Happy Tuesday everyone! leslierahye here to share with you a fun celebration card! These happy little dancing mice are celebrating the Scottish New Year. The beautiful Doily Stacker Circle sets off this dancing duo. A couple of white and teal flowers echo the colors of the mice and their clothes to complete the look. A Classic Circle is tucked between the Horizon Circle Boutique Stacker and the Doily Stacker bringing it all together!

Living the Life with Rhonda

3:30 AM 4 Comments
Happy Monday crafty friends!  Rhonda here today to host the blog.

Today I have a pretty shaped card to share with you.  I love the look and feel of a pretty border don't you?  I started with the French Flair Doily Stacker, cut it from a pretty oatmeal colored card stock, then inked the edges with a Biscotti colored chalk ink. A little touch of ink helps the details pop sometimes!

Our French Flair and French Flair Scalloped dies create the sentiment block.

The charcoal scallop layer is adhered with foam dots as is my sentiment.

My sentiment is fussy cut, then I accented it with the Mini Fanciful Flourish on the left with a few tiny blooms from the Embellishment 2 collection.  The Miniature Rose and Darling Daisies were added on the right side with greenery from the Ivy Strip. Pattern papers used are "The Avenues" by BoBunny.

Don't forget, we have an all new Halloween challenge this week for you to play along with!  We would love to see your creations!!!

Thanks so much for stopping on over today!

Thank You With Cheery Lynn Designs

CLD dies are so easy to combine to create intricate layers - I used one of our intricate frame dies and paired it with one of the new Doily Stackers for a beautiful result.  The flower was made with the Black Eyed Susan Strip and the leaves were cut from the Fall Leaf Mesh Border.

Beautiful Friend

3:30 AM 1 Comments

School officially starts back today - so I thought it was a great time to start sharing more fall-themed cards.  Just by adding some fall foliage to my flower cluster it really helped with the theme.  After I cut my flowers, I painted them with Viva Decor 3D Metallic Stamp Paint, and then shaped them.

Remember, tonight is the deadline for applying for the Cheery Lynn Designs DT.  If you have sent your application in, you should have gotten a confirmation email.  If you haven't then you need to resend.  Good luck to all of those applying!

The CLD Challenge this week is Frame It.  A winner will be chosen and will receive a  $20 store credit.

Save the Date

3:30 AM 6 Comments

Hi Cheery Lynn Designs fans!  I really love the Steampunk Corset die, but today decided to show you a project using this die in a more traditional way.  I used it, along with the Mega French Pastry Doily, to create a wedding dress - as the focal point for this Save the Date card.  You could use this same idea for princess dresses, proms - all kinds of ways!  I added Xyron Magnet tape to the back so this could go on a refrigerator.

Use the largest die from the Coved Rectangle Stackers to cut the gold base.   Cut the Heart Coved Rectangle Doily Stacker to cut the next layer.  Add to the base and machine stitch around the edge for decorative purposes. Die cut the fanciful flourish and flowers and place on the base as shown.  Die cut the letters and arrange the letters over the flourish.  Die cut the smallest Heart Coved Rectangle, and add the date.  Adhere to the top of the card with foam adhesives.  Die cut the corset from the gold, and the matching lace embellishments from the cream.  Assemble as shown and add pearls for the buttons.  Die cut the mega doily and cut in half.  Accordion pleat the doily and attach to the back of the corset using  Double Sided Tape.  Apply to the bottom right corner of the card with  foam dots.  Add a strip of  Magnet tape to the back. Finish with a lace bow.

You will notice that I used my favorite Cheery Lynn Designs font - the Delicate Lace Script.  This fits in perfect for this week's challenge - fun with letters.  Be sure to play along for your chance to win a $20 store credit.  Also, remember, we are having an open design team call, through August 26th.

Elegant Summer Card with Cheery Lynn Designs

3:30 AM 8 Comments
Can you believe August is already here? How is the summer going by so quickly? My card today is an elegant summer card, that would work well for any special occasion.

I used a Square Stacker to cut an opening on the front of my card, and then cut the French Lattice, and adhered it to the opening and covered over the edges with the Horizon Square Doily Stacker.

The flowers were made with the Black Eyed Susan Strip.  The flowers and leaves were all cut with white cardstock, and colored with pigment inkpads.  You can see how this technique really shows off the beautiful embossing of the leaves.

Don't forget that Cheery Lynn Designs is having a Design Team Call. You can find all of the details here.here And our weekly challenge is "Anything Goes" - so we expect to see tons of beautiful Cheery Lynn Designs projects!

Good Things Are Going To Happen

3:30 AM 9 Comments
Did you enjoy seeing all of the new release from Cheery Lynn Designs? It's a great release, and I just can't get enough of it!  So I've got a shaped card to share with you today, that highlights the great new Doily Stackers that we added this go round.  I am going to be using these all of the time!

I also used the new Gardenia Flower Strip to make these gorgeous flowers.  I am working on a video now to show you 3 different techniques for shaping this flower - from simple to advanced.  For these, I used a wet shaping technique with mists from Lindy's Stamp Gang, as well as their 2-tone embossing powders. The centers were made with the cuties fringe that is part of the Black Eyed Susan Strip (and it's just really fun to use!)

Playing with roses

3:30 AM 5 Comments
Hello everyone!

Jenn here with my first post as guest designer for my most favorite die company!  I hope this finds everyone having an absolutely wonderful and crafty weekend so far!

For my card, I pulled out my much loved rose strip dies.  I've seen a technique that I've been wanting to play around with... spritzing and scrunching.  I'm always so thrilled with how versatile Cheery Lynn's flower dies are and how you can get different looks even with the same dies.  All three of my flowers were made with the same three Cheery Lynn rose strips (one strip of each size: miniature, medium and large).

The roses were all made of Tissue Stock.  The one on the bottom left was shaped, while the rose on the top was shaped and then spritzed and scrunched.  The last rose on the right was spritzed and scrunched without being shaped.  Each so easy, yet so very pretty!

The card base was cut from the largest of the French Flair Stackers.  The border was made with largest of the French Flair Doily Stackers, then cut out of the middle was the second largest of the French Flair Stackers, and filled in with the same cut on a different paper.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!

Cheery Lynn is All Abuzz!

3:30 AM 1 Comments
There are exciting things happening at Cheery Lynn Designs - and I know you  are going to want to be a part! In July, we will have a mega release of the most incredible dies - you are going to love them! And at the bottom of my post, you will want to see the super summer contest we have cooked up for you! It's too big to miss.

There is an equestrian estate close to my house, and around the entire perimeter of this large farm, are gorgeous rose bushes. They are in full bloom now, so I was inspired to pull out my trusty Build a Flower 2, and create my own rose blossom.
