I'm sure I have said before how much I love Friday nights and it was even nicer knowing I was participating in FNSI. You may notice I have started a new project!! In my defence (do I need a defence?) Charlie's quilt is on hold while I wait for more thread. I wanted to make the Tis the Season for last Christmas but never got to it and it has been on my to-do list all this year so it feels good to have finally started. I'm not sure I will get it finished by Christmas though! We enjoyed a beautiful day today, the sun has been shining and I spent three hours gardening. I am definitely a fair weather gardener! Yesterday I was given lots of perennials by a dear lady from church so that was the push I needed to get stuck in with the weeding and make room for the new plants. Spring is such a pretty time in the garden, I enjoyed wandering around and snapping photos of flowering plants. The pink fuchsia flower is tiny, the size of my little fingernail and the pretty ruffled daffodils are my new ones planted this year. The fiery orange clivia's are doing really well this year too. It's cooling down now, time to light the fire, then dinner, and I wonder if I can fit in some stitching too? Wendy xx

Your garden's looking beautiful Wendy. I do so love springtime in the garden. Love The Birdhouse "Tis the Season". I did three blocks from this book last year and made the table runner as a xmas gift and have been promising myself to do them all this time and make the wallhanging for me.

Tis the season is such a nice design - I love your block... the cute reindeer fabric around it is perfect. Your garden is looking nice too - I have that fuchsia as well and it's just lovely.
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy, I could only wish for my garden to be half as pretty, gorgeous pics... Love your TTS stitching, you might progress it quicker than you think...
ReplyDeleteFriday is my favourite day of the week too:) You've got some pretty flowers growing in your garden at the moment. I love seeing colour growing in the garden but alas it's very hot here so I haven't been out in the yard, I like you prefer the cooler weather to get outside and work in the garden. Enjoy your new crafty project.
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy,
ReplyDeleteI can see you are very busy with your beautiful project, that I'm sure once you finish it will be great. I like very much all your beautiful flowers, here is autumn now and the leaves are falling down, the vegetable garden is finished and my perennials are getting dormant. But the colors of fall are very rich and I love that.
Enjoy your spring and all your beautiful flowers. Have a blessed day. Hugs to you
