples and enamel dots finished up those 2 sections.
 For the first section of 2x2 squares, I used the 4x4 Journal Die + More set for the bases. That adorable apple die cut is from the Love to Learn set and again I used all scraps for each of the pieces. It was popped up using foam adhesive for alittle extra dimension since it is a stand alone section. The next square was set aside for my 7th grader :( It is so hard to believe that Parker will be in 7th already! I used the Bunch of Stitched Stars and some yellow cardstock for the star and popped him up with some foam adhesive. Then using the same cork paper, I die cut the 7th out from the Number Fun Dies + Add On set.
These 2 2x2 squares were done the same way as above. The only difference was instead of the apple, I used the fun pencil die cut and added some "scribble" below it using the You are Fabulous stamp set.
I can't wait to fill these with the first day of school pics of my boys! I really LOVE the way this page turned out!

Thanks for all you do!..... {MCT Made in Minutes}

Good Morning and Welcome to
My Creative Time's~ Made In Minutes!
This is where the MCT DT shares quick and easy projects using MCT stamps and dies that you can recreate in no time.

I am always looking for Thank You cards, especially for teachers to give during Teacher Appreciation Week. Yes I know that it is a ways away but with the school year just starting here I thought I would create an easy to replicate card to keep in my stash for when the time comes.
Here is my CAS design that you can recreate in a matter of minutes and would be very easy to mass produce. I sure hope you like it......
This is how I made my card.... I started with a kraft card stock base and added a layer of red card stock topped with a die cut white card stock mat. Next I stamped my sentiment using the new Write on Stamp set that was released last month from MCT.  Then using the Love to Learn stamp and die set, I cut out the adorable apple and the corresponding pieces and put it all together to pop up onto my card front.
To finish off my card, I added a small brown hemp bow to the apple.

Back 2 School.....{Inspiration Wednesday w/MCT}

Good Morning and Happy Hump day everyone!
 It is time for another
Wednesday Inspiration with My Creative Time
where the DT makes a project of our choice based on an inspiration subject.

For my project, I used a card I found on Pinterest HERE as my inspiration.
I love the adorable back to school theme and design of it and knew that I could make it my own using some of Miss Emma's awesome My Creative Time stamps and dies! Plus I was able to use some of the new release stamps and dies :)

So here is my take on the inspiration.....
This card was very simple to put together and everything I used on the card besides the twine is from MCT. I started with a white card stock base and added a smaller mat of lined designer paper. Since my card is a school themed card, I did add the notebook die to the top.
Next I die cut the new Number Fun Dies from 1-7 as well as the adorable apple from the Love to Learn set. Each of the apples were cut using coordinating pattern paper...aren't they just so cute?
Finally I stamped the sentiment, using 2 different ones from the Write On set, masking parts of the sentiment to make my own.
To finish my card off, I added some Totally Red Trendy Twine.

Welcome Back Mini Bus Cards.....{PKS Face Day}

Good Morning everyone!
It is my day to share a Face Day project over on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog!

For my project today, I made 2 mini back to school cards that I thought would be adorable to give to my kids bus drivers. We always talk about Teacher Appreciation, but tend to forget about the Bus Drivers that ensure our kiddo's make it to school and home safely every day!
These mini's, measuring at about 3x3 were so easy to put together and would be awesome to mass produce for Bus Driver Appreciation as well!

I used the Kawaii School Lollipop file from SVG Cutting Files and instead of making sucker covers, I used the layers only for my mini cards. I placed all the layers on what would be the base for the suckers, grouped them together and then removed the base layer. Next I used the offset feature to add a frame around my bus. After duplicating the frame and welding two together for the card base, I cut out all of my pieces.

I used probably my favorite PKS face assortment set~ PK~1300 Sweet & Innocent Face Assortment and stamped the 1" face onto my bus. I added some chalk to his cheeks, white gel pen to his eyes as well as some copic color to both his eyes and mouth. I finished his face off with some glossy accents.
I finished my cards off by adding the sentiment and bus number (which actually happens to be my kid's bus number) using My Creative Time's Write On stamp set.

So there is my Face Day project for today. I really hope you have enjoyed these cuties!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT day!!

Head of the Class Blog Hop! {Post 2}

*if you are looking for my PKS Challenge card please click HERE*

Good Morning, Happy Friday
and
Welcome to the Head of the Class Blog Hop with My Creative Time!
Miss Emma has designed this mini release with some AWESOME Back to School stamps and dies plus a bunch of add on dies to match some of the already released ones.
Sit back, you get to take a front seat in the class :) while the DT showcases these new releases.
Now you should be coming from the VERY talented
but if you are just stopping in, make sure to head back to the start~ the AMAZING
You are not going to want to miss a thing! She really ROCKED another awesome new release (well she always does, doesn't she?? Of course!!)

I have 3 different projects to share, hope you like them!
A while back Emma made this adorable treat pouch using the Tri-fold Card Die (she has a GREAT video showing how she made it too). I used the same technique she did and made it to hold some pencils. I ended up cutting off the decorative top to the die cut to add the notebook border. I did add some machine stitching around the sides and bottom to made sure my pocket does not separate.
Then using the new Love to Learn set, I die cut the chalkboard, the welcome back sentiment and the awesome pencil! Isn't it just adorable?? LOVE the stitching on it too!!! I did use the other new release~Write On to stamp the number 2, the scribble from the You are Fabulous to place under the pencil and then finished up my project with some enamel dots and some Trendy Twine.

My Creative Time Supplies Used:
Love to Learn (New Release)
Write On (New Release)

Other Supplies Used:
DCWV~The Grade School Stack
Sewing Machine
Enamel Dots

Next up are these adorable pencil sucker covers.
I love making treats to hand out. Even though my boys are older now and probably wont be handing these out to their teachers, these would for sure make a GREAT Teacher Appreciation treat for younger kiddo's to give to their teachers. For these I used the 2 new sentiments from the Write On stamp set. This set is packed with awesome new sentiments! Since I hid the Kawaii face that came with the file, I thought it would look adorable with a Peachy Keen face instead. And since the sentiment is "sweet" along with the sucker inside, I used the adorable Sweet & Innocent face assortment set :)
Finished off with some Totally Black Trendy Twine, these are ready to be given to that special teacher!

Write On (New Release)

Other Supplies Used:
Peachy Keen Stamps~ PK-1300 Sweet & Innocent Face Assortment
SVG Cutting Files~Kawaii School Lollipop
Trendy Twine~Totally Black
copics, glossy accents, chalk. white gel pen

*******************************
Last up is a card I made using the Freebie Stamp set that everyone will receive when they place an order this weekend! Whooo Hooo!!!
I wanted to keep my card on the simple side to make the sentiment the focal point. Using the Stay Focused stamp, I stamped it onto the inside piece of the Just Simple Live frame die. I cut a frame slightly larger and mounted the sentiment onto it. Using the new Stitched Decorative Banner dies, I die cut 3 pieces using the largest die and just extending it to make it longer. Some random enamel dots and this card was completed.

Stitched Decorative Banners
Just Simply Live

Hey Smartie!......{PKS Challenge 14~12}

Morning everyone!
Welcome to another fun Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge!!!!

For this challenge you can pick either the sketch OR the Photo/Color picture OR combine them both! A little twist to what we were doing with our challenges~ instead of having 2 weeks to enter, you now have a month to enter! So get playing with your PKS and enter to win an AWESOME prize!
So for my card, I used the sketch and pulled 3 colors from the color pallet to come up with this card....hope you like it!
School is starting here for my boys in less than 3 weeks so I took advantage of this sketch to make a School themed card. I pulled the colors green, blue and orange from the photo as my starting point and found designer paper from Echo Park that was perfect. For that adorable pencil, I used a file from SVG Cutting Files, hid the face and added my own PKS face from the Simple Sallies stamp set. Some chalk, white gel pen and glossy accents finished him up. Isn't he adorable????
Then for the sentiment, I used the stamp set~ Smartie the Owl and matched it with the doodle mark from MCT. Looks like a pencil mark doesn't it?

Good Morning

Welcome to the much anticipated
34th New Release from My Creative Time!

This week has been so much fun with the DT sharing amazing projects and inspiration! But we have one more day of AWESOME~NESS!

Now you should be coming from the VERY talented

but if you are just stopping in, make sure to head back to the start~ the AMAZING
You are not going to want to miss a thing! She really ROCKED this release (well she always does, doesn't she?? Of course!!)

Today I get to showcase the Fun Letter Background stamp and I have 2 projects to share with you all..perfect for Back to School time!!
Here is what I made....a card and a Hand Santizer holder. Now this would surly make the first day of school and the teacher super happy! LOL!
Let's take a closer look at these.......
First up is my card. I used the AWESOME new Fun Letter Background stamp, and stamped it onto some white card stock. Then I went about building my card on top.  I used all products from MCT except the apple which I cut using my cameo and a file I found in the Silhouette Store. For the paper, I used the 3x4 Journal Die and then just added the paper top using one of the Fun Stitched Edges Die. For the lines on the paper, I used the Get Schooled Stamp set! Always fun to mix in older stamps and dies with the new release!!!! Finally, I used the back to school sentiment from the All Around Everything stamp set and the adorable pencil from the All Around Everything Accessories set. I colored the pencil with my copics, popped it up onto my card and tied some Trendy Twine around the paper to add a little bit more embellishments.  Such a sweet back to school card :)

Next up is my matching Hand Sanitzer Cover. A while back I designed this file and made some cute Christmas Hand Sanitizer covers using my PKS. We all know how much teachers use this germ juice so I used my file again for a back to school one to match my card!
I used the Fun Letter Background stamp again on the die cut panels of my project and then stamped the matching sentiment for the front again. Once the Hand Sanitzer Cover was put together,  I closed it off with some more Trendy Twine.

***If you are interested in this file, I have placed it into my Etsy Store for purchase HERE. It is very easy to put together! The files includes the base, 2 panels (one for the front and one for the back and a center holder for a small Bath and Body Works Hand Sanitizer. These are ALWAYS on sale and perfect for those last minute gifts!! Plus these can be embellished to fit ANY holiday!!***
