Happy New Year!!! EXCITING NEWS.....2014 is going to be AWESOME.....

Morning everyone and Happy 2014!!!
I am so excited about 2014....I know it is going to be an AWESOME year!!!
I have lots of fun things coming and will share them all in due time but are you ready for this HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT????

Miss Emma has chosen me to be one of her new DT Members for 
My Creative Time!!

EEEKKKK that is pretty much all I said when I read the email from her!!
I am sure all my followers know what a HUGE MCT fan I am~ I use something from her on almost every project I make and I can not wait to share all the fun new stamps and dies Emma has coming!
If you are new to my blog~coming from MCT to say hello~ here is alittle about myself :)

 I am very luck to be a SAHM from Buffalo, NY. I am married to a wonderful and very supportive husband and I have  two very active boys, ages 12 1/2 and 10 . Between football for my oldest son and travel baseball with my youngest, I needed an activity for myself and I found a love of  card making using dies, stamps and my FAV cutting machine~ the Silhouette Cameo. You can always find me sharing projects here on my blog~Chick-n-Scrap and entering my projects in various challenges with my hope to inspire just someone along my crafty journey.

I wanted to share 2 projects I made for the DT call....Both of them holiday related :)
First are some 3D Santa Pillow Boxes

I was asked by one of the teacher's from my son's school to make her some gift card holders that would hold more than 1 GC. I love how pillow boxes look and thought these my work for what she wanted. Well they were a HUGE hit and I ended up making 15 for her. Then my girlfriend saw these and wanted some, so I made another 12 for her. They were really fun to make and I had feathers floating around my crafty area for weeks..LOL

My next project is a holiday Shaker Card. 
I saw this idea on pinterest~ a snow globe type card using a jar stamp and knew with some MCT stamps and dies I could make this a card with my twist on it.

It is so much fun in person, shaking the chunky glitter around inside the Jar Die cut.

My Creative Time DT Call Card Entry~ Birthday Card

Good Morning everyone!!

I am sooooo excited! Emma over at My Creative Time is having a DT call.

I LOVE Emma's stamps and I thought I would enter a card for her DT call.

Hey you never know right....have to enter to be considered :)

Here is my DT Call Card:

For my card I used the files from SVGCuts~ Cheryl's Cute Bugs

~card base 4.25 x 5.5"

~background 3.75 x 5"

~ adorable snail and all the layers cut at 3.5"

My DP is all from the Bird Song 6 x 6 Designer Paper Pad by First Edition Paper

I also used PTI card stock in Sweet Blush

My crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl Jam in Goblin Green

My sentiment was stamped with Memento Ink on My Creative Time~ Curly Label Die

The sentiment is from My Creative Time~ Many Greetings Stamp Set

The adorable snail face was stamped using PKS~Cottage Cutz Bugs (CC-PK4x6-002)

Extras

 that were added include

 white gel pen doodles around the card frame as well as on the snail and to color in the eyes.

 Copic R85 for the mouth

Inkadinkado pigment ink for all the inking around my cuts in Blush.

I hope you like my card and I hope Emma likes it also :)
