Chris is going to get some new glasses, but we can’t decide what style is best. He’s thinking square since that’s the current “hip” style, and I’m all for glasses that look pretty much like the pair he has now.
What do y’all think? And Why?
First, here are his current glasses. They are like Barbie’s magic color changing hair, only they turn dark in the sunshine instead of pink in the water.
Vote for your favorite and tell us why you chose it.
Thanks!
Now some square pairs:

Mom and I vote for C.
I also like D and mom liked E. However, [this is mom], you will find that if you go with the larger, rectangular frames that the lenses will appear thicker at the outer edges. Whereas, the small oval frames will not include the thick outer edges of the lens. Does that make sense?
Well, if he was making a normal face in any of the pictures, it would make it easier to decide, but it appears he can't smile. Haha... I actually like either A or E the most. But that is just my opinion.
The funny faces, yes, I was going to explain--
Chris is pretty much blind without glasses, so when he looks at the camera without them, it's just like a blind person--can't see where the camera really is, doesn't know when I'm taking the picture, doesn't know where to look, etc.
thanks for the votes so far!!
Let me change that to c or g.
G! mostly because his expression in that photo is PRICELESS. But I think he can totally pull off the square lenses. If he wants to stand out more, he can get away with I or J too.
*snicker*
so much fun.
Just FYI--I didn't take any of the pics when he's in the blue shirt. A random girl at the optometrist did, so it's not my fault he has such goofy expressions!
Crowdsourcing, what fun! If going for round, Derek and I vote for C. For square frames, I like H or I. Derek says I, because if you are going to make a statement, do it all the way. Square frames definitely say, "I'm a hip and artsy programmer person at a hip place of business,in super hip town" more than the round frames.
Although, coming from someone who is also blind as can be, you don't have to make goofy faces, you can smile blindly :) don't really have a vote, but smaller shapes will hide thickness. also, if he goes for plastic it will hide some thickness also. oh and get the hi-index, non-reflective lenses. i know it is more expensive, but really worth it with a high prescription.
I say C or I. C is non descript and blending. I is stand-outish.
