Great Joy Magical World 8x8 Layout by Amy Voorthuis

3:30 AM 0 Comments
Good morning Cheery Lynn Fans.
I am so happy you are here with me today. I have a 8x8 layout to show you all made with the lovely Maja Design's "Joyous Winter Days" papers and some of my precious Cheery Lynn dies. I wanted to create a winter landscape with that cute picture I used.

Great Joy Magical World:
First, I spayed with white colored spray on my background and then I inked the edges with gesso and dark ink. Then I added a star stencil on my background. The flowers were already prepared so I added them too after I placed the picture.

After that I cut our a whole bunch of leaf dies to add them to my flower clusters....and this time I did not add any snow elements because I thought it looked snowy enough. This was a really fun layout to make.

Cheery Lynn Designs dies used:

Thank you so much for visiting the blog today!
I hope you enjoyed my post and I have inspired you to use your Cheery Lynn Designs dies. You could also visit my blog at Amy's Pretty Papers for more inspiration.
Have a wonderful day!

A Christmas Card for You from Maggi

3:30 AM 0 Comments
Hi there Cheery Lynn fans, Maggi here today to share a pretty card with gorgeous blooms!  The Cheery Lynn Poinsettia Strip 6 Piece Die Set makes the perfect poinsettias for cards, not too big, not too small, just right!  The poinsettias perfectly set off the pristine winter scene from Graphic 45's Winter Wonderland collection.

The greeting is a metal piece.  I rubbed some white paint into the etched sentiment to make it stand out and then mounted it on a small die cut from the Nesting Doll- Oval #1 set.

To make that pretty wreath, I used  the Joy To The World Wreath  set and cut two wreaths from slightly different colored paper and glued them together such that the branches opposed each other.  Then I added some Stickles to mimic holly berries.

I really love sparkle on my Christmas cards so I used a red Wink of Stella pen to brush sparkle all ove the poinsettias.  It's too bad that you can't really see that so much in the photo, but it is there!  The flower centers are some white centers that I purchased and used alcohol ink to color.

The inside of the card is simple, I used the Merry Christmas Set 2 Piece Die Set for the sentiment and added a border strip.  Easy!
