Canon EOS 5D Mark II

It's a scam

JS bought a camera for Monkey yesterday
so I'll spend more time with him doing......photography
-_-"

bcoz.....bcoz....this entire week I've been so engrossed with my amazing fantabulous iPad
and totally sooooo totally ignored him :P
*weiiii u oso got one iPad mar...*

I think he's kinda disappointed that I was only OK about it
*I LIKE the CAMERA OK!!!!!*

a powerful full frame DSLR
21 Megapixel and a very long list of its technical superpowers it can perform
on its small body *well consider small for its range*

have yet to fully abuse this new gadget coz I just got it less than 24 hours....
and 1st priority wat to name it?

JS: "let's name our cameras!!!" *he's more excited than me*
Monkey: "errrrr.....ok wat do u have in mind?" *fingers busy tapping and swishing on the iPad"

JS: "My camera will be Rocco and yours will be Nina!!!"
Monkey's eyes dilated and paused her swishing game on the iPad and let out a scream
"WAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!"

JS: "why not?"
Monkey: "NO JOKE!!!! simple...yours is tai farn shue....mine is sai farn shue...DONE."
and continued her addictive "making stacking serving burgers" game

JS pouted :(((((((((

so dear readers...don't you think Nina & Rocco is kinda too much and too gelish?

Angel Dreams by Zhang Jingna, Singapore

Monkey & JS & Berr are in Singapore right now
attending the great works by Jingna
and more makans + minums
hehehehehehhehe

Jingna was born in Beijing and moved to Singapore when she was just a lil cute 8-year-old.
she was truly a gift with such talents in arts, fashion and sports
in fact she started her journey as a sportwoman winning numerous awards
including Sports Girl of the Year when she broke a record for 10m Air Rifle

after 6 years.....she left shooting with air rifle......with her ever steady hands...she picked up a camera...
and shoot other things - photography
:))))))
well the rest is history
her works are so sensual and romantic
at such tender age of 22, she's truly remarkable
having work for big names like Harper's Bazaar, Mercedes, Mont Blanc......

Bonus Post *by JS*

Yes, i am feeling very free tonite.........so another bonus post :)
After blogging on big sandwich.......I went down to KLCC and test out the Canon EOS1D MK4 on night shots. Must say my mean machine attracted a lot of attention. hehe.
Took pics at high ISO(>4000).........Very low noise.....Don't you just marvel at how advance technology is nowadays!! Experts are predicting that in about 3 years time, we should be able to hit ISO exceeding 1 million and without much noise!! it's literally like seeing in pitch darkness........well guys by then please remember to draw your curtains :)

Our twin tower is pretty spectacular at night.

This last picture i took this morning from office at sunrise.

Tai Ko of all DSLR *by JS*

ALAS.......it's here!!!!

one fine morning Monkey woke JS up and ask a strange question........

Monkey :- Do you like surprises??

JS :- depends what type of surprises :)

She quickly lead me into the next room and open a cupboard and ask me if this was what i was looking for??

Monkey :- ........and this is your birthday prezy.

I rubbed my eyes in disbelieve and was wondering if i was still dreaming and mabuk from last night dinner and still in dreamland :) soon i was opening the box and assembling the camera and the EF16-35mm F2.8 wide zoom lens.

now you can see why i fell for the "dark side" :)
The EF16-35mm F2.8 wide zoom
sleek eh??

good ergonomics!
clear and easily accessible

Yes, this is the camera(and lens) i was waiting for and what a lovely surprise to get my birthday prezy early :) Thank you monkey......hug hug kiss kiss......i promise i will snap lots of nice pictures and post on your blog.

This is the latest arrival in the DSLR scene. The machine is equipped with 16.1 MP and a APS-H format sensor(1.3X crop) for imaging. The autofocus system has TTL phase detection with 45 illuminated focus points. The metering is made up of 63 zone TTL metering, evaluative, center weighted, partial and spot metering. The most impressive feature of this awesome machine is the ISO range. Normal ISO range is 100 to 12800 and expanded ISO is 50 to 102,400!!! at ISO of 50,000 we are approaching "kenot see" lighting condition so we are talking about night vision here guys!! AT an ISO of 12,800 the noise is still moderately low......amazing technology nowadays. Other features includes HD video recording, live view, auto image optimizer(equivalent to Nikon's D lighting), etc. At the heart of all these technology is a dual digic 4 processor hence the amazing speed of this camera.

Comparing the EOS1Dmk4 to the days of SLR the SLR film camera was a far cry . I remember getting my first SLR in 1980. It was a Nikon F3(yes, i was always a Nikon user until recently.........) and it was the "tai ko" then ! With film cameras there is not much complications whilst with DSLR, you have to be more technically minded to appreciate the technology.

With so much technology the missing link between a good camera and a good picture is still the idiot behind it........from the era of SLR to DSLR, this has not changed bit.......so no matter what, it's still the photographer.
Ahemmm........This is not me lar in case you are wondering.....hehe. He is no other than Ken Watanabe who is an ambassador for Canon cameras :)

p/s.......this post is dedicated to the celebrity photog for helping me make up my mind to switch to the dark side............over a simple dinner :)
