Poinsettia Christmas Wishes by Cheryl Walker

2:30 AM 1 Comments
Hello everyone, Cheryl here and I am super EXCITED to be sharing my first post with you all today. My Poinsettia Christmas Wishes Easel card (card base & layers) was created using all Cheery Lynn Dies!  Hope you enjoy my post for today :)
I absolutely LOVE making Christmas cards, and I love how easy this card came together for today's post. Basically you just cut and layer all pieces and I have posted each one below for you. Super fun! The only pieces that have a different technique would be my Poinsettia flowers and the Holly Leaves, but I do love doing the glass technique on those too :)

Layer 1-the card base I used Cheery Lynn's Pierced Sacker #3 XL-21 die set. I cut out in white card stock 1 piece using the largest die in this set, and then folded in half another piece to cut for the easel part of my card today.
Layer 2- Circle layers I cut my 2 design paper(one for outside, and one for inside) circles from the LPC4 Circle Pierce and Cut tool -LG Silver Pierce Tool(circle 4")
Layer 3- Pierced Stacker #2 I used the 4 1/8" x 3 1/8" for the layer 3 cut in a green polka dot paper for the outside card layer. I also cut one for the inside it is cut using the 2 1/2" x 1 7/8"
Layer 4- M-7 Oval Classic -SM Silver Stacker Layer 8 or the Christmas striped design paper on the front.
Last layer 5- is the B682 Quadrafoil Tag cut in a green embossed polka dot card stock, and then a white card stock for the seniment.
Poinsettias cut in polka dot design paper using Cheery LynnB324 Poinsettia Strip die. I then used some ink to distress the edges of the flowers and then my Glass Flower Technique. Lastly adding a gold pearl to the center of each poinsettia. The leaves are from the Cheery Lynn Designs Christmas Bell 7 die.

Celebrate by Julie Lavalette

Hi fellow crafters, it's JULIE here today. I have made a shabby chic card to share with you all that would be suitable for many occasions including a Wedding, Prom and Birthday.

I scattered some Frantage over my background layer and tattered the edges for a shabby feel, adding my die cut layers. My dress I glued onto another layer of card and fussy cut around it. I then added lace to the hem and a scattering of pearls and a net shawl draped around the coat hanger for extra detail.

My Tea Roses were inked at the edges and Flower Soft added to the centres. I love these pretty flowers and how delicate they look.

Believe by Debbie Brownmiller

It's Debbie here from Debbie's Time Out welcoming you  to the CLD blog. It is nice to see you here. Today I am going to share a card with you featuring the  Quadrafoil Tag and the Fleur De Lis Border from the last new release. They are both such pretty and intricate designs.
My base was started with black cardstock. I cut two pieces of mauve paper and then cut one edge on each piece with the Fleur De Lis Border Set - B680. I cut a strip of the pattern paper and layered the two pieces of mauve paper on each side of it with the cut pattern facing each other. I then layered the French Lattice Small at the top. This gave me my base that I wanted to build on.
I used the Quadrafoil Tag cut in both purple paper and white paper. I fussy cut the oval from the white which was only a couple of short easy snips. I then layered the sentiment Believe to the center of the tag. I cut another tag in purple and cut the top and bottom flourish design from it to use as my corners. This set does come with a separate flourish design but I wanted bigger corner pieces so I chose to cut them from the tag itself.  For the One Free Wish  fairy I cut it in three different colors. Skin tone, flower pattern paper for the dress and purple pattern patter for the wings. The glitter on the wings give her the finishing touch. I did cut the fairy from the rest of the design as well.
For the bottom left corner I used the  Small Gardenia to create a beautiful flower and fussy cut some of the leaves from the paper to place under it.
Here is a closer look at the bottom half of the card showing the pretty borders.

I would like to invite you to come join our bi-weekly challenge @http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge . The theme is "Back to Nature".  So anything associated with nature .
